LEGO City Advent Calendar 2024, Countdown to Christmas Set, Toy for 5 Plus Year Old Boys & Girls, with 24 Surprises for Kids, Fun Characters Include Santa and Mrs. Claus Minifigures 60436

Bought this set very cheaply (due to warehouse reduction, all contents unopened, box only a little bashed), it's for a gift; well actually an Easter Hunt. Bought due to the quantity of characters which the recipient loves the people and can cost several pounds each, in this set there are several people which would cost more than I paid; plus the pets, baby and all the other pieces. I will use the characters as part of the Easter Hunt and then the rest of the set for building afterwards.

I treat myself to the Lego city advent calendar most years so that I can use parts in my winter village display. I've got to admit that it's only really the mini figures I'm interested. The winter jumpers are good quality prints and fit right in with the theme. The mini builds are a little simple at times but offer good variety and a little bit of festive fun each day of advent. I did find that sometimes the door opening was tricky because sets had fallen into the wrong section. I'm also surprised that Lego still use plastic bags for these when their main sets have moved to paper bags.

I never thought I would be the type of parent who spent loads on an advent calendar- infact I scoffed at the idea but after a particularly hard year, I wanted to give my seven year old a festive treat. His excitement to get up every morning and check what was behind the door to build or add to the scene was totally worth it. Is is expensive? A bit. Does it bring a bit of innocent joy? Yes! He loves lego, he loves christmas and so it was a winner. We keep all the pieces in a box, and get them out every year so it has longevity too. I am now that kind of parent and I am not mad about it.

Kids love these. No instructions for building them but they are fun to try and figure out which I think adds to the play time. Will definitely be getting it again next year for the kids.

Wife likes Lego and this is different from the usual chocolate

I bought this lego advent calendar for my 6 year old grandson. As you can imagine he was delighted today on the 1st of December to open the first door. He was really pleased with the first lego surprise. I can highly recommend this product. Its so good that he was unable to contain himself and opened all 24 doors. I put this down to the high quality of the product, and the whole excitement of Christmas scenario. So his 24 days of surprises lasted for at least half an hour. I will definitely buy one for him next year and hopefully he can last longer than the first day

The ‘doors’ to the days on the Advent Calendar do not open, we have to rip them open which completely ruins the box. Really not worth the money paid.

As a mum to a big Lego fan, this did not disappoint! Great quality advent calendar and my son was very excited every morning to find out what was behind each door. I feel it is value for money as it is lego and my son was over the moon.

Der Lieblingsadventskalender meines Enkelsohns. Er wartet jedes Jahr dringend auf ihn. Sehr schön ist, dass es keine doppelten Figuren vom Vorjahr gibt. Allerdings verstehe ich nicht, warum die Kalender der Vorjahre wesentlich teurer sind als die aktuellen Kalender.

So glad to pick this up, it's a great set. I will be good and wait until Christmas to open it.
