This item works very good but unfortunately it needs its own power supply it comes with usb to usb c charger in the box with a extra magnet It definitely gets very cold and helps keep a phone from overheating I updated this because I didn’t understand the product but now I get it

They're worth the money, they're quiet and the back plate is always very cold. I would only like more than one magnetic sticker included but thats neither here nor there on functionality.

Great item if you’ve got a charging cable
Very neat item and very effective. My only complaint if you can call it that, is that I believed when ordering it, again perhaps my confusion, that it ran off the magnetic charge but it requires its own cord while using which can be a bit fiddly. But it works very well to keep the phone cool even in warm, direct sun.

Good performance, slim profile, entry level
UPDATE: Fan started surging and now the unit no longer gets cold. Worked great until it didn’t. Returned. Look. If you are reading this, you are probably suffering with an alarmingly hot phone/tablet running very slowly and looking for a potential solution. I’ve been looking into these products for a while now, so my review will be pretty hefty. HOWEVER for those with short attention spans: TLDR; very compact, pretty quiet, gets cold quickly and helps cool my phone effectively. Can be paired perfectly with the Hagibis SSD attachment 👀 . It does get a bit tricky to hold your phone once installed, you can feel the heat from the fan if your fingers are close and the only way to know which setting it’s on is to put your ear to the fan and cycle the button. Can produce condensation, and requires specific application to maximise performance. Edit/Update: I attached the included magnetic sticky patch to the back of my ESR wireless charger puck (also made of metal) - now I have a chilled wireless charger - WORKS A TREAT 🤌 Proper analysis: I would consider this cooler entry level. I use it to take the edge off, in terms of heat, for tasks that are extremely energy intensive on my iPhone such as: 1. Gaming 2. Video editing 3. Extended filming / using ProRes 4. Large downloads/uploads 5. System updates 6. All of the above when also charging On my aging iPhone 13 Pro Max, this frequently causes thermal management issues such as: 1. Uncommanded screen dimming 2. Significant performance loss 3. Stuttering and lag just in IOS itself 4. Frame drops whilst gaming/editing 5. Significant heat 6. Battery drain 7. All of the above when also charging So what is this device and what does it do? Well it’s a Peltier cooler, also known as a ‘thermo electric cooler’ or a ‘TEC’. I couldn’t see this explicitly stated anywhere in the listing or description but rest assured, this is a real, proper, cooler, not just a fan (like some listings on Amazon). So TEC’s work via creating a temperature difference by passing an electric current through two dissimilar semiconductor materials, which causes heat to be absorbed at one side and released at the other: Cold side to phone -> hot side to heatsink -> fan to dispel heat from the heatsink. The cooler in the Hagibis is stated as 10W*. The cooler plate attaches to the back of the phone/tablet chassis, which is typically used by OEMs as a giant heatsink or as a method of heat dissipation. When the TEC is turned on, what we are doing with this cooler is effectively creating a slightly greater delta between HOT & COLD. In theory, this should mean heat is transferred from the chassis of the phone slightly faster, which should help keep the phone slightly cooler overall, allowing sustained high performance. Sounds perfect right! Well no. Not quite unfortunately. It’s not magic. It’s not going to ‘turbocharge’ your device. You see TEC’s are notoriously inefficient - and with just ‘10W’, the useable cooling ability is significantly less than that, at best case! The majority of that 10W draw is wasted as heat. This is why they need either a decent portable battery or a mains outlet to run. It is extremely unlikely that the built in port on your phone can deliver the power needed to run this, and if it can, expect it to absolutely HAMMER your battery life! You won’t need to worry about your phone overheating 🤣 This is also the reason you very, very, very rarely (if ever!) see peltier coolers for CPU or GPUs. They just aren’t very efficient, and in some cases…make things worse. On that topic, stating ‘10W of cooling’ is also somewhat of a misnomer 🤔 whilst it might be true the TEC / Peltier may be drawing 10W of electricity, it is NOT able to cool ‘10W’. In fact when I tested with my special cable, I was surprised by the results: 1. Low - 6.6W 2. Mid - 6.9W 3. Max - 7.2W The difference of 0.3W per step is quite interesting and also telling - this means the TEC itself runs at a fixed rate, the difference between Wattage is simply the power required to spin the fan faster. Faster the fan spins, the more heat it can expel. But for the record, this cooler DOESNT draw 10W. This isn’t necessarily terrible though, phone SoC’s are designed from the ground up to be efficient and draw minimal energy most of the time, and when they go full throttle, it’s typically for short bursts. Most of the time, the phone will complete the resource intensive task before the device can suffer ‘heat soak’ and thermal management kicks in to reduce temps (screen dimming, clocks decrease etc). Sometimes it can’t - which is why you are likely reading this! ***What this device will do, when properly installed, is attempt to stall thermal management from taking place. Your device should likely be able to operate at peak performance and potentially sustain it for longer.*** Testing: After 3 minutes at an ambient temperature of 24.5 degrees Celsius - my infrared thermometer showed: Coldest: 8 degrees Celsius Warmest: 12.0 degrees Celsius That isn’t bad considering it’s pulling less than 8W. If I left it longer, maybe it would go even lower - but I got bored 😴 Reality: *Firstly, because this isn’t a hugely powerful TEC to start with, I wouldn’t bother running it on setting 1 or 2 - go straight to 3. The difference in draw between all 3 settings is pretty much negligible anyway and you’ll want all the power you can get. On a portable battery, you are likely talking about just seconds or a minute in difference in run time (depending on the capacity of course) On mains, doesn’t matter. If the fan bothers you, turn the volume up or put earphones in. If it’s interfering with your filming, buy a Bluetooth mic. In a quiet room you’ll notice it, but out in the wild I don’t think you can hear it. Secondly, physical contact is absolutely critical. It needs to be perfectly flush, straight on the back of the phone - no case. Ideally as close, if not directly over the SoC or over the dedicated heatsink (if it has one - like a Vapor chamber etc) If you have stickers on the back of the phone, take them off. Any minute gaps, will allow slow the transfer of heat or even let condensation form, doesn’t help and can potentially damage electronics. A correctly contacted TEC will outperform a poorly contacted more powerful TEC. Things I don’t like… It would have been nice to include a colour coded LED or a 3 step LED so I can see what level it is on. You have to hold it close to your ear and press the button to determine which level it is on which isn’t ideal but certainly not a deal breaker. Make sure you have a portable battery or mains outlet than can deliver AT LEAST 10W. PC or Laptops usb ports often can’t output more than 5W! So for streamers out there and other purchasers wondering why it isn’t working, make sure you have a decent charger and cable. Overall it works well. I usually install it a few minutes before going HAM to try and cold soak the internals but even then, I’ll occasionally notice the screen warm and brightness dim (granted it’s happening less than 5% of when it used too and it’s only when the phone is charging at the same time!) And now it’s usually just for a few seconds before recovering! So it definitely helps but it’s just not a TOTAL cure. It’s highly portable, chills decently, it’s half the price of a ‘Shark’ cooler and draws quite a modest amount of power. And you have the potential to synergise with the Hagibis SSD addon if needed down the line (this is quite a compelling upgrade for power users - who will likely be looking at this cooler) I’m pleased and I’d recommend it as an entry, low key cooler - try this first. It’s a good trade between performance and energy draw. If you are really pushing your device - like a hardcore gamer pushing MAX fps & graphical fidelity for hours at a time, don’t bother with this and go straight to a Shark Cooler or Red Magic Cooler. Those TEC’s are vastly more powerful (roughly 3x more) But it will come at the expense of size & energy draw (you’ll need a charger or battery that can push 45W+ USB C)

Magnetic sticker didn't stick
Device is pretty good, but the magnetic sticker just... doesn't stick. It also only comes with a USB-A to USB-C wire, while most phones only have USB-C (and my tablet also only has USB-C), meaning that you'll need to buy your own USB-C to USB-C cable separately.

Il salvavita definitivo per lo smartphone in estate!
Ho acquistato questo dispositivo di raffreddamento circa un anno fa e, dopo averlo messo alla prova in ogni condizione possibile, posso dire senza ombra di dubbio che è uno dei migliori accessori mai presi per il mio telefono. Abito in zone dove l'estate non perdona e chiunque usi molto lo smartphone sa quanto il caldo sia il nemico numero uno delle prestazioni e della batteria. Ecco com'è andata dopo 12 mesi di utilizzo intenso: Prestazioni sotto il sole cocente: L'ho testato nelle situazioni più estreme: in spiaggia sotto il sole diretto, in auto durante i viaggi più lunghi e mentre giocavo a titoli pesanti con temperature ambientali altissime. Risultato? Il telefono è sempre rimasto fresco, zero surriscaldamenti e nessun calo di prestazioni (niente più fastidiosi lag o luminosità dello schermo che si abbassa da sola). Aggancio magnetico perfetto: La connessione magnetica è comodissima e stabilissima. È compatibile con la stragrande maggioranza dei telefoni di ultima generazione e si aggancia in un secondo, senza dover combaciare con alette a molla che spesso coprono i tasti laterali. Alimentazione USB-C: La porta USB-C è ormai lo standard, quindi posso alimentarlo con lo stesso cavo del telefono, collegandolo direttamente a un powerbank o al caricatore dell'auto.

ペルチェ素子とは明記されていないと思いますが、AIに確認するとペルチェ素子を使用しているようで実際すごく冷えます。 良いところは設置面全体が冷えることでメタルリングを通してスマホに温度が伝わることでしょうか。 中心部しか冷えない装置だとリングの中心の空間だけを冷やしてしまい効果が激減します。 また、静音性にも優れており3段階のうち一番弱くするとほぼ無音です。 あとはやはり派手で無いこと。 黒一色で余分な発光が一切ありません。 薄いのも良い。 【追記】 一ヶ月経たずに異音を発し始め、ファンが回らなくなりました。 ギリギリ返品できて良かった… ただ、ブラックが売り切れていて代替品を購入できなーい。

Ça fait le job
Léger, refroidit vite, 3 vitesses. Conception propre, peu bruyant Je voulais un modèle sans toute les lumière. Dommage que ça ait besoin d'être branché pour fonctionner. j'ai mis la plaque aimant entre le téléphone et la coque, donc le ventilo tient bof, je trouvais ça moche de coller l'aimant par-dessus la coque et ca rendait la coque non lavable (ce que je fais régulièrement) du coup faut aider à le tenir pendant utilisation
