good value for money couple of pieces missing but it is not very suitable for an 8 year old difficult enough for an adult.one to be kept for an older child

Bought this for Christmas for my 8 year old son. He is mad about Star Wars Lego and Halo at the moment so thought this would keep him quiet for a few hours. It actually took the best part of 3 days to build in the end. Talk about complex to build and difficult instructions. Most of it I had to do myself as there were so many complex and small connections. I would say that they could make it from half the amount of components, using larger pieces. Much of the time I seemed to be building larger pieces from primary components such as flat-eighters from flat two'ers if you know what I mean. Lego do not do this, they provide larger pieces and more custom pieces in order to achieve the same goal.The pieces fit together well and I have not seen it fall apart during play as others have mentioned, admitedly it is harder to snap together but once it is snapped it is difficult to prise apart again.It is a good looking model once completed and is getting a lot of play time. We also bought the Shortsword model which must have the most complex wing structure since the Eurofighter. Again loads of little pieces to make slightly larger pieces.Both are being played with a lot a the moment so I would say that they were worth the time and money spent on them.

great detail but as with all megablocks sets, it breaks easily after assembly and frustrates the player! ok if you want to build and admire or are prepared to use some glue.

A great well - made toy that really does look like the dropships in Halo - I had no problems with the fit and finish of the pieces on this model. Be prepared to spend a few hours on it however - this is quite a time -consuming build. My only quibble is that you have to open just about every pack of bricks to get through the first couple of stages, so you end up with bricks all over the place very early on.

A great toy at a great price. Big item, and loads of pieces. Not worth the current price but excellent at the offer amount so shop around.Couple of negatives - 99.9% of the pieces are the same colour and bags seemed to be illogical. We opened them all in the end and then separated them into bowls.Not quite lego quality of pieces or instructions but really very good and not a problem.Also we spent a lot of time looking for a particular piece only to later find an addendum at the back of the instructions whereby the piece had been changed ! Not happy - wasted 30 mins looking and cursing Amazon and mega blocks.Also a missing piece, but not a major one and you wouldnt notice it.Once complete all the problems vanished - it is impressive and seems sturdy enough. My son (9) loves it and wants more.Well done Mega Bloks
