High quality desk or home cycle - ideal for folks rehabbing from knee or leg injuries
I couldn’t be more impressed with the DeskCycle 2. From the moment I opened the box, it was clear this is a high-quality piece of equipment. The materials feel durable and well-built—not flimsy like many other under-desk bikes I’ve tried or researched. It has a solid, stable base that stays in place during use, which is especially important if you’re using it regularly or for longer sessions. Assembly was incredibly straightforward. The instructions were clear, all the parts were well-labeled, and I had it fully set up in just a few minutes without any frustration. You don’t need to be particularly handy to get this up and running. Where this really stands out is for physical rehabilitation. I’m using it as part of a structured recovery routine, and it has been excellent for controlled, low-impact movement. The pedal motion is smooth and quiet, which makes it easy to use multiple times a day—even while working at a desk or watching TV. The adjustable resistance allows for gradual progression, which is critical for safely rebuilding strength and range of motion. A major advantage is the shorter crank arms, which require less bend at the knee—making it much more accessible and comfortable for anyone dealing with limited range of motion during recovery. If you’re looking for a dependable, well-made desk cycle—especially for rehab or consistent daily use—this is absolutely worth the investment. It delivers on quality, ease of use, and performance. While it is not a full scale recumbent exercise bike it operates as smoothly as my recumbent bike costing ten times the cost of the Desk Cycle 2.

Silent, smooth action, perfect for knee rehab
I have previously owned and used the original DeskCycle, and I liked it a lot, but ultimately replaced it with a Magnetrainer (taller version, longer cranks, same company, I owned one before and gave it to a friend), a recumbent and a rotating line of cheaper mini and full-sized exercise bikes. I'm back to needing some rehab, so I needed a smaller crank rotation, and this time I got the DeskCycle 2 so I could try the 1" lower pedal adjustment. I'm a lot fitter than I was 2 years ago, but I can easily get my heart rate up to where I need it to be without raising the resistance much. Would this be an amazing workout for a bike racer or mountain bike rider? Probably not, but honestly it's good for most people to get some real exercise, and if you use it at a slower speed to keep your legs moving, it'll work for you. It's worth mentioning that my prior experience with the manufacturer's support is that it's very good. Not only are they helpful, they seem to really know the product and seem to care about making customers satisfied. They were helpful this time, answering my questions about the differences between the DeskCycle and the DeskCycle 2. I'm loving the DeskCycle 2 so far. It's extremely quiet, the action is extremely smooth, and it turns out I really like the lower position as it's more comfortable to use with my knee issues. Read a book on your Kindle, and the time pedaling goes by without noticing. I use my DeskCycle 2 on a hardwood floor, and not only does it not move while pedaling, it's very difficult to move further away when pushing it away with your feet. I imagine at high resistance it may move away, but I can only use it at lower resistances. I figure my calorie burn by heart rate, age, weight, etc, so I don't mess with the online calorie counter. Basically I don't need the monitor at all - my phone can time my rides, and my heart rate monitor tells me when to speed up or slow down. But I still enjoy checking the numbers, so I'm happy that the monitor comes off and lets me put it where I find it most useful. The online calorie calculator is very low compared to what literally every calculator and heart rate monitor I own reports, but it does show some other interesting data. I will continue to log my calories burned at MFP using other means. Not a problem. Regarding a few of the negative reviews, I'm puzzled. The people who got a used return from Amazon, why didn't they exchange it? Amazon is great with returns and exchanges, and it makes no sense to give the product a lower review because someone at Amazon messed up. Some of the people who say this is noisy may have put the pedals on wrong, but I keep wondering why they don't just contact customer service to have the issue fixed rather than feeling done to, keeping a bike they're not happy with and writing a negative review. Nothing is perfect, no matter how much you spend - sometimes parts have issues, but this bike has a warranty and good customer service. I've owned 4 mini bikes from 3D Innovations, and every one was very quiet. If you're like me - rehabbing your knees and ankles, and needing a smaller range of motion - or if you want to use an exercise bike under your desk or while watching TV, in my opinion, the DeskCycle 2 is a great option. If you don't need the pedals to be at their very lowest setting, you can save a few bucks by getting the DeskCycle, but I'm glad I got the version 2. For my needs - and I realize everyone has different needs - the DeskCycle 2 is the best of the many underdesk, folding, recumbent and upright exercise bikes I've owned. It's on the heavy side, but that helps keep it from sliding on the floor. I'm happy I got this, and my knees thank me ;-)

100% Satisfied and HAPPY With my purchase!! AMAZING product
I was hesitant to get this product as I'd had a cheap version of this years ago and it didn't go well. Well let me tell you, they have come a long way since then and this product is amazing! I wish I'd looked this up sooner. It is well worth the $200 price tag. Solid and sturdy quality similar to what you'd find at a gym. It is also easy to assemble. You a total of 6 major pieces to put together. Tool and screws come with it. And it is so quiet, no noise at all. I actually did a client interview while using it (On tension 1) for 30 minutes and it gave me a good workout while at the same time not disrupting my flow. In fact, I find myself organically putting my feet into the pedal straps and pedaling while I'm at my desk. After a while I forget that I'm pedaling and I'm just focused on my work. A word of caution to Diabetics, this thing WILL give you a *true* cardio work out and will lower your blood sugar like crazy. Be sure to keep something sweet nearby, incase you get too low on this thing. This is perfect for the home office or the office at your company. It's portable, but it's a bit heavey, not too heavy to transport it to the living room LaZBoy or couch, but you probably won't be doing that too often. Anyway, check this out: At the time of this writing 30.Nov.2021- Amazon has these deals that let you get this thing for $75. So I went to buy this product a few days ago on and it said that if I signed up for an Amazon credit card (with no annual fee) then Amazon will give me a $100 gift card off this product, making it only $99. Then the seller had an additional coupon that knocked off an additional 24 dollars, so in total I only had to pay $75. Isn't that wild? I can't wait to see how my health looks 6 months from now. I know I'm going to shed some of this weight and baggage and look and feel so much better....gonna look so good like movie star! lol Update 12/8/2022 - I have lost 60 lbs and have been able to get off all but 1 medication since using this cycle daily for at least 45 minutes to an hour AND dieting , i.e. carefully tracking my calorie consumption. This is a really high quality item!

Don't cancel your gym membership.
First this is a well made and sturdy exerciser. It does have some weight to it which adds to it's stability during use. It uses magnetic resistance to increase pedaling effort which works well. It does not replace a stationary bike nor is it intended to. You must keep you feet parallel to the floor to keep your heals from hitting the floor when using so sitting position is important. The pedals are very low to the ground for under desk clearance. It is whisper quiet and smooth. It comes with a cheap velcro strap to attach it to your rolling chair to keep it from rolling back while pedaling. Since sitting is the new smoking I think keeping your legs moving is better than just sitting all day Just don't expect it to replace a good workout just a reasonable addition to your exercise routine. (IMPORTANT: the instructions are incorrect The right pedal tightens clockwise and the left tightens counter clockwise. Care should be taken when starting the threads as to not cross thread them. Keep moving America.)

DeskCycle 2 isn't so bad, but the Ellipse is better.
It's not bad, but the batteries (green ones) came smashed like a sad jolly rancher. Thankfully I have spare AAs to test it out. One thing I forgot to mention about both the DeskCycle 2 and the Ellipse is the option to use the Display stand for your desk. Do it! It works great and serves as a reminder on your desk to keep motivated. I guess, if the Ellipse is way out of your budget and you can settle for a lesser model, get the DeskCycle 2. Just know that you'll have to strap your feet every time you want to go. --- I left a review for both on the Ellipse model too, here's what I said: You know the saying, "quality over quantity?" It really shows with this Ellipse model. Please, don't wait any longer and get this one! Why? Oh, still not convinced? You want me to explain further? Ok then, no problem, read up! :) Look, I tried the original DeskCycle in 2018 and it...was okay but I returned it after a day. I purchased the DeskCycle 2 and the Ellipse at the same time and from ease of assembly, and trash/recyclables from packaging, Ellipse is the way to go. The Ellipse requires you to fit the foot board on one side, flip it over, screw, flip back, then do the same to the other foot board. Done. The DeskCycle 2 requires you to assemble both the front and back leg stands as well as the foot pedals onto the machine. You could probably assemble 10 DeskCycle Ellipse models in the time you finish 1 DeskCycle 2. So, yeah, it's easy to assemble. Yeah but it's pricy right? Sure, but remember "QUALITY over quantity?" This is a very smart piece of engineering, thoughtfully planned out without the potential IKEA assembly stress. For quality control, the machine is set to 8, the highest resistance, so be sure to read the instructions thoroughly and crank it down to 1 before trying. Both machines worked great for my chair with wheels, but I'm also not on carpet so maybe it's a different story for that. There's zero noise level from both models. Seriously. You could hypothetically take it to a public library and it wouldn't disturb others - you still might get looks. Again, hypothetical. I have returned the DeskCycle 2 and purchased another Ellipse for myself as the first Ellipse was a gift. If it helps, the person typically favored the recumbent bike at the gym when we used to go, while I preferred the elliptical. We both 100% enjoy the Ellipse more the the DeskCycle 2. You don't have to strap in everytime, as you do with DeskCycle 2. With Ellipse, you just go, and you can adjust your foot placement for motion type! Oh, one more thing, the pedals can be secured if you want to lug it around or use it as a free weight hahaha. This is probably my favorite Amazon purchase of the year.

Good and effective design
I have been using the Desk Cycle for a few days and already have very favorable opinion. I bought it to rehab a leg and knee injury. The assembly is easy, the instructions are clear and they even include a wrench. The tension is easily adjustable. I keep it on the lowest setting as I am interested in movement rather than effort at this time. There is a wired electronic display that shows speed, RPM, estimated distance, time spent and calories. The display can rest on the cycle or on the table with the included cord. On low effort settings one can easily work or read. You can crank it up if you want a work-out. The pedals have velcro fastened foot retainers. If you are in a hurry you can just step on them as they are quite pliant. (Instructions provided if you want to remove them) The cycle is stable and stays put as you use it. Missing is a bluetooth connection to a smart phone. I believe they had an attachment that is no longer sold. No problem really, as the read-out they supply is fine. The operation is smooth and very quiet. You can easily converse or listen to something as you operate the cycle. It is reasonably portable. I think it is a good choice for therapy and for exercise. Might get another one for the office....

Expensive but worth it!
I've tried many ideas for my work station and all have been distracting or loud or awkward or all three! This is very natural to use. I find it also takes a lot of pressure off my back and even a nice way to just vary your leg positions when not actively pedaling. I got it mainly to make sure I keep good circulation in my legs when sitting for hours, but I'm actually getting some good hard pedaling in. It doesn't move around and works well under my desk. Seems high quality and like it will last. I had a question and the seller responded right away.

Color Me Impressed
I owned something similar a long time ago and thought it was a piece of junk. I never thought I'd ever try out this piece of equipment again, but only got curious at giving it another shot after watching a YT video on NEAT. (I also tend to spend a lot of time at my desk and can't fit in traditional exercise. The other half of my time is spent cleaning). This piece of equipment runs smoothly and quietly. It doesn't take up too much space, so I really love that. I actually feel like I'm getting a workout using it. The instructions are clear and it's easy to put together. This is even better than the stationary bike I used to own, which I hated because it put a lot of pressure on my bottom. If you want something to keep you active while lounging around or working at your desk, this is the perfect solution. Oddly enough, the YouTuber said that light cycling produced better cognitive improvements than sitting, standing OR walking. Go figure! I would have guessed walking would beat out all the rest, but I would be wrong.

Perfect cycle, worth the price
Been looking for this product now for a while. I had originally gotten this cheap exercise bike and of course the seat hurt SO MUCH that I began only using the pedals, going backwards, sitting on a chair. So that worked, until the pedals kept coming off. By a month of daily use and daily screwing the pedals back in, the threading was so bad I had to screw it in every five minutes. I thought, okay this might be a problem with all "at home" exercise equipment. BUT THEN, I found this awesome cycle. NO threading issues, no screwing anything in except for the very first time when I put it together. No sliding on the floor even when I'm using it. It just does what it's supposed to do. The calorie counter and speedometer work great. The cycling is SUPER QUIET. The only issue I even have is maybe a tiny one - there's a big difference between level 1 and level 2, it feels like quite a sharp increase for one little increment. But that's literally it, my one and only tiny complaint. I would recommend this cycle to anyone.
