Works great! Strong if used correctly. I am naturally dark ash blonde and have been experimenting with dying my hair platinum at home. I have mostly got it down with just a few tweaks. I have been using T18 to tone the roots for the past few sessions and it works great! At first, I felt like it wasn't working that great or my hair wasn't accepting it too well. After research, I figured out what I was doing wrong. After my bleaching session, I would use a conditioner, so I think that was blocking the T18. So the next session, I did not use conditioner after my bleaching session and I only used a vol 10 developer (instead of 20) and my hair turned a beautiful ashy platinum. Still very pretty but I was going more for snow white. I left it on longer than I should have b/c I thought my hair was resistant, so it was totally my fault. Next, I am just going to leave it on for less time and/or mix with another toner.

Finally after 6 months of bleaching gently my hair to get out all the years of box dye I finally today achieved a white blonde so I can go naturally grey. This will ONLY tone the brass down not turn you white. I used it every time I bleached so I was not so orange. Each time it made it more of a strawberry blonde, then a light blonde, then a butter blonde etc. it burns scalp so try keep off scalp , not horrible tho I go numb after a few minutes lol. It smells bad when doing it but after it smells very nice. No lingering bad smells. I used 10 volume the first 3 bleaches them 20 volume for the last 3. I went slow to protect my hair and get rid of years of box dye slowly , mostly black and red dyes

My ash blonde extensions were looking a bit yellow. My hairstylist suggested I tone them with T18 & developer 20. It worked great! Very easy to use. I am very pleased.

This was beautiful! My friend did my hair and I chose this as my toner. Turned out so pretty. Perfect color ashy blonde. 😍 and we know nothing about bleaching hair aside from YouTube videos.

This toner worked MIRACLES on my hair!! I will forever stand by this. Since my hair was already light I mixed T18 with two parts 10 volume developer, saturated my head as fast as I could focusing on the yellow roots, and left it on for 10-13 additional minutes. Since my hair is super damaged and the test strand looked good, I didn't leave it on longer. If you have healthy hair or more yellow tones, I would leave it on longer. Darker hair may need 20 vol or higher. Also, if you have orange tones you need a blue based toner, not this purple one! Edit: I tried 20 vol developer and leaving it on for 20 minutes the second time. It turned out super light and ash grayish blonde. I loved the lift but not the color. It lasted 3 more washes than the first time. Experiment with developer, toner color and time to find what works for you! I'm gonna try t11 and see what happens.

This is an amazing toner. I’d like to mix it with the T 11 as well. You have to do a one to two product. So 1 part product and 2 part developer. It is super easy to use in. The only downfall is the smell. But if you’ve ever had your hair done, you know that getting your hair colored is not the prettiest scent. However, it does leave your hair, smooth and shiny. Try to follow the directions on the box and only leave it on for about 20 minutes. It may look a little dark at first, but once you go through your wash and sometimes even your first wash, you’ll see that the other color pops through and it’s not as dark. I recommend using it with the Wella developer topping it off with the shampoo and conditioner. I may be biased by. I absolutely loved this brand and it has been a lifesaver as well as a money saver for me. I think you will really enjoy the fact that you can do your own color at home. you can also ask your color next time you get your hair done what color she uses and then you can buy it for yourself and pay attention to how she does it. There really is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to do your own color unless you’re getting extravagant highlights or low lights. I’m a firm believer that if somebody else can do it. Besides there are plenty of YouTube videos out there that can teach you how to color your own hair. I digress. Needless to say this is an amazing toner.
