I'm currently in the physical therapy for my right arm that was broken in december. During my sessions they put heat on my shoulder and at the end of the session they put ice on it. This is so wonderful and I got extra large fits directly on my shoulder and covers the upper humerus that was broken. The gel pack that comes with it has a nice storage bag as well. It's easy to put on and the cold is exactly where I needed to be. The gel pack and also be microwaved for heat. Get this whether you had a broken arm, arthritis, bursitis and your shoulder it works! All for under $20!

Well, I am a little disappointed with this. I have a bad right shoulder. Very bad bursitis and very painful at night. I use this in the morning and at night but it is very difficult to attach the arm strap around my bicep. the strap isn’t long enough to wrap around the arm. And it is incredibly painful with my bursitis to attempt to stretch and pull it around my arm with one arm. Probably should have attached the strap to the outer part of the arm as it would have been easier to pull around the arm. the other strap that attaches to the side and waist isn’t great either because it always moves. I don’t know if they could have used a better, gripping material to help or not. My arms are not big by any means.Stays cold for about 30 minutes.

I bought 2 of them for my husband. He had a shoulder replacement, he really likes them. One is on the shoulder, while the other one is in the freezer.It is cooling and not stiff, so it covers all the area needed.

I will be returning.Pros- built well, very insulatedCons- to ridged for post op use after shoulder surgery. Heavy.Maybe good for relieving muscle pain or stains.Seems like the arm is small- not sure my husband would be able to velcro around his arm if he tried, it seemed it would fit my arm but again- it was too heavy and rigid for me to give 100% effort into trying, would have been too painful on incisions.

This has really helped to ice my shoulder. It has a removable gel pack that you freeze, then once frozen, you can easily insert it into the brace. Then just put opposite arm through the large elastic and you are able to ice your sore shoulder without holding onto it. Allows you to move around the house while icing your shoulder. Would recommend.

Ordered this for my husband for his left shoulder pain. Due to his health, It was too heavy on his shoulder and couldn't be used. However, the pack and holder is very durable, wide and large enough for someone with a medium to large shoulder, the pack has some weight to it. When frozen, the pack is a tad bit hard to bend into shape. Stays cold for quite a while, I wasn't able to check timing against a warm body as it wasn't worn for a long time. I do recommend this ice pack even though it did not suit my purpose.

The goal was to keep ice on a torn rotator cuff while keeping my other hand free. This device worked poorly for that.However, it ended up being an indispensable tool for me. The brace itself was actually quite useful for helping to keep that joint immobile so it could heal. I ended up using this brace, a sling, and a tether. Currently, with what I hope was the worst out of the way, I'm still wearing this brace.The ice pack is also a good ice pack, and it will have a lot of uses over the years. It just doesn't work well with the sleeve. If you're looking for an ice pack and a sleeve, just not together, then this is the product for you!Original Review:The good news is, the gel pack that came with this shoulder strap seems to be very high quality. I've been using it 2-3 times a day for about a week now.The bad news is, the actual shoulder strap is pretty much worthless. I was able to figure out how to put it on fairly easily, and there are instructions in the package that were helpful for that. The problem is, no matter how I adjust it. I'm just not able to get any of the "cold" to make any sort of contact or have any sort of effect on my skin or the muscle beneath without physically holding it in place with my other hand. That's precisely the reason why I got a shoulder strap in the first place!It took me about five minutes to figure out how to fashion a bed sheet to do this task instead.
