Review: Great for kids - Kids loved them
Review: It grows fast, but….. - It produces a good result as advertised and grows quickly which is great for impatient kiddies. It starts growing within 30 minutes and is almost fully grown after a few hours. The downside is the growth is extremely fragile and a lot of the growth falls off on its own without touching it (photo). If you touch the trees or knock them even slightly, a lot of the “cauliflower” growth falls off so not great for kids who expect to be able to handle and examine them often they’re grown. Update: The vendor reached out to us and gave a full refund because we were disappointed with this product which pleasantly surprised us. We have bought several other National Geographic kits in the past and have been very pleased with them. This was the only one that was a little disappointing.

**Q: How long does it last if not touched?**
A: The crystals are a powder crystal that do dry more and more as time goes on.  I have seen them begin to flake off within days or remain in place for months, I am not sure if the amount of solution used makes the difference.  If they flake off, you can gather them in the tray and sprinkle water on them to watch them grow again!
