Works great, wish for better blade selection
It works great with any kitchen stand mixer that has the universal attachment adapter (cuisinart, kitchen aid, ...). It is relatively easy to clean and does a good job - except for really hard veggies or cheeses. What I didn't like too much was the choice of cuts. But the waffle cut and regular cheese/veggie grating attachments are definitely very practical and make large jobs a breeze.Less useful were for me the blades for small squares of about 1.5mm diameter, 3 mm, and a rather thin (1.5 mm) regular disc slice. Considering that one has to feed the vegetable into the slicer so that one only can generate sectional cuts, the two square inserts generate a ton of very short sticks (from the tiny fizzes at the sides of the veggie to the max length in the center of the diameter of carrot, squash, cucumber...). In a classical mandoline, one can slice the veggie lengthwise, and therefore gets many sticks of even length, which are perfect for e.g. zoodles or salads. So, not too useful unless one has a dish with plenty of short veggie sticks. Any Asian salad, for instance, will be hard to eat with a ton of tiny pieces of carrot, cucumber as ingredients.Second, the plain/flat slices are paperthin. Most dishes require somewhat thicker (really only slightly thicker, so this was a close miss) slices. They are almost see-through thin. E.g. potato chips, or cucumber salad, or any gratins require something that is not falling apart into mush during cooking...Also, since there is a gap between the rotating drum and the case, and the slice is so thin, the blade slips out of the veggie at the end of the cut, and the skin will be pressed into that gap. At the end of e.g. slicing a cucumber or zucchini, one will find a long flap of uncut skin in this gap.Anyway, this sounds overly critical. It still finds a lot of use, in particular for shredding cheeses and doing other large jobs.

Easy to use and clean! Works great!
The media could not be loaded. GVODE Slicer Shredder Attachment: Really happy with this set! Here's why:1. Comes packaged in a box that will also store the components between uses. The box has a picture of each blade and how food looks when prepped by that blade.2. Very easy to clean. No scraped knuckles trying to reach in and clean blades. They include a brush but everything I have used in it so far just rinsed off in water, no scrubbing or brush needed.3. Easy to change blades. However, the instructions tell you to slide the blade assembly up and down. This is not how the blades attach. See video for correct method.4. Grated or sliced easily and quickly. We made a pasta salad, used three different blades for various components. Pictures include the grated carrots prepped using the cone blade. Onions were prepped using the fine blade as we needed them very fine and with juice. Then for fun tried the wave stripe blade on carrots (see picture). The slices were uniform thickness as were the carrots and onions we grated.5. Attaches to mixer like any KitchenAid attachment. Fit well and securely.6. The inner blade holder can be removed for blade changes without removing the main attachment. There is a release lever you push to secure or remove it.7. The blades are sharp and did their job easily.Notes and suggestions:1. Although an instruction book is provided, it did not correctly demonstrate how to put the blades on or take them off (see video for how it is done). There is an arrow on the end of each blade. This is the portion of the blade that snaps into place and where you pull out to release the blade. Just below the arrow is a letter. This identifies the blade. The one in the photo is D. They don't tell you anywhere what that corresponds to but can help you match up blades if for some reason you get confused in pairing them (not likely as each set looks different). I made labels for each bag the blades are stored in to easily identify the one I want to use.2. On Amazon, the product page provides some details not included in the instruction book, such as not to use hard cheese and if using soft cheese, to refrigerate at least 30 minutes before grating.3. I have a tall, bowl-lift mixer. I found I needed to elevate the container that was catching the food I was prepping or the slices tended to get thrown out in a wider pattern that the bowl would catch if left on the counter. It would be easy to secure a bag around the face of the grater to catch everything if this is a problem or you don't have room for a larger bowl. With tilt-up KitchenAid models, the grater may sit close enough to the counter to not have this be an issue.Overall, I was very happy with the performance of this unit. I was especially happy with the ease of cleaning and blade changes.

Adequate off brand attachment
Price at time of review: $49.99Quality: 5/5Value: 4.5/5This slicer/shredder attachment has worked great for cheeses and vegetables.Unboxing: This came with all the attachments and accessories pictured. The box it came in can double as a storage container while the attachment is not in use.Attachment to mixer: This fit my Kitchenaid stand mixer perfectly. It wasn't difficult to install and start using. All the pieces needed for attaching and using the equipment are in the box.First/ongoing use: This comes with an instruction manual of how to use, if you don't already know how to use each attachment option. I opted to shred my cheese first and noticed a smooth shred that didn't stick to the attachment and fell to the bowl below easily. The barrel is large enough to fit a regular size block of cheese. The food pusher made it easy to finish off the cheese once it got to low for my fingers. When slicing vegetables I noticed I had to use a higher power button but it still sliced the carrots and potatoes with ease.Cleaning: All attachments are dishwasher safe. After several washes there hasn't been discoloration or warping. I do a quick rinse right after use and then place the attachments in the dishwasher.I love that this came with several different slicer/shredder options. It's multifunctional and has been easy to store, clean, and use for several weeks now.I do worry about the quality and longevity of use. The material appears a bit cheaper than name brand attachments, but I haven't experienced any issues as of yet.
