I've been using this kettle for about 6 months and it works perfectly! I love everything about it. It holds plenty of water, boils quickly, and looks great. It turns itself off without fail and has lovely blue lighting that illuminates the pot as it boils. I'm very happy that I bought it.

Great value and a lovely colorful addition to my kitchen! Love the led lighting inside it. At 1100 watts it boils quickly and the added feature of the auto shut off is a 'peace of mind' feature. I don't see it lasting forever, but I'm really pleased with its performance.

I bought this electric kettle because our old one spontaneously died and this was the only model I could find that fulfilled my requirements for a new one: a concealed heating element, automatic shut-off, and a mouth wide enough for me to reach inside with my hand for scrubbing.Beyond that, it's a nice looking counter appliance. It's neat being able to watch the water boil through the glass, and the blue LED indicators are a nice touch. It gives it a friendly, futuristic feel. It boils nice and quickly, too.The only con, and this is minor, is that the black Ovente logo smudges and smears if you touch it or wipe it down while the unit is still warm. It makes for an ugly spot on what is otherwise an attractive piece.Also note: The "max" line is for real. If you fill it even a little bit beyond that line, it will spill onto the counter when it boils.UPDATE: After a few months of ownership and daily use, I have another "con" I need to list; once it has boiled once, it will not turn on again for several minutes, presumably because its thermostat thinks it is still at boiling temperature. I find this unfortunate, and my previous kettles with automatic shut-offs did not exhibit this behavior.Use case: When I want to make a pitcher of hot tea, my tea pitcher is a half gallon. This thing only holds 1.5L, which is just over 3 quarts. With previous electric kettles, I used to be able to boil a full pot, start the tea steeping, and then quickly boil another quart to top it off while the infusion was still taking place. With this new kettle, that is no longer possible, as it takes several minutes for the kettle to become usable a second time, and by then it is too late.While disappointing, this use case failure is not going to be a deal-breaker for everyone. One wonders, though, why this thermostat detects so much residual heat after a boil, even after cold water has been poured in, so as to prevent consecutive boils. Perhaps they could get the design team to correct this in future revisions.UPDATE 2:This just died today, 12/20/2016. It was purchased in April 2015. So it only lasted a disappointing ~20 months of daily use.I guess the next pertinent question is, "Knowing this, would you lease an electric kettle for ~$10 per year?".I suppose I would, but, really there is no excuse for these things not lasting longer. They aren't like brake pads, which, by design, get progressively worn out as part of their normal use; Electric appliances should not need to be so frequently replaced.Unfortunately, all electric kettles seem to be rife with reviews that tell of early failure. So, perhaps this is one of those "they don't make things like they used to" rants. Obviously I need a way to boil water. Microwaving is out of the question, and a traditional stovetop kettle would use more electricity and boils more slowly. So... I either buy another one of these, or play roulette with another brand. Such is 21st century consumerism.

Works great, I love the blue light while it's heating up. Takes about 6 minutes to boil 3 1/2 L of water. I was using My k-cup for hot water to make iced tea and I'd have to stand there and keep filling it up and adding tea bags, which made me a little cuckoo. So I decided to get this kettle and I love it - I can make eight cups of iced tea at one time - it's a miracle!Plus if you need hot boiling water for anything else if I'm making pasta or whatever I start the water in the kettle and then dump it in the pot it heats up much quicker than trying to boil water on the stove.And I just love the color in my tropical fruit kitchen.

This OVENTE electric kettle has been a great addition to my kitchen. The 1.5L capacity is perfect for making multiple cups of tea or coffee, and it heats water remarkably fast - usually within 3-4 minutes for a full kettle. The borosilicate glass construction looks sleek and modern, and I like being able to see the water level and watch it boil.The automatic shut-off feature is a nice safety touch, and the kettle stays cool to the touch on the outside even when the water is boiling. The blue LED light that illuminates during heating is a nice visual indicator. The cordless design makes it easy to pour and move around.I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple of reasons: the spout could be designed better as it occasionally drips after pouring, and I wish the handle was slightly more ergonomic for larger hands. Also, the plastic base attracts dust and fingerprints easily.That said, for the price point, this is an excellent kettle that gets the job done efficiently. Perfect for quickly warming up baby bottles or making hot beverages. Would recommend for anyone looking for a reliable, affordable electric kettle.

Generally, I’m a forgetful person. I had 2 other kettles before this one and I would be running around in the morning and completely forget I turned them on or that it was done. Had one for less than a year and because it was so bulky and just beat looking I had to stop using it. Purchased my first glass one, because well it’s neat to watch the water boil, and that leaked after a few months. I've had this kettle for 2 years and it’s been great thus far. Its sleek looking, it’s been very reliable and, just gets the job done every morning. My previous kettles also felt a little more fragile. This model has a solid base that connects into the handle and to the lid. Feels much easier to hold to the point where I don’t feel like I’m going to brake it. Also my favorite part is that it lights up when it’s on. Such a simple thing but, I never seem to forget about it anymore because the light is more noticeable to me in the morning.I’ve seen other comments about the kettle forming rust or having issues with water quality and the auto shutoff malfunctioning. I have never found any of this to be an issue. I have seen some build up at the bottom of the kettle that looks like rust but, I just give it a good scrub and it and it always cleans up fine. I never have issues with it doing anything to my water however, I do always use filtered water so not sure if something may happen with water from straight out of the tap. As for the auto shutoff I can say after over 2 years it’s never failed me. I’ve liked it so much I just purchased a second one for my mom and that’s what lead me to write a review about it.Just a note to some. Make sure you don’t place this kettle, or any that I’ve seen, under a cabinet or in close quarters to anything. It will give off a lot of steam from the top and if something is just above it, it will melt, warp, or just smoker style BBQ whatever it is. I had a friends destroy his cabinet with a different electric kettle because he had it jammed at the corner of his counter and close to the cabinet above. This thing needs just a little room to breathe. That’s just my two cents take it as you will.If you do care it boils a max amount of 1.5L in 8min and 30sec thought someone out there may want to know.Pros:- Still solid after 2 years. No loose parts and I have no worry about using it every day.- Boils water quickly, several minutes at most for a large cup or to go mug of coffee in the morning.- Easy to see blue light that lets you know when the kettle is on or off.- Thick power cable that can be tucked into the base to adjust length.- Being able to watch the water boil through the glass, stupid but awesome and a pro to me.Cons:- Haven’t had any, so I bought another one.

So pretty. I thanked God for this electric kettle. I use it to make coffee and tea. It's easy to keep clean . I use it everyday.

I bought the purple version of this electric kettle 3 years and 2 months ago. I used it every day, multiple times per day. It has a large capacity, wide opening at the top with a removable lid. It is easy to clean and fast at boiling a full pot of water. It has only just now began to hiccup in its functioning, but still works. Love it and will purchase another one, red this time, to replace the one I have when it finally quits. Very nice product, no complaints, it is a very reliable electric kettle. I have no idea why you would spend more money for a product that isn't as good. Maybe for the name? Heaven knows your toaster needs to see that you buy big name brands! I go for function, but I'm a practical person.
