Dersie Tallow Sunscreen SPF 30 – Mineral UV Defense with Non-Nano Zinc Oxide – Face & Body Sun Protection for Adults & Kids (2.12 Ounce (Pack of 1))

After trying out a few different mineral sunscreens, this is the one I finally found to be the best for my use and skin tone/skin concerns. I have combination skin. T-zone oily and normal elsewhere. Acne-prone. Light-medium skin tone, so mineral sunscreen's white cast shows enough to care. I was never good at applying sunscreen daily in my 20s. After turning 30, I noticed sunspots surfacing and some skin changes, and it encouraged me to adjust and start my age-appropriate skincare routine. I wanted mineral sunscreen for my face because chemical sunscreen (even some of the best-selling Korean/Japanese lines I used to like) tends to burn on my sensitive skin, and I like knowing it's considered safer for my endocrine health. I have tried: Blue Lizard Sensitive Skin(I like it for outdoor days; a little too heavy feeling for daily wear), CeraVe Invisible Mineral Sunscreen(love that it's really invisible but burns on my skin and causes irritation for me), Sky & Sol Tarrow Mineral Sunscreen(my initial favorite and first tarrow product, was a little oily, enough to try to look for something else), Shiseido Mineral Sunscreen( loved it for it's low white cast formula, just a little expensive). I think I tried a couple more but I can't remember at the moment. What i like about this sunscreen is that it applies like a hydrating moisturizer that's not too heavy. It goes on white at first, but after rubbing in, for my almost medium skin tone, it is invisible. Sometimes, though, depending on what I put underneath, it lightly piles. But it's manageable. I usually apply first thing in the morning as a moisturizer, reapply mid-morning, and apply once again in the afternoon.( i don't wear make up) Each time goes on just fine without piling on the last layer or making it feel heavier. Also I was skeptical at first of its efficacy because on the bottle it doesn't say SPF 50 anywhere. I wondered if this type of more natural?/private brand product wouldn't be as effective as other major brand one that are more strictly regulated. I live in Southern California and I've used this sunscreen since April 2026 to now end of July 2026. It has worked perfectly on preventing sunburn/skin tone darkening. I'm outside often throughout the day everyday with my toddler. My darkspots started to fade because of my skin care routine(Vit C, Azelaic Acid, LRP B5 cream at night) + daily sunscreen use. I repurchased this SPF50 version again.

When the beef tallow sunscreen trend blew up, I was intrigued. I swapped my regular SPF for one of these natural products containing zinc oxide to see if the hype was real. First off, it feels amazing on the skin—super rich and moisturizing. It absorbed better than I expected and actually left my skin feeling hydrated instead of dry, which is a major win for mineral sunscreens. The lack of harsh chemicals and the simple ingredient list made me feel better about putting it on my body. It didn't leave an obvious white cast either, as long as I rubbed it in well. The scent is totally fine—not beefy at all. It just smells faintly natural, maybe lightly of the beeswax or coconut oil used as binders, which is great. The big thing to know is that dermatologists stress that beef tallow alone offers virtually zero UV protection. The SPF comes only from the added non-nano zinc oxide. So, you have to be sure you are getting a properly formulated product with a legitimate SPF rating. Assuming you use a quality, tested brand, it's a great, nourishing, and effective alternative to conventional sunscreens. Just ensure you are buying a product with tested sun filters.

I love this sunscreen. It is moisturizing and not greasy. I use a tallow face cream and love it so much I decided to try this. Tallow products have really changed my skin for the better. They are completely different from plant based and you must try them to experience for yourself. This product melts into your skin and your face feels like moisturized skin like a face cream......not sunscreen. I wish it came in SPF 50.

I only used a small amount on myself and on 2 children. We were outside walking around the zoo for several hours in hot sun. Nobody even got slightly burned. It works so very well! I will absolutely be ordering it again!

I'm not sure if it works in the Florida sun on the beach. Maybe we didn't apply it frequently enough or it's not water proof, because we still got burned, even during morning hours before the UV index was high. I gave it 4 stars because it was creamy, light, and easy to blend and felt moisturising. The smell was gentle and natural. I like that it has all natural ingredients. I will continue to try it over the summer and apply more frequently to see if works. There might be a trick to the timing of application.

The consistency of this tallow is great. Easy to put on and not greasy like some. I noticed it have my skin a whitish tone. I liked it because it gave my complexion an even glow. If it’s too light for you, you could add a couple drops of bronzing gel and mix. Since i have started using this I’ve seen a nice improvement in my skin and have received compliments. I’d buy this again .

Do not buy! I bought this and used on my kids and they both fried. I think it would have been better to use no sunscreen at all than this. I pretty sure it attracted the sun to them like an oil. I have one kid that never burns and he burned bad and I have one kid with very fair skin that burns easily and even with applying this every 2 hours she got the worse burn she has ever had. Legs and feet swollen, severe pain, awful. Be very careful if you buy this.

Went on vacation to Mexico and used this sunscreen... I'm not big on spending hours tanning, but I was in the pool and walking around a lot, did not burn! Almost didn't buy it because another review stated it's too fragrant, I'm normally pretty picky about scents, but I didn't mind this one. I think it's just from the raspberry oil. Spreads easy, no casting, didn't feel too oily compared to other natural sunscreens I've tried (or made) before.

This is by far the best sunscreen I have ever used. Very creamy and easy to apply. It blends into the skin easily not leaving much white residue. Best of all is lasts nearly all day, even in the water.

What a beautiful product, absorbs well, feels great! It still allows me to slowly tan! Love it. A little goes a long way!
