I'm on city water and it's pretty awful. I can only drink it when it's cold so I keep a water machine that I just refill the 5 gallon jug with water from my sink. I do this because I'm trying to be more eco-minded these days. I'm a diabetic and I drink around 2 gallons of water a day. I don't want to buy bottled water that generates so much plastic waste. I've looked at several types of water filters. I'm a renter so I didn't want something I'd have to drill a hole for or mount under the sink. When I drink my water it always leaves me with cotton mouth. I hate that feeling. But for my health I must drink as much water as I can. When I saw the ad for this Oemiry and read about the features I decided to give it a chance. I was skeptical that it could really remove all the crapola in my water with just a single filter. Well I am no longer skeptical. Installation was so easy. I had it installed in less than 5 minutes. All the adapters I needed were included. The washers were fresh and pliable. None of the fittings or the super bendy spout leak. I ran the filter for a few minutes like the instructions. I should mention that if you have really great water pressure like I do then be careful how high you turn your faucet on. The spout on the filter will shoot out water over 2 feet away. Ask me how i know that?...lol. Normally when I do anything with my water it smells like a swimming pool and is anything but crystal clear. I filled a glass with the water from the filter and held it up to the light to see if I could see if it was cloudy as it usually is. The water was crystal clear. I have a swimming pool water test kit and had it at the ready to test to see if the chlorine was diminished. According to my test there was zero chlorine left in my water. So it was time to see how the water tasted. It tasted good. No it tasted great! Gone was the gross taste of chlorine and other chemicals. Even at the warmish temperature my water comes out of the faucet it tasted as good as any bottled water I've ever had. So I grabbed the 5 gallon jug out of my water machine and dumped out the unfiltered water and filled it with the filtered water. That required some feats of physics to hold the jug up as it got heavy but I was determined. After my water machine had a few minutes to heat the hot water reservoir I grabbed my favorite k-cups and made coffee and cappuccino. The flavor was worlds apart. Gone was the bitter taste my city water usually made my coffee taste like. My cappuccino was smooth and tasty. Before I did all this I checked out how hard it was to change out the cartridge. While it takes a bit of strength to unscrew and screw back in the cover for the cartridge I feel it wasn't too difficult. The wrench is strong and well made so I don't see it ever breaking. I love that there are suction cups on the bottom of the base so that the housing stays where I put it. The housing is pretty large so I couldn't put in on the back of my sink. So it's sitting on the side of the sink but I don't mind it there. I live in a tiny home so for anything to be allowed to take up space on my less than 4 feet of counterspace it has to be something I use a lot. This filter is more than welcome to take up any space it wants because I can now drink my water without getting cotton mouth all the time. I am also happy that I can fill my dogs' water dishes with clean healthy water. I will also be using the filter to water my large collection of plants. I am very impressed with the overall quality of everything pertaining to this water filter. I looked up the replacement cartridge for this unit and it's currently $30 bucks. If the cartridge lasts me 9 months that's only $3.33 a month for safe, clean water for my whole household. That's barely more than the cost of buying a bottle of water at the convenience store. In my book that's a great bargain. I am so happy with this Oemiry filter. I would give it 10 stars if I could. This one gets a very definite yes from me.

Awesome countertop water filtration system that works well and makes my Texas water taste like bottled water.Awesome quality and works break. installation was a breeze as it just needed to screwed into my existing fauet.

The hardest part about setting this up had nothing to do with the unit but all about getting my existing faucet's aerator head off the faucet so I could attach this one. Once that was done, this was set up in under 10 minutes. The suction cups secure this to the countertop really well. I wish the angle of the filtered water spout could be adjusted because the lip around my sink prevents this from being close enough to the basin so any dribbles require clean up. And since this thing doesn't have a fast on/off effect...the water trickles for a while once you shut it off...this is going to get a bit annoying. I might have to fab up a way for this to sit up higher so it can sit up on that lip a bit so the dribbles go into the sink. I love that I don't have to run out to the store to fill 5 gallon buckets anymore but I hope the annoyance of this issue doesn't trade out one annoyance for another. Only time will tell.The water did run black at first as the manual warned but it quickly turned clear as all the charcoal was thoroughly wetted in the filter. The water tastes neutral/clean and it works as expected.The only thing I really don't like about this is the swivel faucet head doesn't stay in position so it isn't as effective at spraying around the sink as I would have liked. Unless I'm holding/supporting it at an angle, it will fall down. This is't a huge deal except that it would look more aesthetically pleasing to have the entire faucet pushed to the side to hide the tubing and let the regular faucet head arc water into the center of the sink. I can't do that with this loose connection point. I didn't see a way to tighten but I'll explore that further.

It's easy to hook up and to use and I wish I had known about this sooner.The taste is good and I feel that I'm providing better water for my family without having to use my distiller and remineralizing the water like I used to do.
