The cut is nice, no pulling. I have fine, thin hair so I can't attest to how they work on thick/coarse hair. They work great for trimming my beard as well though. The only thing close to a complaint is that they do tend to get hot! We use blade cooling/lubricating spray to cool them off and lubricate the blades as needed. I wish they came with some type of carry case to keep everything organized, but since it doesn't we just put everything back in the original box after use for storage.
