Inaccurate description of metal base
Product description says mannequin is held up by a metal base. It is not true. It is about a 2 inch round plug that fits into a metal bar and that is all that holds up this mannequin. I returned it because of its inaccurate description.

Took a chance and, fortunately, it worked out!
I looked at A LOT of options across Amazon for some sort of body form or mannequin to display clothes that I sell online for my small business. In the end, this is the one I chose, though I knew I was taking a risk, given that there was only 1 review for the item at the time. Hopefully my review can help some others. I apologize for the length, but I wanted to be thorough. From what I saw, my options that would allow me to display tops and bottoms were: a hanging plastic torso with no back portion, a "soft body" torso on a stand (most commonly used and seen), a full body mannequin, and even a blow up body form (no, thank you!).I did not care for the half (front only) hanging torsos, because all that pinning/clipping and trying to keep clothes on it seemed like a headache, and it doesn't give you a true option for displaying an intricate back design of a top or any of the back in a "form."That left me with the soft body torso on a stand and a full body mannequin. While I liked the soft body torsos a lot, it wasn't long before I recognized logistical issues, unless I wanted to spend significantly more money than I felt comfortable. With these torsos, most of them come on a stand that them has 3 feet at the bottom for "stability." However, from my reading countless reviews, these stands were relatively unstable and many people experienced issues with getting them to not easily tip over. You can find them with a platform that solves this issue, however, that quickly sent the price upwards. The next problem I found was that most of these torsos seem to have the stand for the pole attached in the middle bottom of the torso. This would create problems with any types of pants I would want to display. Of course, once again, you can find torsos that solve this problem and the pole extends from the bottom of one side of the torso instead of the center (thankfully, these also seem to come with a platform footer, so at least you'd be solving both the issues mentioned here at once). And, likewise, once again, this also increased the price considerably. That leaves us with a full body mannequin, of which there are maybe 2 other Prime listings (watch those non-Prime listings because the shipping cost and time is absurd) for a full body mannequin in this price range. To be honest, I initially had little interest in getting an actual mannequin when I started out looking for something. I wanted a "torso on a stick" (haha), like everyone else seemed to have, but as I weighed my pros and cons of my options and considered my budget, this was the only sensible choice to make (by my reasoning). In fact, I knew there would be some additional benefits that having a full body form would bring with it (better sleeve display, option to display accessories as well, better overall impression of what the item looks like worn for customers, etc.).Still, I worried about making this purchase with so few reviews to really have a sense of what I was buying. Yet, I knew that I really didn't care for my mannequin to have some weird "trying to be human" face (eyes, makeup, etc.) and there were enough negative reviews on a similar listing to make me worry about choosing that one. So, I agonized for a few days over this and kept going back to search results, hoping for something new that would make my choice clear and easy. Then, because I had to make a decision before Xmas (my husband was getting it for me as a gift), I took a deep breath and went ahead with this one. Now, is this item "perfect?" No. However, I think that in order to be fair, the price point has to be considered. At this price point, you're not getting the high end item, that's just reality. Still, given the price point, the item I received was better than I had initially expected. First off, although this was a Prime item, shipping seemed to take much longer than most Prime items, so be aware of that (don't buy this 2 days before you need it or you will be disappointed). That said, it also did not take it forever to get here. I think it was just over a week or so. Next, know that this item is made from molded plastic parts that fit together at various points for easily disassembling and dressing, etc. You will find a little "nib" (I would hesitate to call them sharp, but some might describe them as such) here and there that may catch and snag delicate fabrics. A simple piece of sandpaper solves that with little effort. You will also see where the front and back portion of the body parts are glued together to make a 3-D form. You're not going to notice those in photos or when clothes are on, so who cares. The worst part of this mannequin for me was the head/face. To me, it looks like an alien. So, OFF WTH HER HEAD! 😂 Problem solved (and it photographs/looks just fine). I am also "meh" on her hands and pose. It's a bit odd, but let's be honest, what mannequin is ever in a natural pose? It's a moot point and you can choose to leave each or both of those off as well. She is also freakishly tall (at 5'1", my ribs are in line with her hips 😂), but welcome to the fashion world, as if I should be surprised by that!Personal gripes and "what do you expect"s aside, I am pleased with her. She comes with a metal platform and instructions for use. All parts were included and were free from reasonable, overt defects. She doesn't need her head to be functional (and some of you may like her "unique"...alien...look) and all parts are easy to put together/leave off to your liking once you get the hang of what you're doing. She is lightweight and easy to move around/place. Most importantly, she photographs and displays my items well and I couldn't be happier with my choice.Overall, I'd say, be reasonable, with the price point in mind and I think you will be very happy with this selection. Of course, this is my personal opinion and experience, and your own perspective may differ from mine. I'd still recommend giving it a chance, taking into consideration all the things I mentioned above. Hope that helps!
