This toilet aid has lasted well, I have one in each loo. I personally find it easier to use by reaching behind rather than from the front and holding towards the middle where the hand grip starts. I find the shape suits well ergonomically and it’s easy to keep clean. I do find it works much better using wipes, it’s keeps them held in place and releases them successfully using the push release mechanism. I have found that loo paper does tend to roll up or fall off and is harder to release - the grip is good so the paper tends to rip and some bits get stuck in the between the grips. I think a few tries to get best wipe/paper wrapping techniques, preference and positioning is needed to work out what may suit your needs best - everyone is very different after all.

Pleasantly surprised by this product, not everyone wants to admit to having to use one, but in this case I'd be advising people who have trouble reaching to those places,to get this. I will admit I had a little trouble mastering loading of paper, but I guess I didn't read the advice given, once I did that..no issues..no mess, easy release of soiled paper, and easy clean ready for next time. Light and easy to hold. Definitely gets the job done!

This works, and works well. But there is a weak spot where the plastic moulding narrows for the rubberised grip. After a while, it cracks there and disintegrates and you have to buy a replacement. There is a newer version which is grey and black instead of white and turquoise which fixes the problem: get that instead.

Well, I am afraid this device is just not suitable. First the toilet paper, you have to sort of wrap it around the end as well as stuffing some of it in a grip mechanism. The paper slips off quite easily when wiping, but trying to get it to release after wiping is impossible. At this point you have had to pull the device out in front of you, hopefully not catching your privates or thighs with the poo-laden toilet paper still attached. You end up having to remove the used toilet paper by hand and drop it down the loo. Secondly, the device is far too long. It really takes quite a lot of skill to maneuver the device underneath you into the correct position. Finally, trying to get the end of the device in between the cheeks is impossible. Remember that slippy toilet paper. I like to get right in there, between the cheeks but it cant be done with this. In fact, it just ends up spreading poo all over your cheeks. The device usually ends up with poo all over it, as do your hands.

As someone who is disabled (with MS) and has difficulty both standing and gripping things, I am always looking for things that may make my life a bit/lot easier. So when I saw this gadget and the reviews, I thought it might be useful for my needs and it was worth spending £13 to see if it would work for me. The first few uses of it have proved that it is quite useful and mostly does the job that it is designed to do. Certainly attaching toilet paper to it is easy and it does hold it. But the latter bit of the last sentence is the problem. It holds the paper TOO well. In fact it is getting the gadget to let go of the paper that is one of the problems. I am repeatedly pushing the base of it, and I know it works as I can feel it pushing through the inside, but the paper just seems to cling on and will not let go. I shake the paper a bit, and have made a small pen mark at the base to show the side that has got the gripper on it, so the paper can try to drop out of the gripper when pushed, but still it is reluctant to let go. Incidentally, I have tried the gadget using both a cheap Supermarket's Own Brand and also the Market Leader (the one associated with cute Golden Labrador puppies). Both of these work the same with the device. But i am persistant, and will not be putting it back in its box any time soon. Maybe there is a knack for using it and that eventually, after quite a few goes, it will work every time and I will wonder what my problem was, though looking at other reviews I might not be so lucky. But I will keep on trying and hope that eventually it works every time.

It does the job, but the part that holds the toilet paper should be more modified so it grips the toilet paper better.

I brought this when I hurt my back and was having trouble moving and bending etc .....the extra length was brilliant and allowed me to wipe my bottom ! Now to the bad bits ......1st the paper would not release when the release button was pressed and I had to remove the paper by hand ! 2nd....on the 2nd use I pressed the release button a little harder to release the paper which it did but in the process the release mechanism broke so it would no long work !!! All in all a brilliant idea ..it just needs those 2 things sorting out !!

When my arthritis got so bad that I could no longer wipe my own bottom, I got pretty depressed. More in hope than expectation I seached Amazon and saw that I was not alone in having the issue. Ordered this product and was impressed. It was well packed and came with excellent instructions for use. The product is sturdy but nice and light, the wiping end smooth and the paper eject button easy to use. So you just mummify the relevant end in soft loo paper, use, repeat as required. Note that the instructions state to sanitize with wipes and do not immerse in water. I use Clinell which are available here on Amazon and are what my local hospital use.

I bought this for my dad who has ALS. He can't use his hands very well anymore and apparently can't reach his "behind" very well. But he said it worked very well for him and that the shape was just right! Also good to know is that he could easily press the button so that the toilet paper or wipe drops. Easy too clean too. So it's definitely recommend by the sound of it. 🤭

When I had my right rotator cuff repaired this tool helped me with my day to day cleanliness. I just couldn't see someone else assisting me with this task. It works well once you figure out the right tissue ratio. I find that 6 squares work just right and 3 wipes if you use flushable wipes. If this is something you need...it will do what you need if you work with it. Would buy again and would recommend.
