Excellent pen, especially for the price! I have been a fountain pen fan for 40 plus years and I ordered this one to try out. I want to get a couple of pens for Christmas gifts for coworkers. I wanted a pen that looked good, felt good, and (of course) wrote nicely without skipping or scratching. I’ve always used a converter in the past but I wanted something that could use cartridges or a converter, and I didn’t want proprietary (expensive) cartridges. Converters could be more trouble and potentially messier than my potential recipients might be ready for, so cartridges needed to be an option. I ordered the Ellington pen and I was immediately impressed with the attractive packaging, a factor to consider in a gift. I opened it up and it’s a very nice looking pen, has a nice fit and finish. It comes with a converter and three cartridges. I installed a black ink cartridge and grabbed a piece of paper to try it out. Ink flowed as soon as the nib touched the paper. The nib glides across the paper, no scratching or skipping. It’s a beautiful pen, well made and well balanced. I will be ordering two more for Christmas gifts but this one I am keeping for myself.

This was my first Ellington Pen and my first ever fountain pen. I love the weight of the pen - it feels luxurious to hold. It is a gorgeous and writes well. I have zero complaints and would order from this company again.

I've just started getting into fountain pens and I am really satisfied with the quality of this pen. The cap has a good weight that helps when I keep it on the back of the pen. I got the EF nib. The ink flows well but the lines are still fine and dark. Took a couple of days until I could get the angle right, but now my writing looks and feels very satisfying. Highly recommend for new fountain pen users like me.

There are tools you use, and then there are tools that remind you who you used to be. The Ellington Fountain Pen with an extra fine tip did exactly that for me. I really love the way the pen feels both in my hand and gliding on the paper. But there is an issue with ink flow for some reason. It’s inconsistent and difficult to get started at times. I’m having to apply way more pressure than I have with any other fountain pen that I have. I got the extra fine tip, so maybe that’s the issue. But when I get the ink flowing, it really is a wonderful pin and would get five stars if not for the ink flow issue

This could just be the pen I purchased, however whenever the pen was closed with the cap on, the tip of the pen would press against the cap causing ink to leak out and get all over my hands, the pen quality is nice and the writing is even nicer, however due to this issue the ink leaks all over my hands whenever I open it. For this reason I will only give it 2 stars.

Beautiful. Writes very smooth. Like the push cartridge. Haven't used it yet, but know how now. Is a real Fine nib. Still is medium looking when cartridge is new, but gets thinner. Is showy. I got white. Very attractive. It's not your regular pen.

This pen feels pretty good, no weight to it but not light for a smooth even writing. Only reason I am not giving it a 5 is because I got the extra fine nib, yet it looks bolder than my fine nib. I’ve tried the cartridge it came with but also a high quality ink I use in my other pens, and both give a fine to medium feel rather than extra fine. Only way to make it extra fine is to hold it upside down.

J'aime beaucoup ce stylo, l'écrite est fluide même après plusieurs jours sans m'en servir, il ne "gratte" pas le papier. La couleur est jolie.

Plume très jolie, elle ecrit très bien, mais… elle ne reste pas fermée! Le capuchon ne clique pas bien sur la plume. Il n’arrête pas de se déclipper et l’encre sèche, alors je ne peux pas utiliser ma plume. Je dois la passer sous l’eau pour pouvoir l’utiliser de nouveau. Mais ce n’est pas pratique! Je n’ai pas toujours un robinet à côté de moi! Je veux pouvoir utiliser ma plume n’importe quand. Et j’ai toujours peur de perdre le capuchon de ma plume! La plume a l’air de bonne qualité, mais elle ne l’est pas. Et c’est très décevant. Pourtant, elle écrit bien, la pointe glisse bien sur le papier. Je n’aurais pas acheté cette plume si j’avais su que ce problème survenait. Quand le capuchon est sur la plume, on sent qu’il ballotte, il ne tient pas bien… De plus la cartouche d’encre à l’intérieur coule! Je me retrouve avec les doigts tout tachés. J’ai acheté deux plumes, et j’ai des problèmes avec les deux plumes, mon conjoint a acheté une plume, sa plume coule aussi. Aussi, à noter : j’ai acheté une plume de extrafine qui est plus large que la plume fine que j’ai achetée. C’est à n’y rien comprendre. J’ai essayé de communiquer très poliment avec le service à la clientèle d’Ellington, on ne m’a jamais répondu. Tenez-vous loin de ces plumes, vous jetez votre argent par les fenêtres.

This is a great pen to write with though I did find the tiny cartridges that are supplied with it too small, but purchasing a bottle of ink did the trick.

A very classy looking pen and has a great feel to it, it writes as good as it looks! I can not wait to use it daily.

Il ne fonctionne plus, je ne peux pas le retourner mais c’est désolant de voir à quel point la qualité n’est pas au rendez-vous. Il n’y a rien qui obstrue le débit, le crayon n’a pas subi de coup, je ne l’ai jamais échappé ou fait de mauvaise utilisation pourtant et même après un entretien normal, un nettoyage de la buse. Il est disposé pour les rebuts.
