## Description

JVC HAFX1X Xtreme Xplosives In Ear Canal Earphones : desertcart.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Review: Big sound for the money - I went from the headphones that came with my iPod, to a set of low-level JVC's and then finally to these. For a start, these headphones look like they should be about £50 rather than £15 as they are very well made and robust. The little "XX" on each earbud make them look like a quality item, which they most certainly are. One thing that I also noticed when I put them on for the first time is just how much louder they are than my previous headphones. With my old JVC's I had the volume almost all the way up, which seems to compare to about a quarter volume with these. They pump the sound into your head furiously when turned up, and I could not notice any stutter or background buzz, which I found in my Apple headphones when turned up high. The bass is really rich and heavy with these headphones, which prompted me to go back and listen to some of my old songs to see what I had been missing out on. These headphones seem to revamp your songs and show you how they really should sound. The headphones are really comfy, and after an initial half-hour bedding in period they fitted perfectly. These headphones come with a range of sizes of the rubber that goes into the ear, which is handy if you have ears like dinner plates. I settled for the "medium" sized rubbers, and they have not slipped or fallen out since purchase. I found these headphones to be really effective when running and cycling, as they do not slip at all, and the noise cancelling blocks out most of the noise around you, to let you get on with whatever you are doing uninterrupted. The sound is really rich, with the treble and middle being surprisingly good for such bass-heavy headphones. Overall I would recommend these headphones to anyone, as they seem to suit all styles of music. I would defiantly go for these over a pair of Beats (which I have tried and couldn't find any improvement except maybe the treble, which is outstanding), as they are a hell of a lot cheaper and perform almost as well. I would buy these if you are looking for a pair of cheap headphones which perform as well as high-end alternatives.
Review: Pretty good Headphones in my opinion - Well, originally i owned an Creative EP-630, and that Earphone alone was top notch. Compared to my old earphones and headphones that doesn't provide any noise cancelling ear buds, the Creative EP-630 had a really top of the category sound and is really worth the price. And originally buying it at the price of 7 quid, now its at 10 quid looking at how high the demand of the existing headphone created by Creative Tech. But sadly mine got broken, still works but you need to spin the earphone around and around until it starts to work again and i thought it was mainly caused by being pulled up. And was literally my own fault for sleeping while using it knowing i really move alot while asleep i probably pulled the wires connected to the earphone's causing it to malfunction. Thats when i though of buying new Earphones and said, why not try something new? then i found this JVC HAFX1X Xtreme as a recommendation. And in my opinion it is a decent headphone together with the EP 630 that i used to use. Although it has it draw backs compared to the EP 630. Mainly the HAFX1X Pro's: >Aesthetically it looks really nice together with that red and black color's >>The wire is decent in length and the wire is solid copper and pretty stiff they havent tangled that much for me so far which is good >>>The sound quality is good as well and its as good as the EP 630 >>>> Originally both this JVC HAFX1X and the the EP 630 had the same price so i guess it was just a matter of changing the prices but both earphones perform great! >>>>and the Noise cancelling works pretty well! but avoid using them while crossing the road! or riding a bicycle/motorcycle Yes i think this is a good value for money, But together with The pro's on all existing products, they will most of the time also have the Con's, but this con's are mainly things that i found after using it now for 2 weeks. Con's: >well ive read some stuff on the reviews section and did found people saying the bass is rather too much, and i guess i have to agree with this. Depending on the soundtrack's i play and mostly they are Progressive rock, Melodic Rock, Alternative Rock, Psychedelic rock, etc. etc. and mostly instrumental's mainly listening to them while walking or doing something and making the things i do (walking, reading, Jogging etc) as the vocal for t he instrumental i mostly listen. The Bass is too much that the other sound and tunes are being overshadowed by the base. Also when i do have soundtracks with vocal, again that vocal is overshadowed by the bass, you barely hear other sound since the bass is beating that hard. But in some of the tracks i listen too the Bass doesn't act up to them. >> the wire is probably too stiff and as always i try to tape the wire on the 3.5mm audio jack to avoid it being strained when accidentally being pulled or pressed, since its the main reasons why my headphones or earphones starts to stop working. Mainly because of the wire getting pulled. Its just that i feel its more prone to getting damage from the inside from getting pulled because the wire is more stiff (solid copper) and that its also stiff on the 3.5mm audio jack to wire connection. Anyways its just me, overall this Earphones are good! Currently using it but still gonna get myself a new Pair of Creative EP 630 though before that version ran's out and before its prices sky rockets! But yes both Earphones are of top quality! And ! i don't suggest using earphones listening to soothing soundtracks while falling asleep! its imminent death for the good earphones! :<

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this have a mic?**
A: No they dont. If you need mic and volume control i recommend the Betron DC950 earphones. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Betron-Headphones-Definition-Replaceable-BlackBerry-Black-Mic-Volume-Control/dp/B00N771OEE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1409915126&sr=8-3&keywords=dc+950

**Q: Can these earphones be used when making a call. Are you able to talk to the person with the earphones in or do you have to take them out.**
A: Yes you can, but you will use the mic on your phone and the sound comes through the headphones. You can leave them plugged in.

**Q: Is a case case included?**
A: Yes, come with a small black box to store the extra ear buds and headphones in

**Q: Are these the older (better) version with the thick cable? Or the cheaper flimsy version with thinner cable?**
A: It is the thicker cable but its not as soft and flexible as my older pair

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good budget earphones.
*by R***I on 10 May 2015*

The headphones did not rich me in time. So I got the refund. However I ordered these from else where. Amazon was graceful in refunding the amount quickly though. However here is my review on the product itself. First of all I don't know if I am audiophile, but i love music, all types of it. I have another set of earphones those are Bose IE2. I love them, They are my favorite even now. However their wire started to wear off and I have to buy a spare to take it out and use bose in home and office. Ok Now the product review Compatibility:The one issue we generally face in many headphones is the 3.5 mm plug.It fits in one and it does not in other. But these worked perfectly in all my devices. My Laptop, iphone, my friend's HTC phone and also a chinese made phone. So this is a five star. Comfortable: With all the headphones i have used so far I always realised one thing. It really comes down to individuals. The one that fits my ear, wouldn't fit you. So i really can't make recommendations for you here. But all I can say is, there are three pairs of cushions. small, medium and large. Medium comes attached on the headphones initially and the other two in the hard pouch that comes with this. The problem is that it did not fit my right here correctly. Though the left was ok. So a three star here. Build Quality: Really I have to say it is just ok. one month after the use i can literally see the cables dangerously swirling freely into the sheath of earplug and the 3.5 mm jack. This means you can expect it to come off anytime soon. But the earphones plugs are strong. So a three again here. Sound Quality: For the price, these are really good. Because of all the "Deep bass" advertising and the XX name, I was worried that it would be to bassy and might override the trebles. But it was not the case, Though i wouldn't say it is "balanced" I would say it was pretty neat. You can hear music in these for 60 mins continuously after which you might have to take a break which is common with all the earplug type earphones. Given its price it is definitely a 5 starer. The music is clean with adequate punch, treble and the vocals as well. Conclusion: You are music lover and buying these as your spares go for it, but if you want these to be your primary earphones, you might have to think again. There is a reason why it is cheap. But if you just don't care just go for it and you will be pleasantly surprised.
