Vizio makes a great tv, very reasonable price, easy to use and navigate on, dependable. This is the third one I've bought in the last five years. All working great and now I could easily afford one for the garage/shop, too. I can Bluetooth them to my hearing aides and not bother anyone no matter the volume, which I need to raise to hear over some power tools. Excellent product, high value.

Works wonderfully enjoyed having it

I have purchased refurbished desktop PCs in the past with excellent results, so I decided it would be a good deal to save money and buy a refurbished TV. My old TV (16 yrs flat screen) was a 720P and did not have all the current ways to connect with different devices. I will connect it to my desktop to see if I can use it as a monitor. The challenge for me is the digital features themselves. I'm 79 and an analog person. All digital is a challenge to learn because most of it makes no sense to me. This means reading the instructions multiple times and hoping for the best. When in doubt, I push buttons until something happens. After about an hour and a half, I decided to do a factory reset and try again. After another hour, I gave up and called tech support. Fortunately, I got a patient person who stayed with me through about 40 minutes of back and forth until we got everything working. This Vizio has Wifi, HDMI, Optical Audio, antenna/cable, Bluetooth, HDMI-Arc, etc. I am hard of hearing and had tried all methods available with my old TV to get the best sound, but it was still not the best. First, I tried Bluetooth with the Vizio, but the headphones I got were average at best. I don't want a sound bar because I would be blasting the adjacent apartments to have the volume where I could hear it. I decided to go back to using the Super Ear amplifier with very good over-the-ear headphones. The Vizio has really good sound. That sound plus using the Super Ear means I can operate the TV at a volume level comfortable for guests and my cats and still get clear sound for myself. The 1080p screen provides truly sharp picture like being there in person. I managed to connect my DVD player and get it functioning well. Even my discs recorded off my old TV are crisp with good audio. I had a Roku attached to my old TV. It was a surprise to find the Vizio has a built-in 'Watch Free' service that is basically the same. That is the remaining feature I have not yet tried. The AT&T Internet Air I got in December works flawlessly with the Vizio to give me web entertainment. It really is like having my own theater at home. Don't hesitate to buy a refurbished TV. This one is a winner.

Has a few operational annoyances. 1) Does not always come back to same channel after power off and back on. Instead comes up with ADVERTISING for some streaming channels or other JUMK programming. Hey Visio, I do NOT want to have to fiddle with the TV every time I turn it on! 2) When casting from another device, after casting is stopped, TV remains on set to a white noise music channel and then switches to random program. TV should TURN itself off if casting is stopped; add that to the setup options Visio. If it can turn itself on when casting, you certainly could fix it to turn itself off when casting is stopped. 3) response from remote control is SLOWWW. Too easy to overshoot desired selection. UPDATE: Annoying how slow it is to responding to remote control inputs. Other name brand TV works in a INSTANT!

Great TV for the price and the size. It was very easy to set up & very user friendly. Picture and sound quality were good for the size and price of the TV. Strongly considering Vizio now on my larger tv purchases just because of the simplicity and the built-in cast option.

TV won't shut off. So it appears every time I turn the tv off it goes on by itself about 2 minutes later. I think I'm hitting the right button...the power button? I've tried holding it down I've tried just clicking it...nothing. sign
