Review: Great Stretch Cord - I make custom jewelry and must say this the best fiber cord I’ve used. It doesn’t fray and it’s very strong. I used Opelon for quite sometime but it’s got extremely expensive. You can’t break this cord because I tested the strength. Thr retention is great and snaps right back after stretching possibly I would double for eight or 10 mm bead if they are heavy this cord is 1 mm so you’re getting plenty of strength. I’m so thankful I found this. It’s so reasonable and I am definitely a fan. I highly recommend it. Thank you!

**Q: Has any one had the string split when you cut a length of the string off?  I did.**
A: I did. Completely split. And stretched even after I stretched for jewelry making. Bought this for my Girl Scout to make bracelets and running to Michael's now to get a better quality string.

**Q: Is it really flat like it says? I'm looking for a round elastic string**
A: It’s definitely round. I restrung a beaded Apple Watch band and it worked beautifully

**Q: I've found that some stretchy cords easily break apart over time, even if they weren't used.  Any such problems here?**
A: This isn't a comment on the quality of this, specific elastic string. But, that is just the nature of elastic in general. It's basically no more than a fancy rubber band. And no matter what it's made of (though it's usually made of a latex-based rubber and/or a polyester material), it will break over time. It can even break if it's left alone; that's because of environmental factors like humidity and heat. 

Better quality elastic will last longer, possibly years; but even that usually gives way after a while. That's why it's best to use elastic to make lower cost items you don't expect to last a lifetime, or beaded items where the beads can be moved to string or another elastic string at some point. 

If you're using elastic to make things for sale then it might be a good idea to have a warning somewhere stating that elastic isn't meant to last a super-long time. Then, price your elastic items accordingly.

**Q: Can I use this for glass beads?**
A: Hi.  Yes, you can absolutely use the string for glass beads.  I do this often.  I suggest using glass beads that are not too heavy.  This stretchy string holds up pretty well.  I only use it to make bracelets & anklets.  It works just fine.

I really like this string! I needed some new string for the bracelets I would be giving away at the recent concert I went to. Sometimes it's hard to tell what material the bracelet string is. This I feel, is your regular stretchy, bracelet string. I definitely prefer this over the thicker rubber string. It ties and is able to stay tied when pulled or put on. None of the bracelets I've made so far have started fraying either! Would buy again!
