I bought this to use in a multigenerational grandfather clock, to store in the base, so as the clock is handed down to multiple generations, each generation will know the history and journey of the clock. I thought it was fitting to memorialize the love that brought the clock into the family. Time capsules can be used for any item and to record any event or journey.

Well made. I bought this for my brothers wedding gift and got the entire family to put something in it. They weren’t able to see anything put inside. They can in 15 years I like to make memorable gifts this was perfect for that

Larger than I expected. Sealed up tight with the seals, washers and many screws. Nice that TIME CAPSULE is printed on the side. We wrote the year on the side.

I’m so happy I bought this. Some reviews on this don’t make sense to me because I thought this was perfect. Every piece came with it, set up was easy and quick, the quality is great and I have full confidence that this will stay in this condition until it is dug up and found in 18 years.

Habe die Zeitkapsel gleich zwei mal gekauft, als neuer Patenonkel von Zwillingen. In die größte Variante passten je 4 Zeitungen, ein persönlicher Brief und eine kleine Flasche Likör. Geöffnet wird das ganze dann zum Achtzehnten. Die Kapseln sind sehr wertig und machten auf mich einen durchweg guten Eindruck. Verschraubt werden die Deckel über einer Gummimanschette mit zahlreichen Schrauben an dem Mantel der Kapsel. Ist also wahrscheinlich auch wasserdicht. Meine Kapseln landen aber nicht in der Erde, sondern im Regal. Ich habe sie von einem Schlüsseldienst mit Laser gravieren lassen. Der Verkäufer wollte gleich wissen, woher ich die hätte, weil sie ihm auch gut gefielen. Gravieren war übrigens kein Problem. Für eine geritzte Gravur hätte die Materialstärke wahrscheinlich auch gereicht. Das Geschenk kam bei den frisch gebackenen Eltern sehr gut an. Ich würde sie sofort wieder kaufen.
