Great grinder!
Just used it to grind my own pork sausage! This item worked great, was simple to clean, and we are going to get much use out of it. At leastour ground food will be safe. We will know what went into the ground meat!

Game Changer
I love this food grinder attachment. There are a lot of options out there but for the money this one seems like a great value. Its small but is very powerful. It has no problem grinding larger strips of meat. I mainly use it to grind my trimmings from my large primal cuts of meat. I havent used the sausage or meatball attachments yet but they seem to be high quality like the rest of the grinder is.

Pretty nice.
Nice product. It's heavy and works fantastic and can grind as fast as I can go. Not happy with the finish as it came blemished.

Super Accessory for KitchenAid owners
finally bought this bugger after an extended delay out of sheer necessity due to ever-increasing food prices (especially meats) - bummed we waited so long. this particular unit is fantastic; we've used it quite often since purchasing about a month ago & so far, so great! Likes: - sturdy, stainless steel, built like a tank, takes whatever you put in it w/ no issue(s) - clean up isn't too terribly bad either (5-6 parts n' pieces to clean w/ hot, sudsy water) - multiple inserts of various sizes to customize the grind size Dislikes: - not that much really - the plunger tool is a bit cheap (plastic) but it does the job Conclusions: for the price, it can't be beat (IMO) & having it WILL (eventually) save you $$$ & basically pay for itself in short order. thus far, we've ground about 4 different cuts of beef, every bit of whole chickens, a variety of pork cuts, veal, venison & a whole turkey. once you try it, it's kinda' fun & addictive. wife has her Food Saver unit plugged in, handy & ready to go! we stocked up our small deep freeze about 1/2 full of ground, vacuum-sealed meats in about an hour and a half (from start to final cleanup) one Saturday after a trip to Costco & our local butcher shop. am not certain but would hazard a guess that this grinder has already paid for itself b/c we can 'buy in bulk', cut stuff up, then put it through the grinder and Wah-Lah... instant ground meats just like you'd buy prepackaged from your local grocer/ market! i'd highly recommend this product if you own a KitchenAid & were on the fence; totally worth the investment - at least for us. one small tip/ caveat: make sure your meats are almost FROZEN before you grind. room temp. meats or even refrigerated meats will be a MAJOR pain in the arse (we discovered). so, make sure whatever you're going to grind up is pretty darned COLD-to-slightly FROZEN! your results will be MUCH better & the mechanism will perform more efficiently too!

Product looks and feels professional grade, but it is poorly designed and failed during 2nd use
UPDATED REVIEW. SEE FURTHER DOWN. I could post a similar picture as the many that are already included in these reviews where the square post that the cutting blade mounts to has stripped out and no longer stays attached to the auger. I bought this about a year and a half ago and was VERY pleased with the weight and quality of the components. Upon first use, I noticed it worked OK, but not great primarily because the blade does not sit tight against the plate with the holes in it. As such, sinew, tendons, etc. within the meat would not be sliced off and they would collect against the back side of the plate stopping the whole grinding process. The only way to fix it was to clean all this JUNK meat out of the space between the blade and plate, then start again. Upon the second use, the square post that the cutting blade mounts to stripped out of the auger and the unit is now useless. I never removed this post from the auger. This is just a poorly designed weak link in what otherwise could be a decent grinder. When I bought this, there were plenty of reviews touting that the manufacturer had fixed this problem with a more robust post, and I thought I was getting an improved model. Sadly, no, I spent a whole lot of money for this thing and, after two uses it is no longer fuctional. UPDATE: Gvode left a comment (below) to contact them, which I did. I sent them pictures as well as my review and they sent me a new auger for my grinder. I was very pleased. I noticed an improved seal on the rear of the auger and I noticed they had welded the square post onto it. I also noticed the square portion of the post was shorter, which would allow the grinding plate to sit closer to the blade. Three relevant, necessary improvements! When I tried it in the assembly, I heard an awful grinding noise and the thing was rocking back and forth on the mixer. Upon inspection, it had shredded the retaining ring for the seal, leaving lots of metal shavings behind the seal and I determined the shaft was bent, which was causing the rocking. I explained this to them and sent pictures and they determined the new auger was not compatible with the old grinder assembly, so they sent me a brand new meat grinder assembly. I was very pleased. I tested it and it was nice and smooth and there was no rocking. I did get a small amount of metal shavings on the mixer side of the seal, but I determined most of this was from the plating coming off of the retaining ring for the seal. I ran it without the retaining ring and noticed a very small amount of wear on the auger shaft on the mixer side of the seal and a very small amount of metal shavings. I sent this information to Gvode with some recommendations on how to fix it and hopefully they will continue with their product improvements. I think the grinder could be used as is because the small metal shavings I am seeing are on the mixer side of the seal, but it sure would be nice to have a meat grinder that did not have any metal shavings... Bottom line, I think the product is vastly improved from the one I bought in 2018, but still needs some work. I have found Gvode's customer service to be outstanding and will post a comment about that in their vendor ratings as well.

Super Teil. Bestätigt auch die beste Ehefrau von allen.

Worked Great
I bought this over a year ago but only used it for the first time yesterday to make ground venison. It is a nicely-machined unit, was easy to use and the end product was great. I have not yet tried making sausage. It's important to have your meat and fat partially frozen for the best results. Run a couple pieces of stale bread through the machine to get all the meat out. I started with the largest die for a course grind, then put the end product back in the freezer while I cleaned the unit and switched to the medium die. This created a perfect grind for wrapping and freezing. I believe the blades will need to be sharpened before each use, like you would with a good knife, for optimum performance.

ble, tout passe au lave vaisselle
Ravie de mon choix ! Il est tout en acier inoxydable, tout passe au lave vaisselle, ce n'est pas le cas de beaucoup d'autres. Plus cher en prix, mais c'est la qualité.

Solid for what you get
This grinder was a bit more expensive than the alternatives but the key factor for me was that this is stainless steel and is dishwasher safe. A lot of the cheaper alternatives were plastic so I worried more about the longevity as well as it's ability to hold up in the dishwasher. This is our first Kitchenaid mixer attachment even though we've had the mixer itself for a while. So while I have nothing to compare it to, I'm very happy with the usability and we've used it to make burgers which were excellent. It is a bit bulky so it does take up a bit of drawer space, but you can disassemble it to save a bit of room.
