The beautiful color and quality of modern masters paint is amazing. The packaging was great and I received it exactly when I was told I was it saved me on a project.

The product seems watery & too translucent. Also the copper color seems off. I've used Modern Masters many times as a professional artist & this product is off.

I looked long and hard for a metallic paint that was in some color other than gold and silver (I got the copper). This paint had many color options. I was covering a very dark burgandy satin paint that was 11 years old. It did take two coats, but I was surprised at how well it covered. We rolled it on and it doesn't take much paint to get a lot of coverage! We used on a 6" wide chair rail around our restaurant ... and it is beautiful!!! Highly recommend. One comment ... because of the lighter color and probably the metallic in the paint, you can see flaws in your surface. So if that is a concern, make certain your surface is smooth. It wasn't extreme enough to bother me, so I didn't worry about it.

First gallon I ordered never arrived. Replacement arrived in a timely manner but when I opened the box there was paint all over the inside of the box and the packing paper and then all over me!! I will buy this paint again but NOT ONLINE, only from Home Depot or a paint store. The paint itself is wonderful, thicker than I expected, easy to use and covered well. Looks fabulous.

Used the copper color to paint ceiling in my "Man Cave". It turned out very nice....a dark ruddy copper color with good metallic sheen. The ceiling light reflecting off of it gives a nice amber/red glow to the room. I painted over a prime coat of Kilz, with one coat of the copper paint. There are some striations, but I thought that irregularity looked better for my application. I think with two coats, the color would have been entirely uniform. The striping you see is actual copper foil tape.

This stuff was very hard to roll and needs like 4 or more coats to look decent. Save your money!

The negative reviews here are from people who seemingly did not follow the directions. If you're painting a larger surface (I painted part of a ceiling), buy the extender fluid and follow the directions exactly. The end result is stunning. When the directions say each subsequent coat does something different, believe it.
