I use a cane after spinal surgery, and even with my slightly weakened back muscles and feet that are a trainwreck, it does me just fine. BUT - I learned a couple of weeks ago that my foot pain especially will now keep me from being able to walk all day at my favorite theme park (Disneyland). I got there midday Sunday and by the time I left was in so much pain that the week ahead looked unsurvivable. I caved and the next day, rented my first ECV from the park. At 67. I had no plans to ever use one; "it will make me look old." Well, to my surprise, the ones they rent are very good, considering that they are rented to idiots like me who have never used one. They're fairly quick, very maneuverable and I was sold. I had researched compact foldable ones when I saw a woman during my June DL trip on one (different maker). 30 minutes into my day, I was on Snap n Go's page at Amazon, reading the reviews. 10 minutes later, I had ordered one to be shipped to my hotel. They were kind enough to say that yes, I could have it sent there. It arrived the next day and when I got back from the park in the evening, it was unboxing time. Warning: the box is big, and may worry you. Don't be worried; it's just packed really well. It arrived almost completely assembled; all I had to do was take it out, open it up (it really does snap into place), install the seat (put it in its spot and add/tighten the knob) and put the battery on. The battery is small but mighty, and locks on with a key. I ordered the sport seat, as I disliked the armrests on the rented one. Impression: the best thing I've bought since I bought my Xterra, lol. I'm 67, have arthritis, a weak back and f*d up feet. I can easily lift the folded scooter into the cargo area of my Xterra. It's EASY to fold: remove the seat, step on the very sturdy pedal at the base of the tiller and presto. The battery life is still undetermined. I rode it all day at DL, 9 or more hours a day, and the light was still green. I did charge the battery every night, as I didn't want to find myself without power. Now that I'm home, I'll take a day to see how long it will go. And I do mean I rode it all over: Disneyland is big, and I went from the north end of DL to the south end of DCA. No problem. The battery is easy to remove and take inside to charge, so if you don't want to bring the whole scooter in, you can still charge it easily. It's very speedy. I kept it on 2 (there are three speed levels) and could nip around slow walkers with no effort. I did put it on 3 a couple of times to go up hills, but 2 will leave most walkers in the dust. The induction brake (letting go of the throttle) is super effective; it will stop on a dime, which is a blessing when people walk right in front of you and stop. The hand brake is very strong, and is useful in a crowd. As I have arthritis that affects hand strength, I did have to use my right hand to set the parking brake (a separate tab on the hand brake), but I don't see this as a flaw. It's very strong, and keeps the scooter from moving when parked. I would prefer a strong brake to one that I can set easily with a weaker hand. The tires are well made; you will feel the bumps from rough pavement (Disney has a lot of cobbled terrain), but it's not uncomfortable at all. The entire scooter feels so solid and well made, it's hard to believe it's light enough for me to lift into my car. I was afraid that I would be uneasy about a three wheeled scooter, but this never felt as if it would tip over; it's very safe. And I tested that! I can't think of one downside to this purchase. One person commented that there's no key lock for the scooter; it can be ridden away with by anyone. Easy fix: the U handle on the back is the perfect place to attach a steel cable bike lock. You can lock it to any pole or fence. Could they make it a keyed unit? Probably. But it would end up being less compact and easy to use. You can indeed find compact scooters for around $600, just as you can find at least one make whose product is about $1200. The more expensive one has plenty of negative reviews about the company, and the cheaper ones are poorer quality. With this scooter, you get a solid, well built product that is super easy to set up and use and top notch customer support. You won't get a better scooter. Edit: I'd like to add a big thumbs up for the customer service. I registered it after my trip, and added a comment about how delighted I am with it. A few days later, the owner, Robert, called me to thank me for the comment and ask for any suggestions about how it could be improved. We had a great conversation, and I was impressed. I've never been contacted by any company about their product, much less the owner. And unlike many people, he listened to what I had to say. I will repeat: you will be happy with your purchase. Second edit: I took it to the Phoenix Zoo for the Zoolights. So. Many. Hills. And my scooter simply laughed at them. I never felt as if I wouldn't make it up a long hill. The difference is clear; while their park rentals are well made and durable, they are heavy and very slow. While I never recommend flying through a crowded theme park, it's good to have the power to move quickly when necessary. I was also there in May for a week. On one day, after going from park to park and staying for nighttime entertainment, the battery started blinking on the green indicator a little when I got back to my car. That was a day when I got there before 8 am and left at 11 pm. The battery is AMAZING. And as tired as I was on both trips, I can still get it into my SUV.

After my old Scout mobility scooter failed, I decided it was time for an upgrade. I scoured the internet for a better option and settled on the Snap N Go. The Snap N Go is simple yet highly effective, weighing only 31 pounds its remarkably light compared to other models. Folding and storing the Snap N Go is a breeze—just click the latch, fold it, and attach the seat and post. There are a few minor quirks. The front-wheel-drive cart responds more slowly on the lowest acceleration setting, so I sometimes switch to setting 2 for uneven terrain. Setting 3 is fast but takes a moment to engage. The lack of an under-seat basket is a slight drawback, but the sturdy, deep front basket more than compensates. The lightweight seat and column are easy to remove and stow, and the cart’s maneuverability is excellent. I can navigate tight corners and crowded lines with ease. Its ease of use have made my outings more enjoyable. I’ve tested the Snap N Go in various environments, from slightly hard-packed gravel in parks to slightly uneven rocky areas. I've driven it over very closely cropped grass and did fine. Anything deeper would be a challenge. The battery itself is a standout: lightweight, easy to slide out with a key, and equipped with a convenient handle. Its remarkably light! Unlike older models that made noise when accelerating, the latest Snap N Go is whisper-quiet and zippy on level ground. Folding is straightforward, though lifting and stowing takes a bit of practice (pro tip: turn off the brake and let the wheels freewheel). I took the cart on a five-hour zoo trip with no issues. I was powering up moderate inclines and automatically engaging brakes for controlled descents. The hand brake adds extra safety. The following day, I used it to run my dog in the park, and after hours of use, the battery had only dropped one bar. An impressive performance! Compared to the Scout, the Snap N Go is a clear winner. For someone like me at 165 pounds, it’s reliable, easy to stow, and a joy to use. It’s transformed my mobility, making life easier and more fun. I highly recommend it! Update after close to one year: The Snap N GO is still running strong and I use it every day to run my dog. I took off the sport seat and replaced it with a fat bike seat. I purchased a 6 inch bike stem from Amazon that is 25.4mm in circumference and it fits the post perfectly. I put the seat on the stem and tightened it down and it works great. Its like riding a bike! I usually have the Snap N Go in my truck bed. I roll it towards my self, unlatch the hinge and put the post in. I place it on the ground and put the bike seat in and put the basket on the front. Its super easy and I do it in less than a minute. Because the bike seat is light it drops the weight down further and the battery lasts longer. When I'm done, I just reverse it and stow the bike seat in the other slot on the frame. Best mobility scooter I ever had.

I LOVE THIS THING! I’ve only had it for 2 weeks, but it’s given me my mobility and freedom back! In June 2025 I had an acute and severe onset of what was eventually diagnosed as POTS and idiopathic small fiber neuropathy. I was hospitalized for 2 weeks and basically lost my ability to be upright or function as I used to. I used to run half marathons and now I can barely walk 2 blocks with a cane. Since getting this scooter, I can scoot all around my neighborhood and my city. My longest ride so far has been 9 miles over 4 hours and I still had battery life left. I live in a 3rd floor walk up and I’m able to take the chair upstairs in one trip, the battery and basket (purchased separately) in another, and finally the frame in a third trip. My partner however can carry the whole thing bundled up in one trip. I also cannot drive anymore and rely on autonomous vehicles aka Waymo’s to get around. This fits perfectly in the trunk of a Waymo and allows me to roam around my city again. I researched mobility scooters for weeks before landing on this one and I highly recommend! Very nice scooter easy to use, great customer service and support from SnapnGo. Purchased two scooters for a 57th wedding anniversary gift for my parents to take on a family cruise vacation and use at home. They love them. Used at the airports, cruise ship, and ports of call where a lot of walking was required. Solid build quality from nice materials would recommend. Many complements from other passengers on the ship and in the airport.

The SNAPnGO Scooter gives me the confidence and ability to go wherever I want without requiring someone to assist me. The SNAPnGO is compact, light weight and so easy to manage. No need for assistance in the airports, hotels or cruise ships. I can navigate huge malls and outdoor spaces as well. The small size and comfort of it was a plus for me.

We got this for my dad who has major back pain. He cannot stand or walk for long periods of time. It was light enough for him to take out of the box and put together all by himself. It has a horn, a headlight, forward and reverse. He let me try it out last night. The chair is super comfortable, and the throttle is easy to control. This little chair has some power, it can go pretty fast at full speed. What a great product for the cost.

I am still young, but I had foot surgery & couldn't walk far or fast or without limping. And with Festivals, City Fairs, outlets & Places like Silver Dollar City to go to, I definitely needed a scooter. I chose this Snap 'n Go because it's not too heavy & it folds nicely enough to fit in my small SUV's trunk without having to lower the seats. I love it sooo much I don't want to walk anymore LOL. I highly recommend it!
