UPDATE: since my review, I purchased the recently released “Pro” MC100 SSD enclosure. What separates it from the unit I reviewed: a third USB port. This third port is USB2.0 speed and power, advertised as a USB mic port. It also provides the fan enough juice but only when connected to external power. If you need to run the fan and SSD combo, the MC100 Pro is the only one that will support it. However… What I’ve discovered is that my gen4 x4 m.2 SSDs don’t run nearly as hot in these enclosures as I was expecting. With 10Gbit xfer chips in the enclosures, my SSD is hardly breaking a sweat to saturate the bus. Even the optional static cooling fins seem to be overkill, even when recording long form 4K24 bRAW. Because of this, I find access to the MagSafe array on the rear of the SSD enclosure far outweighs using either cooling solution, at this point. Original review below: A nice sink and fan with 3 speeds but no off. A tiny button next to the USB-C port controls the fan speed and there are no distracting indicator lights. The fan and TEC draw too much voltage to be powered by my iPhone 15 PM; YMMV. What’s a TEC? Thermal Electric Cooler, aka Peltier cooler. It’s simply a powered, thermal conductive plate that pulls heat from one side and transfers it to the other. The back of the heatsink has a MagSafe array that holds well enough, with a silicone cover to protect your iPhone’s back glass. For the best performance, use only when directly mated to the Hagibis MagSafe SSD housing or iPhone without case. Any case will significantly diminish the TEC’s cooling performance. What separates this from the rest? It’s smaller: at 1cm thick and a diameter matching their SSD housings, it will not impose on your video recording, even when stacked atop an SSD, while using the ultra-wide camera. YMMV. It also has no lights. None. No status indicator or RGB disco array: this is designed to keep your iPhone or SSD cool while recording video to an external disk and disco lights ruin recordings. You can use this for gaming but it’s been designed to serve photographers/videographers.

It gets cold like advertised... Pretty sure I was given a used one, the cord it came with was wrapped up all sorts of terribly and tbh, the cooling effect it had was okay, it just didn't seem to have much of an effect on my phone directly. So I question how well the cooling will be on the SSD case, I intend to purchase it when I have the money for it, and at some point down the road I'll purchase an 2230 SSD for it (prices are insane right now). But yeah.. Pretty sure I was given a used item that was resealed or maybe it just doesn't have insane cooling like it suggests for phones directly?

I like how this just snaps on with MagSafe and stays in place. It cools down pretty quickly and you can feel the difference when it kicks on. Super easy to use and small enough to throw in any bag without thinking about it if itll fit. Super portable and is well made for a cooler. Versatile enough for my phone and ipad. Build feels decent and the design is clean, works across different setups without much trouble. Only thing I’m a little cautious about is condensation since it gets cold fast, but haven’t run into any issues yet. Overall solid and does what it’s supposed to.

Very interesting item. It gets very cold to the touch and cools down my phone. It is also very slim for what it is, which is always a plus for me. However, it required USB c to run as far as I'm aware, and the fan is on the back. The fan placement is a requirement in this form factor but it's a bit annoying not being able to use this to cool my phone in my SmallRig Phone Cage because of this design. Overall, great product and works well, just beware of it's shortcomings in this form factor.

Would have been perfect since its small, no RGB as i dont want it to light up except for the fact no where in the article do they say it requires 10w of power input to run the device. Ill have to carry an External power bank but for what i wanted it for thats a real hassle. I just wanted something to help dump the phone heat consistently off it when im in an extended use session. I might as well just use my USB travel fan instead and save the cash.

Great product. This is my first phone cooler. I bought this for my iPhone 17 pro max. Even with a vapor cooler built in, my phone gets pretty warm when gaming and or charging. This cooling fan makes the whole frame of my phone cool to cold to touch. I used it while charging so keep in mind it requires an additional cable to work while charging. I also use it without my case on. It's MagSafe and is efficient. I recommend this product. I love that its low profile and also because it doesnt have a light show!!!

It’s very effective at keeping my phone cool and it’s pretty quiet too. It kind of sticks out when you’re using it but it’s at a place where it’s comfortable to hold your phone while still having the fan on and it’s pretty light so you don’t necessarily notice it until you touch it. I’ve dropped it a few times now and there’s no issues with the body or its performance.

Ho acquistato questo dispositivo di raffreddamento circa un anno fa e, dopo averlo messo alla prova in ogni condizione possibile, posso dire senza ombra di dubbio che è uno dei migliori accessori mai presi per il mio telefono. ​Abito in zone dove l'estate non perdona e chiunque usi molto lo smartphone sa quanto il caldo sia il nemico numero uno delle prestazioni e della batteria. Ecco com'è andata dopo 12 mesi di utilizzo intenso: Prestazioni sotto il sole cocente: L'ho testato nelle situazioni più estreme: in spiaggia sotto il sole diretto, in auto durante i viaggi più lunghi e mentre giocavo a titoli pesanti con temperature ambientali altissime. Risultato? Il telefono è sempre rimasto fresco, zero surriscaldamenti e nessun calo di prestazioni (niente più fastidiosi lag o luminosità dello schermo che si abbassa da sola). ​Aggancio magnetico perfetto: La connessione magnetica è comodissima e stabilissima. ペルチェ素子とは明記されていないと思いますが、AIに確認するとペルチェ素子を使用しているようで実際すごく冷えます。 良いところは設置面全体が冷えることでメタルリングを通してスマホに温度が伝わることでしょうか。 中心部しか冷えない装置だとリングの中心の空間だけを冷やしてしまい効果が激減します。 また、静音性にも優れており3段階のうち一番弱くするとほぼ無音です。 あとはやはり派手で無いこと。 黒一色で余分な発光が一切ありません。 薄いのも良い。 【追記】 一ヶ月経たずに異音を発し始め、ファンが回らなくなりました。 ギリギリ返品できて良かった… ただ、ブラックが売り切れていて代替品を購入できなーい。

after ~4 months of use the fan died, leading to the cooler overheating and scorching my finger at 60c

Dommage que ça ait besoin d'être branché pour fonctionner. j'ai mis la plaque aimant entre le téléphone et la coque, donc le ventilo tient bof, je trouvais ça moche de coller l'aimant par-dessus la coque et ca rendait la coque non lavable (ce que je fais régulièrement) du coup faut aider à le tenir pendant utilisation
