This is the one you want for a PS5 Pro
I picked one of these up for my PS5 Pro to pair with a WD Black SN850 I grabbed right before SSD prices shot up. I really like that this replaces the stock cover entirely. It screws directly onto the SSD, makes solid contact, and the fin design actually takes advantage of the airflow that already passes through that area from the PS5 Pro’s main fan. The result is noticeably better cooling without adding any bulk or noise. Overall, this was a great buy. It works exactly the way it should, feels premium, and gives me more confidence in the long‑term temps of my drive.

This fits the PS5 Pro perfectly without modification.
I bought this a while back, and I was concerned about the fan part not fitting the PS5 pro. I can confirm that the issue of it not fitting the PS5 pro is no longer an issue. I didn't have to modify anything. It came out of the box ready to install. I will say this, though. If you have an ssd with a heatsink already attached to it, you'll need to remove it before installing this heatsink to your PS5 pro. Works like a charm, looks good and great value. I believe I saw this same heatsink on newegg for $66.

Works great with the PS5 Pro
I wasn't certain if this would work in the Pro as there were no reviews and no details that it would work. I rolled the dice and it works great. The install process is the same as the Slim and the heatsink fits within the Pro's m.2 cavity perfectly. The included securement screw didn't line up as expected, so I used the one already attached to the Pro and it worked fine. I was able to verify that the 1mm pad made good contact between the drive and the heatsink. The heatsink feels well made and seems like a quality product. I also generally like the look once installed. I purchased at $20 and at that price, I feel it's a good value for the Pro.

Nice Quality!!!
I liked how it looks and it seems to be working as the fan is not spinning nearly as fast or as loud as it was prior to the installation. I cleaned it about a week before the installation as well as during the installation. It fit well but the insulation was quite troublesome if not for the video on the actual products page. If you're just trying to use the instructions for the installation, it can be quite confusing and difficult. Quality felt great and the only issue I had was installation prior to realizing there was a video on the page of the product.

Great heat sink but installation varies based on SSD.
I tried to install it as per the instructions and the heat sink would not sit flush with the PS5. So, I got rid of the SSD mount and the screws and use the one that came with the PS5. Secondly, used the 1.5 mm thermal pad(gray) instead of the 1.0 mm as advertised in various YouTube and installation videos. This time the heat sink sat flush and also made good contact with the thermal pad. I saw the square chip marks on the thermal pad after I checked by lifting the heat sink. Before it was barely touching the thermal pad. I am using a Samsung EVO 4 TB NVME SSD. So, experiment based on the SSD you have. Apparently, they all vary in thickness slightly that could throw the installation off. I wish I had a Flir camera to see if the heat sink gets hot after use, so I know the heat is being transferred and the fan is sucking the heat in. But I don't so I guess I will hope for the best.

A genuine Must have to keep your PS5/Pro moving with no Hick-ups.
A must and should have a novice to semi experienced had to install to a heatsink-less Ssd or one with a mild one to get essentially double the benifit. If u know how to break down a PS3/4/5 to clean and or update the Thermal pads ull be fine.

The elecgear does so happen to fit. And fit perfectly with no difficulties at all
I read a review. Someone stating that it doesn't fit properly because it doesn't line up. That's just not the case. Not only does it fit properly. But it does what it says it does. Now the old elecgear for the day 1 PS5. Does not work with the pro. But this one does. There are inaccuracies on what people are saying. Take my word for it. I'm an efficionado when it comes to tech and gaming and all around audio file. I highly recommend this heatsink for anyone who owns the PS5 pro. 🤘

Does the job, but I have had same performance with cheaper heatsinks
I struggled to find some meaty heatsinks that would fit the PS5 slim and did have to return some that promised but did not deliver. This one did the job perfectly. However, full disclosure – I ran the SSD for 6 months without any heatsink (not recommended) before this and I cannot tell the difference since fitting it. Furthermore, I fitted 2x £3.50 heat sinks in friends PS5 slims (twin pack for £7), we all have the same SSDs and there doesn’t seem to be any performance difference, so maybe don’t feel like you have to blow big bucks on a heatsink. It is an expensive part, but I don’t have any regrets buying it. A few pieces of advice if you do get this: 1. Follow the video that is posted with the Amazon page description and provided by the seller. It is very much step by step. 2. The screwdriver supplied has a protective cap which can be disposed of, but there is also a small plastic washer behind this cap – don’t throw this out as it is needed (though not strictly necessary) to clamp down the heatsink that replaces the metal SSD cover. 3. I would recommend leaving the plastic film on the thermal pads for the base plate…bear with me…. Pop in the base plate and the thickest thermal pad. If the SSD doesn’t easily lie flat (to the riser post), go to the next thinner pad until you feel a little resistance to get it to go flat. This way, you know you will have good thermal contact. I had the thicker grey one at the bottom and blue on top. This may vary between models. When you find the right one, start the procedure….and remember to remove the film when needed! 4. For some reason the grey thermal pads are sectioned into squares, peeling the first film layer to put it into place was fine, but when you remove the next layer from end to end, the squares start lifting. I found that using tweezers and peeling one corner and working along the longer edge made it a little less likely to lift the pads. Why it wasn’t one strip was beyond me. 5. The tiny pink thermal pad is designed to sit inside a little indentation of the main heatsink, check they line up before clamping down. 6. You are not told to, but you will need to remove 2 fan screws to fix the last heatsink (torx screwdriver provided). Make sure you keep them in the right order as they are different sizes (on my model they were). 7. There is a pouch of thermal grease to be used at the end (heatsink to fan). If by chance you are left with the thinnest thermal pads, you can use these for a lot less mess. This is where being in squares does help as you can place them in an arc to fit the shape of the heatsink. It didn’t take too long to do this and with the exception of tweezers (helpful, but not necessary), all the parts and tools you need are supplied. The heat sink really looks the part and as it acts as the SSD cover, you get the dust protection whilst also getting air circulating over it (as opposed to being trapped inside the coffin of the SSD slot). Does it work – yes and fits perfectly. Is it good value for money – £ for £ compared to the cheaper ones I fitted – no Does it look the part – heck yes, but you won’t see it :D
