Big sound for the money
I went from the headphones that came with my iPod, to a set of low-level JVC's and then finally to these. For a start, these headphones look like they should be about £50 rather than £15 as they are very well made and robust. The little "XX" on each earbud make them look like a quality item, which they most certainly are. One thing that I also noticed when I put them on for the first time is just how much louder they are than my previous headphones. With my old JVC's I had the volume almost all the way up, which seems to compare to about a quarter volume with these. They pump the sound into your head furiously when turned up, and I could not notice any stutter or background buzz, which I found in my Apple headphones when turned up high. The bass is really rich and heavy with these headphones, which prompted me to go back and listen to some of my old songs to see what I had been missing out on. These headphones seem to revamp your songs and show you how they really should sound. The headphones are really comfy, and after an initial half-hour bedding in period they fitted perfectly. These headphones come with a range of sizes of the rubber that goes into the ear, which is handy if you have ears like dinner plates. I settled for the "medium" sized rubbers, and they have not slipped or fallen out since purchase. I found these headphones to be really effective when running and cycling, as they do not slip at all, and the noise cancelling blocks out most of the noise around you, to let you get on with whatever you are doing uninterrupted. The sound is really rich, with the treble and middle being surprisingly good for such bass-heavy headphones. Overall I would recommend these headphones to anyone, as they seem to suit all styles of music. I would defiantly go for these over a pair of Beats (which I have tried and couldn't find any improvement except maybe the treble, which is outstanding), as they are a hell of a lot cheaper and perform almost as well. I would buy these if you are looking for a pair of cheap headphones which perform as well as high-end alternatives.

Pretty good Headphones in my opinion
Well, originally i owned an Creative EP-630, and that Earphone alone was top notch. Compared to my old earphones and headphones that doesn't provide any noise cancelling ear buds, the Creative EP-630 had a really top of the category sound and is really worth the price. And originally buying it at the price of 7 quid, now its at 10 quid looking at how high the demand of the existing headphone created by Creative Tech. But sadly mine got broken, still works but you need to spin the earphone around and around until it starts to work again and i thought it was mainly caused by being pulled up. And was literally my own fault for sleeping while using it knowing i really move alot while asleep i probably pulled the wires connected to the earphone's causing it to malfunction. Thats when i though of buying new Earphones and said, why not try something new? then i found this JVC HAFX1X Xtreme as a recommendation. And in my opinion it is a decent headphone together with the EP 630 that i used to use. Although it has it draw backs compared to the EP 630. Mainly the HAFX1X Pro's: >Aesthetically it looks really nice together with that red and black color's >>The wire is decent in length and the wire is solid copper and pretty stiff they havent tangled that much for me so far which is good >>>The sound quality is good as well and its as good as the EP 630 >>>> Originally both this JVC HAFX1X and the the EP 630 had the same price so i guess it was just a matter of changing the prices but both earphones perform great! >>>>and the Noise cancelling works pretty well! but avoid using them while crossing the road! or riding a bicycle/motorcycle Yes i think this is a good value for money, But together with The pro's on all existing products, they will most of the time also have the Con's, but this con's are mainly things that i found after using it now for 2 weeks. Con's: >well ive read some stuff on the reviews section and did found people saying the bass is rather too much, and i guess i have to agree with this. Depending on the soundtrack's i play and mostly they are Progressive rock, Melodic Rock, Alternative Rock, Psychedelic rock, etc. etc. and mostly instrumental's mainly listening to them while walking or doing something and making the things i do (walking, reading, Jogging etc) as the vocal for t he instrumental i mostly listen. The Bass is too much that the other sound and tunes are being overshadowed by the base. Also when i do have soundtracks with vocal, again that vocal is overshadowed by the bass, you barely hear other sound since the bass is beating that hard. But in some of the tracks i listen too the Bass doesn't act up to them. >> the wire is probably too stiff and as always i try to tape the wire on the 3.5mm audio jack to avoid it being strained when accidentally being pulled or pressed, since its the main reasons why my headphones or earphones starts to stop working. Mainly because of the wire getting pulled. Its just that i feel its more prone to getting damage from the inside from getting pulled because the wire is more stiff (solid copper) and that its also stiff on the 3.5mm audio jack to wire connection. Anyways its just me, overall this Earphones are good! Currently using it but still gonna get myself a new Pair of Creative EP 630 though before that version ran's out and before its prices sky rockets! But yes both Earphones are of top quality! And ! i don't suggest using earphones listening to soothing soundtracks while falling asleep! its imminent death for the good earphones! :<

A good budget earphones.
The headphones did not rich me in time. So I got the refund. However I ordered these from else where. Amazon was graceful in refunding the amount quickly though. However here is my review on the product itself. First of all I don't know if I am audiophile, but i love music, all types of it. I have another set of earphones those are Bose IE2. I love them, They are my favorite even now. However their wire started to wear off and I have to buy a spare to take it out and use bose in home and office. Ok Now the product review Compatibility:The one issue we generally face in many headphones is the 3.5 mm plug.It fits in one and it does not in other. But these worked perfectly in all my devices. My Laptop, iphone, my friend's HTC phone and also a chinese made phone. So this is a five star. Comfortable: With all the headphones i have used so far I always realised one thing. It really comes down to individuals. The one that fits my ear, wouldn't fit you. So i really can't make recommendations for you here. But all I can say is, there are three pairs of cushions. small, medium and large. Medium comes attached on the headphones initially and the other two in the hard pouch that comes with this. The problem is that it did not fit my right here correctly. Though the left was ok. So a three star here. Build Quality: Really I have to say it is just ok. one month after the use i can literally see the cables dangerously swirling freely into the sheath of earplug and the 3.5 mm jack. This means you can expect it to come off anytime soon. But the earphones plugs are strong. So a three again here. Sound Quality: For the price, these are really good. Because of all the "Deep bass" advertising and the XX name, I was worried that it would be to bassy and might override the trebles. But it was not the case, Though i wouldn't say it is "balanced" I would say it was pretty neat. You can hear music in these for 60 mins continuously after which you might have to take a break which is common with all the earplug type earphones. Given its price it is definitely a 5 starer. The music is clean with adequate punch, treble and the vocals as well. Conclusion: You are music lover and buying these as your spares go for it, but if you want these to be your primary earphones, you might have to think again. There is a reason why it is cheap. But if you just don't care just go for it and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Excellent product for the price. Very loud!
Having just bought this set of earphones & played about with them for 2 days, I thought I would give them one of my typically subjective long-winded yet dispassionate reviews. I somehow lost my previously-loved Creative EP 630 earphones, which are re-badged Sennheisers, btw, so I needed something to replace the atrocious Apple earpods supplied with my iPod & to listen to & watch iPlayer TV on my Kindle Fire HD. These fit the bill precisely. The JVC plastic carton in which theyre supplied needs a chainsaw to open, as has been previously mentioned, but after 10 minutes of hacking, eventually youre presented with the product. The actual ear canal phones are default-supplied with medium sized silicon ear-inserts on, which fit my earholes perfectly, but if youve super-small or gigantic lugholes, a pair of small & larger ones are supplied. The supplied case is also jolly useful, & unlike one of the revevers pics suggests, the actual earphones do fit inside the case quite happily, along with the wire, as theres not much point in leaving the breakable bits outside the case, is there? Anyway..... The phones are a lot more durable-looking than my lost Creative/Sennheisers & the ear-canal bits go further inside my ear, so as effectively cut off outside noise & not fall out when I mow the lawn....they go in quite a long way & are supremely comfortable to wear. The wire is red. Now, never having heard of Dr. Dre, & his no-doubt super products & "music" , yet being aware of the brand through reviews of this product, I have yet to be questioned about whether or not theyre "Dres" by my septuagenarian neighbours whilst outside in the garden. The wires are twice the girth of my Creatives & Apple earphones, very robust & do not tangle & twist about themselves, which is a major plus compared to other thin-wired ones. Nor do they transmit rustly noises when touched. However, they are red, so be warned! The Sound. They are VERY LOUD. So turn down your volume before playing a track, then crank it up to taste. The base is punchy but not overtly overwhelming & drums particularly crisp & noticeable & the sound drills into your head very nicely, with good stereo separation. The higher frequency sounds are a tad exaggerated & marginally rough at full volume to my taste and the way these phones have been configured clearly muddies the midrange a bit. I used to be an audiophile, with fancy hifi setup & so on & highly critical, but Im not so fussy now. But hey.....theyre 13 quid right now & you can always adjust the equalizer on your device to compensate, cant you? Ive been assured by my wife that theres no external sound leakage also, even with the volume at 11. These things really go quite far into your ear, & probably also loosen any irritating earwax problem you may have, eventually, so thats another plus. On my Kindle Fire HD watching TV programmes, the sound settles down, turned to mediumish & the ambient sounds in the production are faithfully produced & the stereo stunningly rendered. Im very pleased with this purchase, & believe me, they beat the Creative 630s hands down in the budget stakes, stay in your ear whilst mowing the lawn & probably when running. I wouldnt know about the latter as I dont think running is a good idea unless youre being pursued by a zombie, but thats just me. For the price, an excellent choice, & the funky little box they supply means you shouldnt really lose them in your bag, if you remember to take the little box with you, that is. All in all, an excellent product at a very reasonable price.

Good but not great
I ordered these due to the high amount of good reviews and the low price. I also read some of the bad reviews but still purchased as the good vastly outweighed the bad. Firstly, shipping was swift and the headphones arrived after 2 days. The packaging was an absolute nightmare to open, it took a scalpel and a steady hand to cut through the tough plastic without damaging the headphones. You get a cheap and cheerful plastic case to store them and the standard small, medium and large earpieces that you get with most in-ear headphones. The 3.5mm jack has a really neat small plastic surround which is great, and the cord is nice and sturdy. As for the quality... not sure what I was expecting but there are a few major problems with these headphones. I'm a bit of an audiophile so please excuse my probably over-critical review. At low volume they are good quality and have a rich overall sound. But I'm guessing most of you are looking at buying these (like I did) because you want the bass to blow you away and have pendulum make your day once more. The fact is that the audio quality at high volume on an MP3 player or iPod or phone with these headphones is worthy of about 2 maybe 2 and a half stars. I tried it in my Creative Zen and on my Samsung Galaxy S2. The Zen usually gives brilliant quality with all of my other headphones and the SGS2 is about middle of the road in terms of its audio output. The problem these headphones have is that the treble is sometimes painfully forced and spikes way to high above the volume it should be. If for example you're listening to a track with a some kind of snare drum beat or similar 'clapping' sound which usually sits comfortably within the periphery of your ears, with these headphones it is somehow brought forward and forced right into view causing a very uncomfortable sensation in your head. This is a great shame as it blocks out the lovely rich bass that now sits in the background barely audible. I tried customizing the equalizer on both devices but no combination got rid of the problem. The reason for 3 stars is that playing through a laptop seems to be much, much better. I have Realtek HD Audio Manager installed so maybe it's this software ironing out all the kinks. All I know is that I will now only be using them with my laptop. Now they have a rich overall sound which is far better balanced than before. And yes, the incredible bass is now audible even at high volume.

I bought these for the gym as my Ipod headphones are just a piece of...well whatever... they are not good. Okay I haven't tried the Beats or the Bose but I have tried Ipod, Skull Candy, Senheissers and even a whole range of mobile phone headphones for "music" phone and these JVCs ... beat all of them hands down. I put them in and played the song "Mogwai - We No Here" and was just absolutely shocked at the clarity of the sound as well as the bass. The bass is deep but not pounding, especially when you turn the volume up all the way - clear and crisp yet gives you the BOOM. The treble on these give the higher frequency sound clarity also - you hear all the sounds and they deliver the songs in your playlist with sheer ease. I suggest you play the mentioned song and test the bass yourself as well as the treble once you get them - trust me they will not disappoint. Also, these are just for a tenner - where can you go wrong? The build quality seems very solid - the ear pieces themselves feel very sturdy and quite stylish and the cable is thick and not flimsy like many other headphones (reminds me of strawberry shoelaces haha). You could almost say they have a rugged feel to them both visually and upon closer inspection. But on a serious level - very very good head phones both by build, sound and price. As I use them for the gym they may experience some of the workout so if they do happen to break (only due to my carelessness and not because of the build quality) I will most definitely purchase another pair. If your looking for a quick cheap pair don't waste you're money just saying "Aah doesn't matter I'll just a get a pair from my local shop" - invest in these, they're definitely worth 2x 3x 4x 5x (so on and so forth depending on your opinion) their stated price. Hope this helps...and if you have bought these - "I told you so!"

Bad Product.
WARNING WARNING WARNING. I have to write this WARNING as I am not happy at all with the TRISUN UK (the seller). I have received the product on time, give here full marks, however when opened and used the products It was not like the details and other reviews I have seen. According to the other reviews the product was simply amazing for the price. Well this is not the case I have with my Item. The sound was not as expected at all, but I just ignore that as it was really really cheap so no point to complain. However after two weeks the sound is completely distorted, and sound levels from both sides left and right are not even, if I use it at low volume they are fine but if I take it to loud they dont work. I sent a complain email to the seller who write me this in there email. " I am a not a audio expert so I can not give a professional opinion. But I did open a box to check if everything that should be in the box is in the box. Then I tried the earphone and felt it is good quality. They are the official products made by the reputable manufactuer JVC. You may find some sellers are selling counterfeit products but we don't. From the customers' reviews, you can find that it is a good product. This was proved by our fantastic sale results too. We sold around 10 items a day and you are the first person to complain the quality. I can't judge if your comments are correct or not." well I dont dispute the other products I am only complaining what I have in my hand. following another email where seller tells me they are seeking profesional advice from AMAZON. I receive another email with this offer from the seller PLEASE I bought an item for £10.50 some thing here is the reply " we are a seller as well as a buyer. So know what a buy thinks. Therefore we always try to help our customers whenever there is a problem. That is why we offered discount for your furture purchase from us even you have not provided any evidence about your claim and you did not contact us in time. You can get further advice about this from Amazon if you want. However, it will take a lot of time and effort. Also, we don't think anyone can get benefit from this. That is why we offered you discount for your future purchase so that we can get a win-win result. Now we can give you a revised offer. If you (or anybody you know) will buy anything from us in the future and the order value is over £30, we can give you another Fx1x, (we guarantee that it is brand new, but box opened by us for checking the content in the box) for free. Please let us know if you will accept our offer. " Gosh I am not happy with a product worth £10.50 some thing why will I buy a £30 worth of purchase from this seller ? and they will give me an open product for FREE... well I have refused the offer while making a comment " that product may be fake as I have told them its not working fine" All I want is to replace it or give me a refund. I am happy for them to test that this product is not working. I get this email back from the seller " Hi That is OK. Please contact Amazon for advice. We have got the advice which was shown to you in our previous email. But please be careful with the language you used. The product we sold to you is official and any seller who sells fake products will punished by amazone. Also Any false claim from buyers will be treated as fraudent and Amazon will take action against them too. You are the only person making a compalint about the quality of this products sold by us. We sold a lot of the product which is so popular that was sold out again. We told you in our previous email that we only got low profit from this product because of the competion and soaring fees from Amazon and Royal Mail. Our profit will not even cover the postage let along the cost of the product. That is why we offered you free replacement with furture purchase because it will offset our cost. Althogh we were advised not to send any replacement, we still offered you a replacement if you or anybody you know will buy us again because we believe it is win-win situation. However, you refused our offer. Then please contact Amazon for advice and we will take their advice too. In any case, you have to provide all the original items you bought from us, i.e. packaging, earphone, manual, case ....etc. Then prove that it is a faulty product and the problem is not caused by your misuse. As we said, it takes time and nobody gets any benefit from it. Think about our offer again. Regards TrisunUK" Well the seller dont agree that a product can be faulty but tells me to be careful with my language as I just said it may be a fake as some other sellers are selling it "mentioned by the Trisun UK" in the above email. " I just want to ASK TrisunUK that if the product is original and may have a problem where is the JVC manufacturer guarantee. IF JVC MAY MAKE A FAULTY ITEM WILL THEY NOT REPLCE IT".

Great set of Headphones
I have long awaited a new set of earphones to replace my previous ones, which are i have to say, in a pretty poor state with only one ear bud working. When the JVC's arrived i was impressed with the packaging, really good first impressions. Upon opening i immediately plugged them in to my Laptop and gave them a go. BRILLIANT. Really good sound quality with deep base and a really deep strong sound, whichever genre you choose to listen to. I listen to various genres of music, but to really give them a blast i put on some drum and base and i was astounded with them. But to make sure they were a good universal earphones i tried some softer music and i found that, when you have a good set of earphones (like these ones) you hear different instruments which you don't realise were there which was very impressive. I use my earphones everyday and i have to say i do put them through a lot. I like my music loud, however i try not to make it too loud that people start to give me disapproving looks. The earphones work well in all of my music devices, i use my phone and my IPod. If i was going to criticise i would say that the earphones give better quality when they are plugged into my IPod than my phone, but it is hardly noticeable and my phone is not the best of models- This is me being very critical. The earphones are also very aesthetically pleasing, with the strong red cable and the big, bold buds which fit perfectly in your ear. I did have someone comment on them recently asking me where i got them because they look so great. In the box as well, you also get a nice little case which i don't really use because it takes time to put the headphones in, more time than usual because the case is perhaps slightly too small, however, again this could just be me being lazy and critical. But to add to that, the case does look great and i can see why you would use it. To conclude, these are are really good quality earphones for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend purchasing these JVC Xtreme's. They do there job better than any of my previous earphones and i will continue to wear them until they finally give up on me, which i suspect will be a while from now. Thanks for reading, all the best.

Ottima !

For bass lovers who crave equally pure mids and highs.Excellent product from JVC.
An audiophile since music first entered my ears, these earphones are by far the best in its class which provide mind-numbing zero distortion lows(bass),and crystal clear mids and highs. Not cracking at full volume and extremely comfortable even for long hours of use. Looks like a hefty beast and performs like one too. A bit overpriced on Amazon, but great packaging and authentic product.

Precio y calidad insuperables.
