best budget variable ND filter I've tried
The 2 photos I've included were at 25 to 40 second exposures, some softness has been caused by wind on the smaller trees - this is due to testing conditions! with that out the way, this is actually pretty sharp overall and better than the other variable I've tried. If you zoom in to the central trees in the included pictures, you should be able to make out bark patterning fairly easy. I would prefer it to be a bit stronger for my work but its a perfect early evening/night filter, or to attach with something like a 1000ND in bright light, alternatively, you could use this at low settings to open your aperture more. Crosses only appear at the limit where it switches between ND400 and 2 setting, everything else is cross free with minimal vignetting. motion blur is very smooth from the cloud and i suspect water would be the same. The single con: there IS a blue toning to this, its mild and not as bad as many other cheap ND filters, but its there. If your intending to shoot for colour, you can compensate by setting up your white balance a little warmer or fix in post. However, its very rare for cheap variable ND filters to have any pros - and this has done well with sharpness and lack of crosses, colour could be worse too, so is you cant double your budget and want a variable, just go for this one - from experience this is as good as its likely to get. I'm looking forward to taking this to Birmingham next month for some architecture shooting where I think it will excel even more, and I hope to include some extra shots from this great product.

Decent ND filter
I have used some cheap ND filter in the past and this feels a notably better. Not top tier quality but at the same time not bottle of the barrel either. These filters are great for adding the clarity in darker areas on the bright sunny day. These do take some getting used to regarding the setting on your camera. It can be too easy to over compromise, so defiantly practise using this filter in different conditions to know what best setting to use for your camera or where the threshold is to take the filter off.

Works Well
Decent quality, happy with it. It is quite thin which made it a little awkward to differentiate between twisting the ND filter itself and taking it off. But otherwise it does what it's supposed to.

Does the job and it's not bad
This certainly acts as an ND filter and it doesn't have a terrible colour shift (there is a little colour shift, but nothing too bad). The build quality isn't on par with say a Lee filter. So the filter does the job it's meant to do, but I've given 4 stars only because the markings on the filter are totally wrong. If you go by the markings you'll actually get ND densities that are the wrong way round, so for the one I received I have to go by the appearance rather than the markings. I might have received one that was marked up wrong, or it could be a general problem. I have no way of knowing. For overall performance I'd probably say 4.5 stars, but with the markings it's a 4 star.Of course this doesn't cost what the big names charge - and the price of some of those big name filters is so high that I for one would never be able to justify getting one.

Works really well
I’m by no means a professional, but this filter worked really well for me. Playing with different video settings on my DSLR, it lets me effectively control the amount of light coming into the lens for good exposure. I love it!
