I bought these 8 months ago. I got them on the shoe and they seemed to work fine until today it just broke in two spots at the top and bottom of the lace area. My original laces on my Salomon shoes lasted a very long time... many many years. These laces lasted months. Very disappointed. Can't recommend.

Works really well, arguably better than the original laces... but I'm not a fan of the giant metal "nugget" that holds the lace together. The sliding mechanism works really smoothly and holds nice and tight.

I used it to replace a broken lace on the Salomon XA Forces Mid. It has very good construction, and everything worked fine. It was simple to install. It includes instructions, and you should just replace them exactly as your current shoes are. The laces are slightly shorter than the factory's, but I enjoyed that, as from the factory, they were a little long for me.

These 'install' and then work just fine. I was a little leery that the metal 'joiner' would annoy meas it bounced against the front of my foot (my Supercross 4's do not have the 'tuck pouch' like some other models, so the extra lace after tightening is stretched out toward the toes on top of the foot), but they are not that heavy. I like that, since you are just tying a knot inside of each end that goes into that metal joiner, you can easily adjust the length by cutting shorter and re-tying (which helps minimize the leftover lace after the pull is tightened up for those of us with models without that pouch).

Works well and easy to follow instructions. Worth the money
