Ultimate Hardware EVA Bike Box Travel Hard Case

The Ultimate Hardware EVA bicycle case is terrific. The wheels attach safely and firmly into the side of the case with skewers provided. Still packed a little bit of bubble wrap between as well. In my case the saddle stayed on at its set height, handle bars and pedals come off and all pack in neatly and secured with internal straps and protected with a foam divider which came with the case. I filled any gaps with bubble wrap also loads of room for cycling shoes and helmet. It's stylish look and colour looked good walking through the airport. I felt the baggage handlers took good care too. Because it was so identifiable I say it both being loaded on and off the plane. It was easily worked with walking, going on trains and in the car too, just don't have too much other luggage to carry. The only thing to be careful of is the zip, but that's the same for any zip. Make sure teeth meet cleanly, don't force it. If it's not right go back and start again or even start from the other side. Great buy, terrific service from the seller. Definitely highly recommended.

The box itself is absolutely fine - EXCEPT - the advertised weight is 6.7kg whereas the box that I received weighs 8.7kgs. Emirates Airlines quote GBP53 / kg for excess baggage so the impact of this weight difference can be substantial.

Light, rigid box, great for my air trip to the Alps. Only downside is the lack of wheels on the front which means it is tiring to cart it around an airport without a trolley. The inside of the box doesn't have any mouldings or frame, so plenty of bubble wrap kept my bike in appx the same position and in fine shape. Great that skewers were included meaning I didn't risk damaging my nice skewers, as happened to one of our party.

it works, seems a decent value, but would be nice if it came with an instruction manual or link to Youtube how to fold your bike into it for the first time. If you buy it, I would recommend getting a little extra protection to go between your forks and seat stays... just in case. it is a semi-hard case, but for safety sake I would suggest adding that needed protection.

For £200 + this is a poor purchase. Lack of handles, wheel securing hole trim came adrift. Not as strong as the description implies. Spoken to supplier and was told they don't sell this product anymore, due to people using it once and then returning it. My purchase was an end of line model.

Used to take mountain bike hard tale large Connondale to Gabon Via CDG starting in London with Air France who charge 84 GBP one-way, my normal bag was delayed and my bike box arrived on time!! You can wheel it a small way but needs to go on a bag trolly. Customs like it in fact eveybody wants to know what it is used fragile tape. 20 mins to strip bike, peddels, Handle bars, had to remove back trailerseat etc i packed shorts, helment shoes, gloves, wheels, etc in with the bike. Addded a little padding.....dropped at the airport door and picked up at the airport in Gabon and then a 1 hour flight in a small aircraft. Would recommed but not for dragging round on public transport its really for that flying trip.

Case itself is ok, however for the price the build quality is very poor, from one flight I've a damaged front foot which has come loose, and a broken buckle surely from one flight this shouldn't happen! The customer service is also extremely poor I did raise this with the seller but refused to do anything about it and said that 'the airline was to heavy handed' all my other cases seemed to be fine! Load of Rubbish!
