Impressive device
I researched which robotic vacuum to buy and eventually decided on this one, although it was more expensive than others I looked at. However, (after a week) I am very impressed. He's not perfect but does a very good job cleaning the house. The waste container (inevitably) isn't very big, but the trick is to use him every day so there isn't a lot of dirt for him to clean up. I do find emptying the container a little awkward - it requires removal of the filter by pulling on a little tag, but as I have rather arthritic hands I find this a bit difficult. I have dogs and the hair tends to stick to the filter, but I've found the answer is to use my small hand-held cleaner to suck the dust and hair off the filter; a little irritating, but I don't think it's a serious fault. The flat leading edge means that he can get to the edge of the floor and clean along the walls, and the curved rear means he can get in and out of corners rather cleverly. He did squeeze under a dining chair and then got stuck as he couldn't quite line himself up again to get out, but that's been the only problem. The battery (so far) lasts well and he can clean the whole upstairs or downstairs on one charge. The sensor which stops him falling downstairs works effectively so I can leave him to clean the whole upstairs without worrying; it also stopped him from climbing out the back door. The floors do need to be clutter-free and having Jeeves (as he has been named) has provided an incentive to keep the house tidier! One little point - it would be good if he could alert me if he was stuck - I happened to notice him under the chair frantically trying to escape, but it would be a good idea if he'd make a warning noise or said 'help I'm trapped' so I could have gone to his aid sooner. So far I love him!Additional comments Jun 2018: Jeeves (as he is called) has recently been rather dysfunctional, working for a few minutes then returning to his base station to recharge (sometimes failing to get there and dying on the way). He would then wake up again later, sometimes at 2am, taking us all by surprise, and start cleaning again. Oh no, I thought, expensive problem here, needs a new battery. NO! Although a new battery isn't cheap, it is easy to replace and I hope that Jeeves will soon be back to his normal cheerful (and helpful) self

It was superb for the first week, then it broke.
Bought it two weeks ago and for the first week and a half it's been great. I have a large Bernese Mountain Dog that sheds hair like crazy and I set this going every day to stay on top of things. It was amazing to see just how much it collected every day and I was very impressed with the technology and logic used in the room scanning and navigation.HOWEVER for the last week or so I've been returning home to find it stuck in the most random places, in the middle of a room, reversed backwards and half climbing a skirting board or just going in loops trying to get out of a simple corner. I checked the laser turret was clean and free from debris, the roller and side brush were clear from obstructions and the bumper wasn't stuck at all. I was advised by Neato the only thing left to try was turning it on and off using the switch in the bin recess but that didn't work either.I have several videos of it trying to constantly reverse into a wall and lifting itself up backwards to try and climb it, because it was doing it backwards the metal charge connect strips have damaged the skirting boards in several places, damaged high gloss cabinet fronts and irreparably damaged a speaker cone.Granted my unit is obviously faulty but it's not had any falls or knocks and if it's going to break so easily just 1 few days into use then I can't recommend it nor rely upon it.Neato did offer to take it in for repair/replacement but that would take 10-14 days and since I'm still within my first 30 days I've opted to return it to amazon for a refund and will keep an eye out for any revisions or updated models from Neato.

A step in the wrong direction if your house has rugs
Having owned the previous model (XV Signature) I was looking forward to seeing what improvements Neato had made to it's latest lineup.I have 6 rugs in my flat, some short pile and some long. The previous model could cope with 5 out of the 6. This offering barely coped with 3 out of 6. My main living room rug is just too large to lift off the floor every time I want the neato to clean. Unfortunately it just couldn't cope with the long pile, barely being able to climb onto it, let alone clean it. I was extremely disappointed with Neato, for my house, the machine was a massive step backwards. The only positive note for me was with the combination brush installed, it appeared to be quieter than the previous model, but with the standard beater bar installed I'd say it was just as noisy which for a block of flats, is just too noisy to run for an hour a day.I can't really comment on whether the larger dust bin was useful or not as it didn't collect much.If your house doesn't really have any long pile rugs or if you are willing to lift them off the floor for cleaning I guess it could be a good machine, other people have written good reviews so I guess I was just unlucky.

Silencieux

Seguramente nuevo sea otra cosa
No conseguí averiguar a qué responde.
