**Q: Is the boiler vessel vacuum insulated, like a thermos, or is it insulated with with foam or some other insulation material?**
A: It’s vacuum insulated.

**Q: do you offer glass collection bottle for this unit?**
A: NO

**Q: Does the water come into contact with the aluminium?**
A: Um...well the water is originally in the reservoir, then the unit heats up. The distilled water drips/ passes through the aluminum or steel (I am not sure what it is) nozzle into the gallon jug. So yes, it is for second in contact with metal of some sort as it drips out of the unit.

**Q: Is the plastic container food grade?**
A: I use it to catch the water but then I switch my water over into a glass jug for storage personally. My water is not in it more than an hour or so typically.

There have been some very minor improvements including (1) better lid to tank seal, and (2) an LED on/off indicating light.  Performance is as has been in the past, excellent.  The only suggestion would be to design a different style of heat shut off fuse that would be readably accessible and make such a part available.  No one does this, hence a possible innovation for the better.

We have appliances like steamers, humidifiers, and steam irons that would rapidly become damaged by our water, which contains a lot of minerals (hard water). Buying distilled water, that has no minerals, is expensive. This machine quickly produces distilled water, and it is easy to clean the scale (i.e., minerals) from the boiling chamber.
