I have also rekindled my love of these dolls so I have decided to keep her and let my Mum hold her during the day. The downside is lack of a second choice of clothes (you only receive the red outfit and a muslin type blanket) and no dummy or bottle. However you can get the accessories quite cheaply, and you can try prem baby clothes which I did with my other reborn dolls. It also might have been nice if she had planted hair but that would have bumped the price up most likely. I think this doll is beautiful. She arrives gift wrapped with a little bow. The price is high but she is high quality, I would definitely recommend her, but not for very young children. The doll is very floppy so does need to be cradled, could have done with being a little more rigid as its abit “lifeless” how it is and may be difficult for younger children to handle. The silicone is very soft and squidgy which does make the doll feel more realistic when holding. My daughter would like some more outfits to dress baby as the one provided is quite plain and simple. Positives: Arrives in a big box with the doll enclosed in a cellophane bag tied with a red rosette. Weighs the same as a small baby. Beautiful facial features. Feet have little creases, just like real babies. Very cuddly. Good quality silicone, which is soft, flexible and completely different to the materials used for ‘ordinary’ dolls. Negatives: Head is very wobbly and hangs backwards making it awkward to hold and not sure how well it will stand up to use. It’s definitely a ‘floppy baby’ and doesn’t reflect a real baby’s joints in the slightest. It’s probably too heavy for younger children. No accessories, apart from what I assume is supposed to be a blanket. A little bit of downy hair would have been nice. I’ve got fixed feelings about this doll; the delight on my granddaughter’s face and the fact that she rarely puts it down means that this was a perfect choice for her. However, I’d consider this to be a premium product given it costs £189 but it doesn’t quite live up to its price. I expected a second set of clothes, dummy, feeding bottle etc. but there’s just this white blanket-like thing and that’s it. Given how floppy the doll is, especially the head, and the weight of it, I’d suggest looking at a smaller version for younger children.
