This grinder is very smooth when grinding beans, and isn't overly loud or squeaky like some cheaper grinders. The build feels sturdy enough. Does a good coarse grind for my French press.

I am impressed by the quality of the materials and craftsmanship of this coffee grinder. Setting the grind size is straightforward but definitely requires trial and error depending on the beans and the brew style. It gives very consistent grind sizes and it functions smoothly and quietly. It took me about 10 minutes to make enough for a double espresso shot. I do wish this had a way to grind beans faster, like a second gear. It's like peddling a bike on first gear all the time. I also find it difficult to scoop grounds out of the container, and the finer grounds tend too stick to the metallic surface. So I wish the diameter was maybe an inch or more wider for scooping and cleaning. I think if there were a way to speed up the grinding process with a slightly wider container/base, then this would be a 5 star review.

My first reaction was how small this is, but it's a great product and should last a very long time. It's actually helped me cut down on waste resulting in actual coffee consumed.

Works smooth but can't fit 40g in the main body or the container :(
