I bought this Lexar 1TB Professional Go SSD to use with my iPhone 17 Pro for open gate RAW and 4K ProRes recording after my old SSD oddly was not supported. This one works perfectly. It is very fast, transfers files without any issues, and feels reliable for professional video use. The only small downside for me is that when I use it with the Apple case on my phone, the USB-C connection can come loose more easily. Other than that, I am very happy with this drive.

Pro-Res files get huge. This keeps me shooting on the fly with my 15 Pro without having to worry about onboard storage and running out of space. Perfect size and solution, fixed perfectly to the back via a USB-C U clip and stays out of the way. The Hub is an added plus, and next on my list.

I use this along with the Lexar Hub and it's a game changer for making and storing videos and photos on my iPhone. Videos can go directly to the SSD, saving space on the phone. Coupled with the Lexar hub, it's a very low profile, snug fit to the phone as well.

I take Real Estate videos and I like to shoot them in ProRes 4K this is the key. I've tried many different options and this is the smallest most powerful it just attaches to my iPhone. I hardly know it's there. Makes life easy. Get this one.

I’ve tested almost every solution available to add external storage to my iPhone - MagSafe pucks, mounts, cables, etc. This is the best option I’ve used - small, performant, easy to use, etc. I’m knocking it down by a star because it isn’t the cheapest option and you need to make sure that you have plenty of clearance around the usbc port to allow it to sit flush on the phone.

I bought this to film my friends engagement on my phone during our Japan trip. I dropped said phone and cracked the screen but the reader was still in tact 😭 I like how small it is and how it’ll stay on the phone. It also hasn’t given me any issues with speed or transfers

I use this with an iPhone 16 pro to record pro res footage and it works flawlessly. The phone recognizes it immediately and chooses it to store these files automatically. I’ve recorded pro res continually for over 20 minutes without a pause and experienced no problems. It does get a little warm but nothing to cause concern. The only downside is that you must use the supplied connector to attach it to anything, for some reason the usb c connector on the item is not tight enough to directly connect to a standard usb c port so the supplied connector must be used. Kinda awkward but not a huge hassle. Overall a great storage option.

I ordered this for my IPhone 16pro to use with my phone while videoing duck hunting. The first time using this it didn’t firmly secure into the port on my phone. I thought it had but apparently it didn’t fit properly. It fell out of my phone and into the marshy water and was lost forever! I was disappointed because it was an investment for my phone and didn’t work as expected.

The item is not new and used. With videos of the old owner in it which poses a huge security risk

What makes it special, or ever unique, is that it can sit safely on the side of a laptop computer with relatively little danger of being knocked loose or otherwise damaged. I have the 1TB version. The 2TB version was absurdly expensive.
