It comes with tricep-rope, barbell, ankle strap, pretty versatile in terms of training different muscles. Quality-wise it looks very sturdy and pretty smart with the computer and app built in it. The computer part charges pretty fast as well. It’s quite heavy though hard to move around, which is good as for stability but also hard to move around, need to slide it on the floor. It works pretty well for me as I dont really enjoy going to the gym as it’s too time consuming for me (traffic and waiting to use the machines) so this works out great for me. Worth the money.

I just got the gym and while it does work, it doesn't have 220 pounds of resistance. It only goes up to 110 pounds. Why would they lie about something so easy to verify?! The gym is also so loud. The beeps are way too loud and make early morning workouts, where you don't want to wakeup the house, nearly impossible. I'm very, very disappointed with the fact the gym only has 110 pounds of resistance. I paid a lot for this, thinking that I would get 220 pounds of resistance to work with and nothing is going to make me enjoy this gym until I get what I paid for!!!

I was a Total Gym user for 10+ years and moved with no room for the apparatus or weights so switched to band systems for the last 4 years. I’ve never been satisfied with the banded systems and have purchased some high-end ones that were a pain to use. I came across this resistance based package and about 2-weeks into its use I am very pleased with it! It’s very easy to setup and use, it does have a bit of a footprint but is easily moved and stored. Every accessory you would need is provided and so far is a quality build! Would recommend over some of the more expensive options with the sane technology and mechanics!

So this only is weighted on the pull, then the cables go slack and it slowly rolls back in. For anyone who knows the benefit of the negative contraction this means more than half the workout is wasted. To do the equivalent workout you would need to do double the sets. Then there is the app. After it crashed several times I finally got it to connect. But when it did I couldn't get the weight indicated on the phone to match the one on the app. Even after I power cycled and reconnected the app and it still wouldn't line up. If I changed the weight on the screen the app would change the same amount so they were consistently off. The attachments were the best part. High quality and comfortable to hold. Really disappointed in the product as I had hopes it would be a good device to add to the home gym.

We ordered this little home gym to help motivate us into working out more with resistance. So far, it has been wonderful. The controls did take some getting used to, but are very manageable, even for first time users. We appreciate the different accessories that allow multiple types of grips for mixing up workouts and getting more muscle groups engaged. Having said that, I wouldn’t call this a “total gym”. There are many resistance exercises that cannot be done on this machine. UniTop does have an accessory to this U-Trainer coming out that essentially turns it into a bowflex light. I am looking forward to trying it out and think it will add a lot more functionality to this machine while maintaining a small package and footprint. The only real drawbacks to this machines so far, beyond recognizing that it’s limited and not a “total” gym, are the resistance settings, need to place the whole machine near an outlet for charging, and reduced resistance on return motions. The resistance settings are in Kg, not pounds, which took some getting used to. The battery can be removed, but has to stray in the machine to be charged. This means that you either need to run a cord across the room, or position the machine very near an outlet. Luckily, we have a nearby outlet, but it could be an issue if you do not. Lastly, the machine provides even resistance when pulling, but much less resistance on the return. In this way, it’s not really the same workout as using free weights. This is a minor gripe for us, but could be a big deal for someone else depending on their workout needs. Overall, we are very happy with the U-Trainer. It does have some limitations, but we have found that every piece of fitness equipment we have used has some sort of drawback or limitation. If you need a compact machine for basic resistance training, this really is a great choice.
