can it record from virgin boxes

Hi I don't know , all I will say is that my Panasonic DVD recorder was a nightmare , I like Panasonic products but not these DVD recorders . I now have a Virgin Tivo box which is much better.

Can I delete a recording

Yes Click right button on control, go down to delete .It should then pull up all you have recorded and on the arrow move to the one which you want to delete. You then click yes and wait forit to delete ,and see your record time change to give you space. One thing I found if the programme is first on the record list you will not be able to use that space as on a Video type.It is not flexible and while deleting any it only records on the end space available.

Can I record onto a blank dvd from my Sony camcorder? Is so what are the connections

Yes, you can record on this DVD from a camcorder. I recorded my holiday videos by the RCA( Red, White and Yellow) leads connected from my camcorder to my dvd. Now, I connected these three leads to the front of the Dvd recorder AV3(I flipped open a protection flap covering the three holes for the pins of the RCA leads to go in.). Most of the flap, is on the left side of the DVD recorder. But, you can connect your camcorder to the DVD recorder at the back AV2, as well.
