You should get good results with a tripod and a phone adapter. The optics are excellent.

Is the tripod included as a part of the accessories of 12x55 ?

There was no tripod neither in advertisement, nor in package of my order. BTW, monocular itself is an almost perfect device. Best of 7 different models purchased during last four years.
