I spent a lot of time trying to figure out which projector to get, and this one perfectly fits my needs. Not super expensive compared to many other options. It's really easy to use and looks great. It works perfectly with the google ecosystem that I use all the time. It's not super bright but it's plenty bright enough and works well even if there is some light in the room. It's portable so that means some trade-off in lumens. Now that I have it I don't think I need it portable per se, but it's a convenient size, doesn't take up a lot of space. The picture is huge and the clarity is nice although I don't think it's 4K but 1080p is good enough. Love it!

Great little projector. Normally run it plugged in to avoid the dim lighting of the eco mode. Picture quality it great. Menu system is semi smooth. YouTube TV tends to be a little laggy at times. Running a fire stick on it for a smoother UI.

The Halo+ gets a lot right. The picture quality is sharp, the brightness is impressive for a portable projector, and the built-in Google TV experience is smooth and responsive. Setup was quick, and overall it’s a great-looking projector. My biggest concern is the remote behavior while running on battery. Pressing the power button turns the projector off, but the remote won’t turn it back on. It becomes completely unresponsive, forcing me to walk over and use the physical power button on the projector. For a portable projector that’s meant to be convenient, this is a significant issue and not what I’d expect at this price point. If this is a software bug, I hope XGIMI addresses it with a firmware update because otherwise the projector has a lot to like.

Great picture! Exactly what I was hoping for. Brightness better than expected

I’ve had this projector for over a year now, and I’m still really happy with it. I tried several other projectors in the same price range, but they were so dim you could barely see scenes filmed in low-light scenes. This one performs much better. It also uses Google TV, which is a huge upgrade over the Android TV systems a lot of other projectors use. Another big plus is that Netflix works natively, so you don’t have to deal with annoying workarounds or sideloading apps like you do with many competing projectors. The customer service is excellent too. You’re dealing with real people, not AI or automated responses, and that honestly makes a difference.

If it's not what you were expecting and you would like to return, be aware you will not get a full refund. I was not refunded $60 of my total price of payment. Apparently it was dropped in price so only got the lower amount credited back. That's a poor way of doing business! The item itself was nice and had a great picture when watching tv but when my son wanted to play Xbox it was very grainy and poor quality. Only used it a few hours before deciding to return and the item was in great condition when returned.

It also doesn’t have an adjustable stand built into the body, so I need to place it on a table or use a separate tripod to get the angle just right. That’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s one more thing to pack. Overall, I’d say the Halo+ is great for home use or maybe car camping where you don’t mind the size. It’s bright, easy to use, and the built-in battery is convenient. But if you’re looking for something truly lightweight and travel-friendly, this might not be the best pick. It’s more of a “stationary portable” than a true on-the-go projector. For couch potatoes like me who want a big-screen vibe without the hassle, it’s a winner—just don’t plan to backpack it across Europe.

Its perfect multi usability with great picture quality. Can be used indoor to ourdoor, battery can finish atleast 1 whole movie, the sound quality is good enough for si ple movie movie theater for family. Good value for the price.

The XGIMI Halo+ (New), as of time of writing, is their latest version of this product which is supposed to come with GoogleTV. Once it started up, it immediately showed AndroidTV which was a clear indicator that this was not GoogleTV as advertised.

Pros : Light weight Good contrast Cons : Fan sound noticable when using in room and in standard brightness mode. Speaker in room is okey but outdoor feel not so loud. Battery less then one hour in standard brightness mode. Note : you can connect powerbank for extra juice with minimum power 65watt through usb C to 5.5/2.5 DC barrel
