Vital Proteins Lavender Lemon Beauty Collagen, 10.8 OZ

It tastes great. I was surprised that lavender tastes good. I thought this was gonna be a supplement I'd have to plug my nose & chug down real fast, but that's not the case. Bare in mind it's mixed with a lemon flavor. But they make a nice duo in terms of tasting good! Why did I buy the lemon lavender flavor if I was worried it would taste bad (the first purchase)??? Cuz it was the one out of all the choices that had the least sugar/carbs! Im not only trying to lose weight (successfully, I've lost 46 pounds so far in 4 months! yay! 40 more to go, is the goal!) But Im also sadly type 2 diabetic! So minimal blood sugar spike, the better! lol! I can only take my metformin a couple times a day, and have to be good about sugar consumption regardless of the medicine! I mix it in a glass of room tempature water & then add ice, in the evenings a little after dinner... It's relaxing & is now an enjoyable beverage I look forward too each day... just like my morning cup of coffee with the 2 scoops of unflavored collagen! Since doing this, I feel it has enhanced the results I noticed from doing the morning scoops of collagen! That was already starting to help, and this just made noticable results POP OFF like a "power couple" made in heaven lol! It's like a switcheroo! Cuz in the mornings, the blue container of collagen peptides focuses more on the collagen & has just a little Hyaluronic acid & vitamin C added in as a side perk! After dinner when I enjoy my glass of lemon lavender, in the pink container, it focuses more on the Hyaluronic acid with a little bit of collagen added into it! By having this each day, as a duo... my hair, skin, and nails have REALLY SERIOUSLY DRAMATICALLY improved. So I know it's helping/working! I can see & feel a visiable, physical difference! Highly recommend! It took about 2 weeks to notice it via my nails. By the end of week three, I was seeing some improvement in my skin. Felt softer. Not oily, but moisturized! By the end of the month I noticed a little less hair shedding! The shedding gradually slowed down over time, so it was over a month when less shedding was most noticable. And now, after 6 months, being consistent & doing this daily - my hair is very long! It went from shoulder length (and felt like I was going bald from so much shedding) to 6 months later having hair down to the middle of my back! And it feels much fuller. I cant say it will work miracles for everyone, but for me this seemed to really do the trick. Im a loyal customer now, as a result! My advice? Be patient & persistent! Consistency is key! I also want to disclose I take a daily multivitamin as well... But I've been doing that for 2 decades! Lol! So That wasnt the reason I saw a difference!

This flavor is a unique flavor, but makes the peptides tolerable. Other reviewers noted their preference for the unflavored one (blue container), but that flavor was so overwhelming to me that it made me gag. I'm able to drink this without gagging and feel like I noticed a significant difference in my skin after a week. Skin felt more moisturized and wrinkles less noticeable. I've stopped because I am bfing my baby and it made the milk taste metallic. Looking forward to restarting in a few months.

I personally did not care for this particular flavor, I generally enjoy lavender but the lavender taste overwhelms the lemon and it tastes a bit soapy. However I had previously used the strawberry lemon which does taste pretty good. It's hard for me to tell if this has done a lot for my skin as I also have an extensive skin care routine, I do fell like my skin does look more plump and radiant. At times the expressions line between my brows almost disappear. This has helped with my nails more than anything, which was not a goal but it's a nice benefit. I had really lost hope with my nails after trying biotin for a long time, and special brush on nail strengtheners with no results. My nails are a lot stronger and do not break as easily and completely stopped peeling. Price wise Vital Proteins is not a great buy as there are only 14 serving per a canister while other brands typically have 30-40. Like other collagens it's difficult if not impossible to mix into cold water. I've gotten it to mostly dissolve in cold water and very vigorous shaking, but it's best mixed in room temperature water, then chilled if you want it cold.

I personally was nervous to order this product due to the cost and the mixed reviews but i found it on sale and said why not?! Now you should know why you’re adding this supplement to your regimen. Personally I wanted the collagen for my joints, skin, hair, etc. Wanted the probiotics to help my digestion and the hyaluronic acid for the perceived skin benefits. I take it in the morning on an empty stomach before my protein shake. I have also taken it in the afternoon if i forgot to do it in the morning. I mix it in a cup of hot water (lavander lemon flavor) stir it with a wisk and it dissolves beautifully. You get a tea like beverage that I honestly look forward to in the mornings. I have not tried any of the other flavors but I enjoy this one so much i will most likely stick with it. I recommend starting with half a scoop for a week and then going on to a scoop just to see how your stomach takes the collage. I have seen stronger more even nails but you should do at least 4 weeks of a supplement to see results and i am not there yet (about two and a half weeks) Hope this helps! Side note: nutritional supplement usually come in a bigger canisters than they need to (for a few unimportant reasons like discouraging clumping and room for scoop and anti-moisture pack thing) what matters is the number of “servings” that you are getting per container (always on the nutritional table) This looks about right for this canister when you see the amount of the product and size of the serving which is not too big. As per their nutritional table, their collagen content is right at the daily reccomendation per serving.

The packaging is VERY misleading to the consumer. The average person isn’t going to be able to distinguish between “sold by weight” vs the size of the actual tub it comes in, expecting that it would be full. I was appalled to see my jar half full, you don’t actually need a canister that large for the product to be sold by weight, reduce your carbon footprint a little bit maybe? For the actual powder; it tastes nasty. I mixed it with crystal lite and found that to be the best way to stomach it to get it down. It also left weird frothy clearish looking gel beads in my drink that wouldn’t dissolve. Kinda grossed me out, like it was fish eggs or something. I was worried about how it would dissolve in cold water so I used some warm water to let it dissolve first then poured in the rest of my crystal lite. It dissolved without issue. If you do one-two scoops every day, you might get 2 weeks out of this 9oz container MAX, I think the labeling should be more transparent with how much of a supply you’re actually getting. This is my first “collagen” powder so I had no bias or expectations with this product.

It pains me to write this review because I love vital proteins no flavor collagen powder. Lavender lemon is quite honestly my favorite flavor combo in cocktails, kombucha, etc so I was super excited to try this flavor. Upon opening the package I got the lavender smell immediately (although definitely artificial) I use a lil mini electric whisk which blends very well, and the consistency definitely was a little chunkier than the normal no flavor collagen they sell. The flavor was not even close. Barely any flavor to it, but it almost made me gag - it just tasted funky. Almost as if I had a watered down lavender lemon bees knees sitting in the sun for a couple days…I could barely put down a glass it was so bad. I even tried adding fresh lemon juice and a couple drops of stevia, but I just couldn’t stomach it. Really bummed, because I haven’t seen a lavender lemon water or sparkling water out there yet. I would have loved to drink this stuff instead of a la croix some afternoons.

Yes, the canister is half full. Its half full so that the spoon can fit in there. Its hilarious to me that people dont understand that! This is advertised as 9oz and I measured- there is 9oz of powder in the canister. Ok, sorry for the rant. I am using 1 scoop per glass of water. And I drink a couple of glasses per day. The taste to me is lovely. Its lemony with a hint of lavender. This flavor is not one that I want to drink all day long, but it is one that I will drink when I come home from work when I am relaxing. I own several flavors from this company - the unflavored (I usually throw in a little crystal lite flavoring) , the GlowUp caffeinated orange, the night time apple cinnamon (dont like that flavor of this one) and the nighttime blueberry moon milk (love the flavor of this one). Ive been putting these in my water for a couple of months and the difference is amazing. My eye lashes are thicker, my fingernails are stronger, my hair seems to be growing more, my complexion is nicer, my eyes less baggy and tired looking from working so much. I have also stopped my wine intake (maybe 2 or 3 glasses per week now). Im 36 and I can feel a difference in my body and attitude since I started using these products. Its only been a few months - Im excited to see how I look and feel in a year!

My absolute favorite of the Vital Proteins products. Flavor is very calming and the lavender aroma is very soothing. I think it’s the best flavor of the bunch (I’ve tried strawberry lemon, hibiscus, and another I can’t recall at the moment). Definitely not too powdery when I dissolve it in my water (I prefer mine in hot water- I do think this helps it to dissolve better). I go very hard on cardio workouts in the morning, and i feel so good and replenished after taking in this “beauty collagen” after a good 5-7 mile run. Feeling beautiful on the inside really matters to me, so drinking this while stretching after a hard core workout feels really replenishing before breakfast/ a meal. I also joke with my sister that I have peek-a-boo eyebrows; meaning some days they look very full and on other days they look a little more sparse and scarce... when I take this in, my eyebrows are at a consistent thinkness (And I don’t manipulate by plucking or anything)... this is just a subtlety I noticed after starting this. I’ve been enjoying Beauty collagen for at least two years now and I’m hooked! Scooper also facilitates the replenishing process! (One less dish lol)

It is super fast next day delivery. I have seen reviews about the taste of this product but wanted to give it a try. The taste and smell is really terrible. And it doesnt dissolve in coffee unlike usual collagen peptides of Vital Proteins. I recommend to go by the usual one and dont buy this one.
