Complicated, uncomfortable, bulky and expensive
We are taking a long haul flight soon and as it is an overnight flight I thought that this may be useful to take with us to make us more comfortable and perhaps sleep more easily. Unfortunately for both my wife and myself it didn't really suit us, the first problem was how to use it, you may think that it's just a pillow, how hard can it be?, the answer for us is 'quite hard' although ther ar instructions and a video, it still took us quite a while to work out just how to wear it, because you do wear it, not just rest your had on it. The 'scarf' is held in a pocket in the back of the pillow as is supposed to be used to wrap round your neck and has three holes in it that the chin piece pokes through to hold everything in place, but I found it kept sliding off the chin piece and also it was very creased and looked rather untidy, I am sure that a more suitable fabric that creased less would be a big improvement. So it's quite tricky to work out how to use it, but once it's in position it's comfortable, surely? Again neither my wife nor I agree with this statement, I wear glasses and I found it pushed against the arm of my glasses which is uncomfortable, but we both also found that it was difficult to change position with this pillow on, so after an hour or so we feel we would be getting cramp. Personally I find the rectangular pillows that the airline provide is perfectly adequate and more comfortable than this. But the biggest issue for us is the siz of this pillow, it takes up nearly as much space as a football, even when it's squashed into its carrying bag, this is a considerable percentage of the luggage allowance. I also have to address the cost, at the time of writing it is ยฃ32.95, reduced from ยฃ39.95, even at this lower price it is still very expensive in my opinion. I was interested to see that this was awarded British invention of the year, quite frankly we are not sure why, if we had been on the judging panel it wouldn't have got our vote. I really wish that I didn't have to say this as I love to back British industry and products, but I have to be honest. This pillow won't be going on our long haul flight with us and if I had actually bought this I would have returned it for a refund, but instead it will probably eventually find its way to a charity shop.

Comfortable & Supportive Travel Pillow โ But a Bit Pricey
I recently got this upgraded travel pillow, and while it offers great comfort and support, I do feel it is a bit on the expensive side. One of the standout features is the patented anti-slip scarf design, which keeps the pillow securely in place. Unlike traditional travel pillows that shift around, this one stays put, providing excellent chin and neck support. I no longer wake up with a sore neck after long flights! I often find myself stuck in the middle seat, which can make sleeping on a plane quite uncomfortable. This pillow, however, provides 360-degree support, making it much easier to rest even when I donโt have a window to lean on. The design is well thought out and works for various sleeping positions. The material is soft and comfortable, making it pleasant to wear for long periods. Itโs also lightweight and compact, which is a big plus when travelling with limited space. Rolling it up and storing it in my bag was easy. The only downside is the priceโitโs definitely more expensive than many other travel pillows on the market. While the design and comfort justify the cost to some extent, I do think it could be a bit more affordable. If youโre looking for a high-quality travel pillow that provides excellent chin and neck support, especially for middle-seat travellers, this is a great option. However, if youโre on a budget, you might want to consider if the extra features justify the price. Great product, but a little pricey!

The best that I have tried.
When I saw this listing it was easy to understand why this pillow had won awards. I have several travel pillows, at various price points (which may tell you something about how effective they are), but none that are as functional and comfortable as this one. I was particularly drawn by the look of the chin support and then by the side of face support. All of my other pillows have back of neck support but all are mediocre with regard to side of head support and positively poor when it comes to chin support, offering little or nothing in that department. I really like how the scarf, that needs to be released from it's pouch, enables the chin support arm to be engaged with one of a number of slots in the scarf in order to customise the fit to your exact needs and which ensures that the pillow stays in position. I did find though that for the side of face support I needed to rest on something. If in anything other than a window seat on the plane that would have to be your hand with the elbow on the arm rest. The three modes of support, neck, side of head and chin, really set this pillow apart from the many others that I have tried and, when crushed into it's carry bag, it doesn't take up much more space that even my smaller specimens. Another great bonus for me is that the whole thing can be thrown in the washing machine. I just don't do hand washing. At ยฃ29.99 this is the most expensive of all the pillows I have tied but it stands out as being the best and so it boils down to what price you put on comfort. On a long plane flight I do often want a nap and this pillow helps me to get some rest. It also comes in handy at home when I just want to grab a quick hour but don't want to climb into bed.

A Game-Changer for Long-Haul Flights
After years of struggling to find a travel pillow that truly delivers on comfort and support, the JPillow Travel Pillow has proven to be a remarkable solution for my frequent long-haul flights. Its unique design, featuring patented anti-slip scarf and chin support, offers superior comfort, allowing me to sleep upright without neck stiffness or discomfort. The plush material feels luxurious, even on a cramped plane, and it stays securely in place, ensuring I wake up refreshed and ready for the day ahead. Though its size is somewhat awkward for hand luggage, clipping it to my bag has been manageable, and the comfort it provides far outweighs this minor inconvenience. As someone who seldom sleeps well on planes, even a few hours of rest make all the difference, and this pillow has significantly improved my travel experience. Despite its benefits, there are a couple of areas for potential improvement. I would appreciate a removable cover for easier cleaning, as the current machine-washable option is less convenient for routine maintenance. Additionally, a more compact design or a travel bag could enhance portability, reducing the risk of the pillow rubbing against surfaces or becoming soiled during transit. The "arms" of the pillow could be slightly longer for added support behind the neck and under the chin. Overall, the JPillow is a fantastic investment for anyone seeking comfort on long journeys, providing much-needed rest and making travel far more enjoyable.

Takes a few moment to work out how to "wear" it but once in place it's super comfy
Once you have worked out how to โwearโ this travel neck pillow then it really is extremely comfortable and far more useful on a long flight that any other travel pillow that I have bought (and Iโve owned loads of different travel pillows!) I do quite a lot of medium haul flights and it really does seem to me that aircraft seats get less and less comfortable. I recently ended up on a brand new aeroplane that had only done two previous flights and the seats were terrible. Knowing just how uncomfortable flying can be I have often been tempted to grab a travel pillow from an airport store and most of the time they havenโt been particularly helpful - either your head lols forward and you wake up with a painful and stiff neck or your head is forced into an uncomfortable position and it is useless. It is very cleverly packaged - there is a velcro sealed pouch that holds a long soft scarf like extension and so you much first open and extend this section around the back of your neck. Next there is a very usefully marked central section that you place just below your ear - this ensures that the entire side of your neck is supported. Next you are left with the extended scarf extension and a further cushion (the โtrunkโ) that goes under your chinโฆ this trunk section pushes into the appropriate hole in the scarf extension to keep it in place. The end result is that once fitted correctly the pillow will give you very very comfortable side support on the side that you are wearing it whilst at the same time it supports your chin/neck and stops your head from lolling forward when you nod of. It feels a little odd for the first few minutes that you wear it but you very quickly get used to it and realise that this is an extremely comfortable and supportive pillow and a major change from more โtraditionalโ designed travel pillows. It all rolls up into a carry bag to make it easy to carry onto the plane and really doesnโt take up much more room than a more typical travel pillow. It has clearly been designed by somebody who has suffered from uncomfortable travel in the past and has thought a lot about the human ergonomics involved. I am flying next month and will certainly be taking this with me for this and all future flights. Highly recommended.

would recommend
I got this for a European vacation and it served its purpose. If I'm honest, I dont think there is a miracle pillow out there LOL But this was comfortable and I did sleep with it for awhile on the flight. It can attach to your suitcase for easy transport. The fabric and sewing are good quality. It is a nice texture.

Saved my neck alignment stability while I sleep
I have used two versions of these over the years since one wore out after a year, because I used it every night when I slept. I had an upper cervical alignment issue with C1 and C2 vertebrae staying aligned due to my chin being tucked down to my chest/shoulder during the night. This pillow is a miracle to alleviate this damaging position occurring each night. I highly recommend this and even though i do not travel, I can see how this support pillow would keep a head from dropping down causing a stiff neck or worse. I appreciate this invention from across the pond.

Provides Support and Soft but Bulky
I was really curious about this neck pillow as I've tried so many before. The round donut ones isn't very comfortable and I'm always flopping my head forward and it actually hurts my neck rather than support it. I also have the blow up travel cube where you put your face in the hole on top and provides neck support with height. I kept seeing this and it looks like it would be a way to lay on my side with support. After trying it out at home (haven't had a chance to use it on a plane yet), I would say it does offer support and it is soft. I still feel like I will need to lay on the side of the window rather than being stationary. I like that the instructions are on the pillow because it looked oddly strange and at first did not know what to do. It's easy enough to figure out. I removed a point because I don't think I will be bringing this along as much because of it's size and bulkiness. I have to cram it into the bag it comes with and it's just not compacted enough for everyday travel.

A bit fussy to set up; I'm not yet sold
The product photos show a small upper headrest cradling the side of the head but actually it seems to come across my eyes, particularly if I'm wearing my over-the-ear noise cancelling headphones. The entire pillow can be rotated away from my face but then there's too much of a pillow behind my head/neck, and the main reason I've been looking for an alternative to a horseshoe neck pillow is to avoid too much stuff behind my neck & head. The foam filling is stiffer than I'd like. I'd prefer a "squish mallow" softness so it doesn't end up forcing my neck into odd postures. I wish the carrying case had a loop to facilitate hanging the pillow off my carryon backpack. There's one on the pillow next to the stow pocket for the neck strap so with some attention when stuffing the pillow into the case the loop can reach out the end of the case. I'm booked for a trip to Asia in a few months so I'll continue testing this on domestic flights but I'm not yet convinced this will work.

More comfortable than a traditional airplane pillow
I traveled with two pillows on a long distance flight - this one and a turtle neck one. I alternated between them, and even used them together. I found this pillow to be quite comfortable, and definitely much better than a traditional pillow because of the under-chin support. I found that turtle neck worked better for me but I would recommend this product to people who do not like restraining their necks too much.
