I recently picked up the 5th Element Stealth Ice Hockey Skates for some casual skating with my kids and was blown away by how great they felt. As someone who played hockey for years when I was younger, I wanted a skate that would feel familiar without costing a fortune (Bauer, I'm looking at you). These skates delivered everything I hoped for. -Sharpening and Fit- I had the skates sharpened before my first use (a must for any new pair), and they performed flawlessly on the ice. The fit was true to size, providing a snug but comfortable feel that offered great control and support. The padding is just right, firm enough for stability but still good during longer sessions. -On the Ice- I’ve used them for both recreational skating and some pick-up hockey games, and they’ve held up beautifully with the blade not dulling rapidly (a sign of poor quality steel). They offer excellent balance and responsiveness, making turns and stops feel effortless. These were a good option for both performance and affordability. For those starting out and trying to look for cheap(ish) options these are a really nice and comfortable I wear a size 9 and were true to size
