Delighted with purchase
Absolutely love it , made a perfect loaf with it , and it looks great out on the kitchen work surface. It is heavy to get in and out of the oven - but the handles make that relatively easy

Impressive results, great value
I resisted buying a cast iron dutch oven for my sourdough for several years, using an old stainless steel stockpot which gave (what I thought were) good results.Started looking at the LC bread oven but was unimpressed with the high cost and it being 24cm, which is too small for a standard 900g boule loaf. I still liked the design better than a traditional Dutch Oven pot. Then Amazon presented the Nuovva equivalent, at a much more reasonable price. I looked into the company and found it to be UK based (thought products seem to be made in China) and reviews were good. Now having used it several times I am so impressed with the ease of use and great consistent results. This pot is 26cm wide (internal) so has just the right room for steam to circulate, the loaf to rise and not touch the sides to risk burning.Cream interior does become a little stained, but I expected that given the high temperature need. I chose the black exterior for this reason. So pleased with the purchase, I thoroughly recommend this to other bakers.

Lovely bread pan
I have been using a cast iron pot and lid but really wanted the more expensive version of this. I had this at a deal price of £64.99 and it arrived well packed day after order. I was a bit sceptical reading reviews on chips in the enamel but after a quick check we were good to go. I have cooked 5 sourdough breads in it since I received this and I have to say I'm happy. Its still a bit of learning cure with temperatures ect. I need to say that I have added ice for steam no problem and it had no effect on my enamel. After use I leave it cool down and then wipe clean with a damp clean cloth and it removed any marks from the flour and ice ect. I have added photos of how it looks after being used 5 times and also the bread I made today.Things I like areIt is heavy but not as heavy as my cast iron pan.The lid is easy to remove mid cooking. How evenly is cooks the bread all around ( this might have something to do with the base being shallow once the lid is removed). It is not overly big so fits lovely in my oven.I do not need to use a sling to get it in or out is a big bonus .Very easy to clean.

Attractive, sturdy and hopefully effective...
A really lovely pot.. Yes, its heavy but then, it's cast iron... I haven't baked in it yet - planned for tomorrow - but I washed it through and, as recommended, oiled the rims top and bottom where there is no enamel.. It arrived perfect, no chips, I checked carefully as per suggestions in reviews, and all good.. Really excited about the try out as I have never used a Dutch oven before. The colour is a good vibrant red - hopefully it will stay with that more or less. I see some people complained about not being able to put it into a hot oven - the directions indicate to put it in when the oven is cold and let it reach temperature naturally - seems like good advice - thank goodness for decent oven gloves... So pleased so far....

Very nice quality enameled pot
Very nice quality enameled pot - satisfyingly heavy - and great value compared with big name alternatives. My bread making is not yet at the same quality however!

Excellent for baking sourdough
Absolutely delighted with this bread oven. I was using a standard Dutch oven to bake my sourdough (very famous, very expensive brand), and I feel this does a better job. I've been using it for months now, and bake at least 2 loaves a week. No need to add ice cubes, I just pop the bread on the silicon sling and bake from a cold start with a cold dutch oven pot. My bread comes out really well, with great oven spring. After my daughter used it for frying eggs, I would not use it for anything but bread, as it is not non-stick and took ages to clean after shed used it. If you're a bread baker, I reckon you'll love this. I waited until it was on offer and it was such good value.

Great for us single breadmakers
Bought specifically for breadmaking and it doesn't dissapoint there. First loaf has easily beaten my breadmaker machine. Easy enough to clean afterwards, just remember to let it cool before cleaning.

Cast iron Dutch bread maker
I bought the Dutch bread oven recently as a present for my daughter, l guess l was expecting something different what l got, my daughter was pleased and that's all that matters. The colour was a colbert blue very striking, the dish is of heavy oven proof cast iron metal so quite heavy, very like the French couquet dishes.Overall the proof will be in the pudding ....oops bread results!

This pan is worth is weight in GOLD!
I had been baking my bread in a 7.25 qt Le Creuset dutch oven. I needed to bake a LOT of bread for a fundraiser, so I started looking for a cast iron bread oven or multi cooker – something with a shallow base and tall lid. I was looking at the Le Creuset bread oven, but $300+ for such a specific pan... OUCH! This pan came up as a suggestion. For $60, I'll give it a try. I am so happy I did! This pan bakes the most beautiful bread, golden crust, perfection! The pan arrived well packed, no chips or damage. It's nearly the exact same color as my Le Creuset Cerise red pans. My Le Creuset are older, so they have black knobs not silver. The interior of this pan is a light enamel just like the LC dutch ovens. One thing that drove me to this pan instead of the LC bread oven is the LC bread oven has a matte black interior. In my experience, the darker the pan, the darker the finished product…This pan has the same height at the 7.25qt LC dutch oven. This pan bakes bread just as nice as my LC dutch oven. Nice even heating. I mostly use a silicone bread sling. I use parchment sheets if there are additions (blueberries, cheddar/jalapeno, etc) to prevent a mess in the pan as they bubble/burn.I always have a pizza stone on the rack directly under the pan when baking bread, whether using this pan or the LC dutch oven. Grandma said to do it, so I do!! Guess it helps prevent a dark bottom on the bread. This pan is a workhorse. I baked 144 loaves in 6 weeks, plus many more since then. The pan is still in great condition, no chips or cracks. The silver knob on top is a duller silver, but that is expected after many hours in a 450 oven.
