Shaving Lather Bowl|German Craftsmanship|304 heavy duty Stainless Steel|Three-layer Heat Preservation

This is a very well-made, multi-layer shaving bowl. I was using the single-layer design bowl before, and this one is much more useful, and convenient. It is the right weight and size -- does not tip over with a shaving brush in it, and the right size makes it perfect to hold, and tall enough, so the lather does not overflow. It has a brushed look and feel inside and outside -- not slippery to hold, and easier to make lather than in a polished-inside one. The triple-layer construction retains heat better, and keeps the mug cool outside, so it is not too hot to hold. I highly recommend it.

I wanted a bowl that would not take up much room on the bathroom sink and also would not break if it hits the floor. This bowl is perfect in every way. Excellent size for whipping up adequate lather while keeping a good grip on it. Retains warmth and is of course very easily cleaned. It doesn't matter to me whether the bowl was made in Germany or China, and, in fact, the description does not say that the bowl is made in Germany but that the design origin is Germany. Good quality stainless steel. Also, for whatever reason, and this may depend on how one holds the shaving brush, I don't have the problem of hitting the sides of the bowl when I whip up lather.

The package was received very secured in its shipping package and enclosed in its own box. Once opened I found a very nice, fit and trim dish with great weight and feel. It’s really a handsome bowl and enhances my gentleman’s corner of my bathroom with my other shaving gear. Very nice...very nice. So I used the dish today for the first time. It’s large enough for my badger brush and my larger boar brush. I used it with my badger brush today. I was able to load my brush very well and I could notice a little difference between the maintained temperature with this bowl verse my other (plastic) bowl. It’s clearly a better bowl, but I will have to work it a little differently to make sure the initial temperature of the water placed in the bowl is hotter. I normally would use the sink to soak my brush, but I will now start to use this dish. That will no doubt help with the initial temp and help maintain a warm temp after I reduce the soaking water level to work up the lather with my brush. Again...this is a good size dish. Because of that I find it a littler cumbersome to pack in my toiletry case for travel. Great job on the product and I would certainly recommend.

I have wanted a nice shaving bowl for awhile now. Have been using a plastic cup from the kitchen......."Yuk". So I looked at virtually all of the bowls on Amazon and decided on the Charmman. A wise call. This is a very nice looking bowl, beautifully finished and just the right size. The multi layer stainless steel helps whip up a healthy lather and keeps it warm throughout my shave. Highly recommended.

Bought it in 2021. It's a really high-quality metal, very, very strong and very resistant to rust, very impressive.

I've been shaving with a brush and lather for years, but until now have always used the hard soaps in a container that I whipped up lather in it after filling the brush with hot water. Decided to pamper myself and ordered some Viking shaving cream. Noted in the reviews that it mentioned using a lather bowl, and so ordered this one based on customer reviews. Sounded silly but thought I'd give it a try. Wow. Besides looking nice, it really does allow you to whip up a nice hot lather using only a tiny amount of shaving cream. I wipe it dry each time with my hand towel and use to blue cloth that came with it to clean my eye glasses.

I had a real nice ceramic shaving mug for years but it did end up slipping out of my hand and broke into too many pieces to fix. Bought this one since it is metal and it looks nice and holds shaving soap perfectly. Not too expensive and fits the purpose.

It fits my hand, holds a cake of soap in bottom, & is shiny bright. I can whip up lather in it easily. It is NOT heavy, only weighs 3 3/4 ounces. My old 'Old Spice' ceramic mug weighed 6 ounces. Says 304 on bottom, which is a common grade of good Stainless Steel. Surrounding the 304 number are what appears to be Chinese lettering; so it's not made in Germany. Perhaps designed in Germany.

Polished, solid, its perfect. I don't understand the whole keeping the heat concept or complaint, but metal is a conductor folks. This thing will last forever.

The stainless steel is durable and attractive. heating up the dish with hot water yields a nice rich shaving soap lather. It is well made and presents well. A must for the shaving connoisseur!

This bowl may have been designed in Germany, but it is clearly Chinese made when you look under at the logograms. At best the box that it comes with is made in Germany.

It does help keep the cream warm to apply to you face. It's not magic but it does the job.
