Before getting this filter I only had 2 sponge filters for my 55 gallon aquarium, the water was really really cloudy after adding fish and letting it sit for or week or so. The cloudiness would just not go away, I tried adding water clarifier but that didn’t do anything. But after buying the extra large filter it cleared up with in two days. Setting up and starting was super easy to do ! I did have a user error where I forgot to turn on the inner light so it wasn’t working at its full capacity but after that it made my water crystal clear!! It’s also super quiet and was a perfect size my cabinet. It’s been a few weeks now and it’s still keeping up!
