What is this used for?

I use Buscopan during bad episodes of Diverticulitis and also for a few days once a month for severe Period pain as well as, within just 15 to 20 minutes, it really does work whereas all the usual forms of Pain Relief tend to barely even touch the pain or make any difference at all. I'd much rather take around 4 to 5 of these a day (I find I rarely ever need to take 2 at a time even though you can) than take 8 Paracetamol AND a couple of Ibuprofen a day and still be in pain.

Is this available as sugar free. How much sugar do they contain?

Tablets Each round, white, sugar-coated tablet contains hyoscine butylbromide 10 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: acacia, carnauba wax, castor oil, lactose, magnesium stearate, maize starch, polyethylene glycol, shellac, sucrose, talc, tartaric acid, titanium dioxide, and white wax.

I will like to know the expiry date if is possible please.

Every box will be different. It will depend on when they were manufactured. If they were out of date, pretty sure they wouldn’t harm you, they may not work as well though.

What are the full ingredients?

As per the enclosed leaflet:Each tablet contains 10 mg of the active ingredient hyoscine butylbromide. The other ingredients are : calcium hydrogen phosphate, maize starch, soluble starch, colloidal silica, tartaric acid, stearic acid, sucrose, talc, acaciatitanium dioxide, macrogol 6000, carnauba wax, white beeswax and providone.
