Silent, Simple, and Solid Upgrade for Any Toilet This Korky QuietFILL toilet fill valve really lives up to its name. Installation was straightforward—about ten minutes with just a pair of pliers—and the adjustable height made it fit my older toilet without any fuss. The instructions were clear, but honestly, the design is so intuitive that you barely need them. The biggest upgrade over my old valve is how quiet it runs. Gone is the constant rushing noise after every flush; instead, it fills quickly and with just a soft hum. I also appreciate that it shuts off cleanly with no hissing or trickling afterward, which I had with the worn-out valve it replaced. The build feels sturdy, not flimsy like some generic valves. It also comes with a twist-lock height adjuster that makes fine-tuning easy without disassembling the whole thing. I tested it on a couple of toilets around the house, and true to the claim, it really does fit nearly all standard models. Something to keep in mind: if you have very hard water, sediment can eventually clog any fill valve, so it’s worth cleaning the seal occasionally. But this one seems designed to handle that better than most, and replacement seals are inexpensive if ever needed. I haven't replaced a toilet fill valve in many years, but I remember the last one being troublesome since it was a different brand and model from the original in the toilet tank. This Korky is wonderful, however - very simple and straightforward instructions and then it operates more quietly and very reliably so far - if that changes I'll be back to edit the review. Replacing this yourself will save you anywhere from $125-300 for the labor. If you think you can't do it or are afraid of plumbing issues - I get it, I don't like water seeking any unsealed gap and causing leaks - ask a handy friend to help. Removing the old fill valve is pretty easy, the only issue I had was that the water 'pipe' in the toilet to which the flap is secured at the bottom and where the rubber/plastic tube is clipped at the top for filling that pipe (which then fills the tank) had a round plastic piece at the top shaped like the 'theta' symbol. I wondered if it was permanently connected to the pipe, but gently wiggled it with cloth-covered pliers and it came off easily allowing me to clip the water tube from the fill valve where it appropriately connects. The other tip is to make sure the 'line' marked on the fill valve is 1/2" below the top of that water intake pipe where the fill valve plastic tube connects. I had to cut off about 1" of the plastic tube since it was too long for the distance between the fill valve connection and the water intake pipe. All in all it took about 1 hour since I haven't done it often. I really appreciate that it's made in the USA and gets fantastic reviews.

I actually haven't had to install this valve yet, although I think it has been almost a year since I ordered it. The previous valve -- also a KORKY -- seems to be holding up, so we're getting as much use out of it as we can. It had started doing this weird thing where it would hiss multiple times after flushing, but when I went to replace it, I found that whoever had installed it previously (possibly me, as my husband is useless as far as DIY) had NOT turned the water supply on IN FULL, so that seemed to help the tank fill properly and the valve started working more normally. When I tried to return the new valve to Amazon because I didn't need it, I was told I could keep it, but they gave me a refund, which was nice (it was only about $8, but still....). Unfortunately, NOW the older valve IS beginning to act up again, so I'm actually glad Amazon didn't make me send it back, because it might actually need it now. Based on my past experience, however, these KORKY valves are easy to install, as long as you know what you're doing, and remember to turn the water supply OFF and empty the tank before removing the old valve.... The height of the valve can be adjusted to fit different tanks, so it's versatile for many brands of tanks. It WOULD be great if they would last longer, but some of them don't.

After many years, the original fill-valve failed on my Niagra Stealth vacuum assisted toilet. I was worried that this new-style fill-valve wouldn't fit into the relatively small space available alongside the flushing mechanism. It does fit. I had to unlock the white-covered float valve by twisting it all the way to the right when I installed it using the hand-tight nut. Then after installation when I locked the white float-valve (by twisting it left at the proper fill-height), it locked into place with just barely enough clearance before hitting the side of the tank, as can be seen in my photo. (NOTE: If you need to adjust the float height after installation, be sure to shut off the water first!) I added the tube using the included stainless steel clip. Everything is working well. Before and after photos attached. We'll see how long it lasts, but for now I'm giving it 5-stars. I'll likely revise this review if it doesn't last several years.

Installed today. Took me about 30 minutes with the wife as my assistant. (Probably only 20 had I been on my own, heh, heh...) This is far better than the one I got at the big orange store eight years ago. I will be getting a second one for the other bathroom this next payday. Works perfectly, no leaks, very quiet, fills pretty quickly. This is a good product. It is also popular, so you can find a lot of anecdotal information and even videos online if you are worried about doing this yourself. I replaced mine with a similar kit in 2008 when I installed a new wax ring and seat when we bought this house. It always had this drip I could hear late at night. I was sure we had a leak under the house. Nope. It was that cheap valve, and it only got worse over time. Recently it simply started running non-stop. The Korky 528 was easier to install and works better out of the box. The price is also very reasonable. If you need to do this and are worried about it being difficult or messy, it is neither. You *will* have water to blot up afterwards. You *will* come to one of the last instructions and have a few "HUH?" moments. I would simply read the instructions and look at that one illustration that shows all the different types of lines to connect to, and work out in your head exactly which hose type is coming up from your floor or wall and carefully look at the illustration to see which parts you need to use. I have braided stainless steel over flexible hose and did not have to use a few parts. Older fixtures that use that steel gooseneck lamp-type of hose and hand bend pipes will need the extra parts. If you are not sure, do this in the middle of a week day and you can call them for help, I think. Also, you can watch videos.

I purchased this Korky fill valve a couple of years ago and recently had issues when the valve stopped adding water. I knew the valve had a 5 year warranty so I called the manufacturer who sent me instructions on how to examine the valve and do some maintenance. The cap gasket was worn and when I called back they said they were sending me a new cap. Maribel in customer care was great and she really helped me through the process. Thanks so much.

Overall, I am happy with the product. I had the old ball style fill valve that after flushing, would take a long time to fill and was noisy. I decided to give this one a try after reading reviews online. The install itself was easy. Just make sure to get all the water out of the tank or have a towel/bucket for when the water drains out. The instructions were straight forward. Now when I flush, it's not as loud as before, but I was expecting it to be more quiet than it is. The good thing though is that it doesn't take long to fill the tank so the noise is very short. I'm happy with this purchase. It wasn't expensive and was easy to install.

Quality of product is good but of no use as its inlet dia is neither 1/2” nor 3/4” thats why unable to connect to water supply .. dis product should be removed from amazon as it’s useless for indian users….
