JW Speaker 8700-Evo2-S 12/24V Dual Burn Headlight with Mounting Ring - Black,0554981

Absolutely love the light. The adaptive tilt/turn and dual hi/low functions are very useful, and JW leads the pack with a best in class design. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the fit, function and performance, but I’m still having issues with proper installation.My light didn’t come with directions, but JW Speaker’s website has a thorough tech support page with a number of videos. Unfortunately they aren’t titled well or specific enough to what I’d think would be standard applications. I own a 2012 HD FLHX, and the fairing with a single 7” LED should be straight forward. The closest installation video I found was for a 2013 Road King. That model doesn’t have a fairing, but the assembly looked similar.I installed the new adjustable headlight bracket and then spent several hours playing around with internal and external light rings. The outer ring only has one screw centered at the bottom of the light. The spring from the top center wasn’t mentioned, but it’s critical in achieving a proper fit. The JWS installer didn’t mention it, but I’m sure it’s what’s causing the headlight assembly to come lose on the road.A local HD dealership parts employee has the same light installed on his FLH bagger, and he complained about having the same issues with installation. He talked me through what was a fairly simple solution that should’ve been included in a one page installation sheet for the new mourning bracket.I This is the best light I’ve had on any bike, but I but I wish the maker would’ve taken more time to include model specific directions.
