If you have pets, this is an absolute must and you must get refill liquids. This review is way overdue. Let me tell you I have carpet and I have tile in my home. I have cats and I have a dog. Once in a while, my dog will mark her territory and my cat will have an accident so this machine with all of the attachments is 100% whatever pet owner should have!! This machine is very lightweight and easy to clean. There is an extraction tool that extracts liquids, a.k.a. pee right off the floor or carpet so if my pets have an accident, this machine saves the day!! This machine is very lightweight and easy to clean. If my pets have a pee accident, I will use the urine/ liquid extraction tool first only sucking up the pee first and not spraying any cleaning solution yet. That extraction tool traps it in the container so that the urine does not go through your entire machine and stink it up. Once I have extracted as much urine as possible I will switch to the regular cleaning head. I will go back to the same spot and begin carpet cleaning as usual now spraying the cleaning solution, letting it soak for a few seconds and sucking it all out of the carpet. I will do this maybe three or four times just to be safe. There are two separate areas for these solutions to be added into the machine. Just follow the manufacturer directions. Using the two solutions that the machine comes with during this cleaning process is literal magic! I cannot even smell urine in the carpet and the smell has never come back, cat pee, or dog pee. In fact, I also own a black light, which was also purchased from Amazon, maybe 15 bucks and when your carpet is dry, you can take the black light at night in the dark and shine it to the floors walls or carpet and it will show you if there is any urine left. I have done this so that I can also clean old dried in spots and yes, it works on all dried in spots. I have an older cat in his urine on and off has a really foul order to it. He had an accident in my office once and I could not get the smell out of my carpet in the specific area. Once I got this machine. I used it as instructed along with the two solutions that it comes with and I can tell you that smell is gone. My cat never goes back to that area either. I have tried plenty of other solutions and mixtures and sprays believe me. Do yourself a favor and make the purchase!

I absolutely love my Shark portable carpet and upholstery cleaner. It's compact and lightweight, which makes it so easy to carry from room to room whenever I need it. I mainly use it on my couches and my children's mattresses whenever they have the occasional accident, and it has never let me down. For such a small machine, it's incredibly powerful. It lifts stains with ease and leaves everything looking and smelling fresh. One thing that really surprised me is how much pet hair it pulls out of my furniture. Between my dog and cat, my couches collect plenty of fur, and this cleaner does an amazing job removing it while deep cleaning the fabric. I also love that it comes with several different attachments, making it easy to tackle everything from large cushions to smaller spots and tight spaces. The accessories are easy to switch out and make the cleaner even more versatile. If you're looking for a portable upholstery cleaner that's powerful, easy to use, and perfect for homes with kids and pets, I highly recommend this one. It's been one of the most useful cleaning tools I've purchased.

Love this shampooer! I love the size of it and how it performs. I like how it’s not too heavy to pack around.it comes with a spot that self cleans your brush which I love. It also has a separate container to put your oxy solution in. It’s easy to take apart to clean out. The suction is amazing, doesn’t leave a lot of water behind and cleans my stuff very well! It also came with extra pieces and carpet solution that I forgot to include in my picture. The pieces are like different brushes and two of them were brushes that held water in them and hair if you are cleaning up animal messes and it goes into that piece which is great! The solution is amazing and made my mattress smell good when I had to clean my animal messes on it when he was sick. This shampooer is durable and pet friendly. I love shark products and will continue to support them because they make great products and never disappoint me. If your looking for a portable shampooer for your car or furniture or carpet this is the one to get.

I have now used this carpet cleaner for 2 months, and I love it! I’m going to lead with: I have 6 dogs, so we have had our fair share of accidents. I have used 3 other portable cleaners and this has been the best one. If you’re going to get this, invest in the ON BOARD SELF CLEANING. Not every model has it, do not make the mistake of ordering the less expensive one that doesn’t have it. My biggest issue with other cleaners has been the smell that you just can’t fully get out of it when there is a pet accident, this one does not have that issue. With the pet mess attachable head, ease of emptying the dirty water, and the onboard cleaning, it’s not nearly as big of a problem. Now that my dogs have all finally grown out of their velociraptor stages and we invested in this, I wish we had had this the entire time. We had our first incident in 90~ days over the weekend and it was a doozie. It’s also 8°F outside so we couldn’t air out the house. The Shark carpet cleaner did not let us down. We had the usual after smell of an indoor walking liquid fecal loosing pup, but it didn’t linger as it has with previous cleaners. I was also able to clean both attachments with ease as well as the rest of the machine. The pet attachment cannot be used on the onboard cleaning(I know, this is my favorite part. And I couldn’t even use it fully for this!) but that’s okay! I understand, the attachment itself has preventative measures to ensure it stays as clean as possible. It does leak a small amount where the pet attachment attaches to the other small attachment(so cool!), and that’s a little annoying wear gloves(you should be anyway!) and wrap a paper towel around as you hold it. You will have to remove it and do a quick clean an annoying amount (depends on mess size) of times when you just want to quickly clean up the atrocities on the carpet. It’s not perfect, but it’s so nice compared to the previous machines I’ve had that I cannot believe this hasn’t been available before. The pet mess attachment is the only attachment that doesn’t work with onboarding. I have used the other ones as well for day to day normal mess, and it’s been soo nice just to turn around, access the self-cleaner, and then put my machine away. No dripping, slightly dirty water, no hair or fuzz stuck in the spaces. Changing off the attachments is very easy. Usually I don’t bother with attachments, but this one makes it so easy to use all of them, I’ve used all 4 options. This is a smaller machine than previous ones, though it’s compact and dense. They have utilized what they do have and I think that makes up for it. So, in this case, size doesn’t matter. If anything changes about my opinion, I will update my review. Happy housecleaning!

BLUF: LOVE PROS: Pet hair catcher Cleaners spot they call it a Self wash The tanks sit flap so you can set them down, you don't have to hold them- FLAT BOTTOMS! or Tops, whatever. CONS: Um, I'll get back to you ... So this is probably the 3rd or 4th one of these devices I've gotten. We have animals, and messes are a part of life. My bestie has the little green one, it was awesome when I was pet sitting and her boy got diarrhea 😞. So I got the step up of from hers, with the heated water tank cause hot water works better>>> And I hated it. It was hard to clean, constantly leaked, and made a bigger mess when dumping the dirty water tank. Literally gave it away. Anyway, I have one in the repair shop, covered under a warranty, but that leaves me without. I have to take a trip for family stuff and am leaving my better-half with the 7 month nervous puppy with tummy issues, 2 other dogs, several indoor outdoor cats, chickens, and it's spring-ish. So there is mud, sap, poop, vomit, and a puppy with a tail that has killed my coffee more times than I can count. I knew I couldn't leave him without something. I took a chance. This came today. I'm packing and prepping and lo and behold, puppy takes out my coffee, again, all over my kitchen chair.. So I sighed, cleaned up the floor, gave him a carrot to distract him and set to assembling and using this. The problem with so many of these, is that pet hair causes so many clogs. And the place where the hose connects to them is like a U-turn so clog, clog, clog. Or the suctions good for a while and then sucks, or doesn't 🙃 This has 2 pet catcher thingies. And although I was using this on a kitchen chair, the cats nap here when I'm not using them, so I decided to er on the side of caution and used the pet hair thing. It's also easy to set up. The water tanks have flat spots so when you flip them over to fill them, I can set them on the floor or counter and it doesn't fall over. I don't have to figure how to hold the damn thing and fill and whatever. Yay! This is a huge win for me. Someone really thought about the design. So I get the chair cleaned. Then I look at the pet hair catcher. Eeeew. But yay again. It was easy to clean. And it has the cleaner thing on it to clean the hose so it doesn't get yucky or smelly. And the little tool, the others just slide over it. Easy. Another thing I like about this is the handle is big enough you can squeeze the trigger, and then move your hand for the back and forth action and not be constantly accidently hitting the sprayer thing. Hate when I make more work for myself. Suction seems good. Won't know until I tackle other stuff or after I've used it a few dozen times. The self wash was easy. I haven't wrapped it up yet. I'm literally so excited. I am sitting here writing this review and not doing dishes or packing as I should be. I think if I find the spoons, I'll get to my man's chair, and maybe my yoga mat so it has a chance to dry before I get back ... My chair is still wet, well damp, not wet, and I won't know if the coffee came out yet for a bit. Let you know. I'll get back to you on the cons of I find them.

For many years I’ve always had the little green machine—pet parents, you know the one I’m talking about. For ages the little green machine was the only thing in existence, I had no other option. I’ve been through a couple little green machines because they get nasty and smelly. They can’t be cleaned due to all the nooks and crannies along with limited accessibility. They are heavy and cumbersome. So when the time came to get another cleaner, I decided to look around and see if something better was available. After much consideration, I went with the Shark Stain Striker HairPro Pet, and the main reason was because the entire thing comes apart and can be cleaned out. I’ve had it for almost a year and so far it’s been great. I wasn’t sure at first about using the yellow rubber nubby textured cleaning head as opposed to a scrubbing brush head, but it actually works so much better than a brush head and it rinses off so easily! Brushes allow hair to become entangled in the bristles and is a pain to clean. So now I’m a fan of the rubber cleaning heads. I love that the entire sprayer head comes apart and I can just rinse it all out, especially the clear window where I can see the cleaning solution getting sucked up. In my little green machine, that window is all clogged with hair and it can’t be cleaned out because it doesn’t come apart. The Shark dirty water tank removes super easy and is so easy to rinse out and there’s no nooks and crannies. The hair catch trap works amazingly well and allows me to throw the hair away instead of it all going down the drain. The solution tank is also easy to fill. I like the compact size, which is easier for me to carry and not as heavy as my former cleaning machine. It does a fantastic job of cleaning. I’ve had to clean up thrown up cat food(both wet and dry) muddy prints, and a huge amount of mustard that was spilled on the carpet, which is white unfortunately(not my choosing, it was there when we bought the house and someday will be replaced with more practical flooring 😊). Overall, this is a well made machine and cleaning up pet messes is a lot easier. WHAT I DON’T LIKE ::: There are some things about Shark Stain Striker that could be improved. The electrical cord REALLY needs to be LONGER! Some messes aren’t conveniently located within reach of an electrical outlet. The hose needs to be removable for cleaning. Even with using the “self cleaning” function, I can still see some bits of hair and debris in the hose, which probably is hung up on the ridges of the hose. I’m concerned that over time the hose might get nasty and grow mildew because it can’t be cleaned as effectively. The instructions have contradictory information that needs cleared up. The solution tank says to NEVER use hot water. The instruction manual says to “never use very hot water, even from the faucet. Never use boiling water. Never use microwaved water. Warm water is okay.” The solution bottle says to USE HOT WATER. Shark is not clear on what water temperature I should be using. Shark also says to only use Shark Deep Clean Pet solution, but then they also say to use ONLY Shark branded solutions (plural). They make it sound like I can only use the Deep Clean Pet solution and they also seem to say any solution is fine as long as it is Shark Branded. I DO NOT LIKE the Deep Clean Pet solution because it smells strongly like BEER. I don’t want my carpets smelling like beer. So now I’ve been using Shark Deep Clean Pro solution, which should still be OK to use because it’s Shark brand, and they even have a picture of a cat and dog on the bottle, so that implies it cleans up pet messes as well. It definitely smells better than the Deep Clean Pet solution.

As a mother of two children and a dog, this thing has really come in handy. I’ve gone through 2–3 small shampooers over the last few years, and no matter how well I maintained them, something always seemed to break. One of them started leaking around a seal, and I couldn’t find a replacement, which ended up ruining the whole shampooer. So I was pretty sad when it was time to get a new one. But BOY, AM I IMPRESSED. The suction on this shampooer is like no other. The attachment tools make it feel like I can tackle just about any job. Between little spills in the car and carpet to a unicorn rocking horse, I’ve used this thing for everything. I’ve shampooed our mattress, my parents’ trailer, and multiple couches, and I’ve even let other people borrow it. This thing is still going strong and feels like it has plenty of life left in it. It feels durable in the areas where the tubes on my other shampooers would normally start wearing out. The self-cleaning mode has also saved me SO much time, especially with our go-go-go family. Whether you’re cleaning a car, toy, carpet, mattress, or couch, I HIGHLY recommend this shampooer. It has easily been one of my favorite cleaning purchases.

I think this might be my first review ever. I typically ignore any requests to rate things, but this little machine deserves a review from me! I got the StainForce a few months ago and I use it every few days as needed. Not only has it gotten out set-in stains that have been in my carpet for over 5 years but it also gets out coffee and blood. My husband has diabetic foot ulcers and sometimes his bandages come off in bed and he walks on the carpet and I wake up with red spots everywhere on my light beige carpet. This machine takes each spot out in literally less than 30 seconds. The solution refills are expensive but magical. When the two solutions mix upon spraying you can see the stains bubbling up and coming out even before I turn it on. I have to be careful and pay close attention to where I spray it so that I know where the machine needs to suck up the grime because it virtually disappears a few seconds after I spray it on. The battery only lasts about 30 minutes or so before I have to recharge it but it recharges in about an hour or two. I have an upright steam cleaner for whole carpeted rooms, but I have to say, this spot cleaner works so much better! My upright Bissel HydroSteam does a good job but isn't comparable to get rid of set-in stains like the Shark StainForce and is much quicker with barely any liquid and a quick drying time. Two thumbs up from me! This is one of my best purchases for all of the cleaning I have to do.

This product comes with an American/Canadian plug attached.....annoying as there is nothing in the blurb which states this. I have now had to purchase a converter and wait another week, for another delivery. Please can sellers give buyers important info like this up front where it can easily be seen.
