needs to be perfect to work properly, and it's not perfect. minor bunching of the rubber over the magnet strip is present in a few places, it can't be fixed with heating it, and it prevents the seal from making up in those spots. Also, the hinge side is just slightly too thick, so the entire magnet rolls into the hinge side rather than sliding into position properly, which makes the entire hinge side worthless

Success! The gasket is fitting perfectly. The creases due to the packaging leveled out after exposing it to the sun for a couple hours. Installation was a bit tricky, because insertion of the rubber lip into the slot was cumbersome. I had to lift the plastic housing of the door a little bit and thereby broke off some of my fingernails. Soapy water as a lubricant was useful. No silicone was needed to fasten the new gasket as the fit was perfect. The manufacturer of the fridge did not supply any replacement gasket and claimed that the gasket cannot be replaced at all. He wanted to sell me the whole door or even a new fridge.

This company manufactures according to measurements, so I provided the exact dimensions, but they still produced it incorrectly. The height was fine, but the width was about 3 inches too narrow. Since they don’t accept returns, it ended up in the trash. The quality was extremely poor. Because this product was unusable, I checked Amazon and found that the freezer’s own brand actually has an official Amazon store. I also discovered that the door gasket for my exact freezer model was available for purchase there—it’s both original and cheaper. I highly recommend thinking twice before purchasing from this company. Like many others, you might end up buying garbage and waiting a long time for shipping, only to receive a useless product. If you can’t find the original part you need, you might get lucky and receive an item with the correct dimensions—but don’t expect quality.

My rather old refrigerator gasket is no longer being made so I ordered this one with a bit of trepidation due to the divergent reviews, but my own gasket seems to be pretty well made. I chose to cut a piece off of the old gasket to show it in cross section since the shape is unusual and they did a good job of making a gasket that fits into the outside screw down groove that this refrigerator uses. I'm dropping half a star for the color mismatch, but might up it to 5 stars if the installation goes smoothly once the folds in the gasket have flattened out. Update 2025-11-27: Finally got around to installing the gasket just a couple of days before Thanksgiving as the ice build-up from the old seal eventually caused the refrigerator to stop cooling properly. The custom seal installed without a problem and the seal seats firmly against the refrigerator body without leaks for the first time in a couple of years. I'm upping my review to 5 stars since this is exactly what I needed to have and works perfectly.

The gaskets took awhile to get to the US. Shipped in a bag. Took three days sitting on a car hood in 95+ degrees and full sun to straighten out. When I was able to install they would still not expand to cover the gap between the door and the freezer box. Magnet is pretty weak and wouldn’t seal. Wasted money on this purchase. Would NOT buy again

I was expecting exactly the same gasket material that I had originally but that may be my own fault for not looking at the example they had on the product.So when I got it a week early it was nice to have and it was the size I asked for , it was not white like I requested so it’s gray not a great thing but it’s better than no gasket at all. It’s been on the fridge and it’s starting to grow on me. It’s not likely to last decades but I’m thinking it will probably make it at least 7-10 years, it’s very flexible and soft just much much less material , I tried to look at like you don’t see the gasket when the doors is closed so I suppose it doesn’t matter , the fridge is nearly 30 years old and it runs excellent so no point in buying new stuff that won’t last no time.At first I thought this will never keep keep the fridge cold enough without running Nonstop but I was wrong it has done an excellent job it took about 3 days for the. Magnet and the gasket to form to the door and create a real vacuum and stick to the steel frame like it should. I’m now able to turn the freezer way down and the fridge easily cools around 33 degrees if I want it too without wasting electricity. So for the money which was about 56 in my case for a 18x62.5 was a fair price I’d definitely buy it again if the fridge was still running .It sure beats loosing a good refrigerator over a gasket that you can’t buy on the market anymore.
