Awesome handheld
This handheld console can play many different games from many different consoles. It's super comfortable to hold and lightweight to be able to play for a while at a time. The screen size is just right, super clear, and small enough to pretty comfortably fit in a pocket. The buttons work great, but the shoulder buttons are a little clicky for me. The battery life is pretty great, depending on the games you want to play. I've been able to play Gameboy Advance, N64, SNES, and even PSP games on it without any issues so far. Lower quality games don't use a lot of power though, so you can get a lot of playtime just playing Gameboy games. It's also very customizable. I installed a different operating system on it, which was pretty easy to do and installed plenty of games on it with lots of space left on the 64gb SD card that it comes with. The included charging cable is nice, but a little short. It uses USB-C so I've been able to use one of my longer cables with it. Overall, super great purchase and I know I'll get a lot of use out of it!

Great value for the cost, better in a modder's hands. Get a protective case.
TLDR: fantastic value for the money, even more value for a modder or someone willing to learn. Grab a protective case as the screen took internal damage for me from a short fall. A great little device that can reliably play games up to the Dreamcast, PS1, Nintendo DS, and N64 eras. 2D PSP games work fine, more demanding ones start to get choppy due to resource demand. Fantastic bang for your buck, but the device doesn't come with many modern games. You'll need some modding experience (or willingness to learn) to unlock this device's potential. My biggest concern is with the durability of the device, and is the only reason I'm giving this 4 stars. The device dropped from my couch to the wood floor once and didn't sustain any body damage, but the screen has some artifacting now that suggests internal damage.

Awesome little device
Working great for itโs intended purpose. It came with a kioxia (spelling) card with a pretty good operating system and a lot of oldddd games like a few thousand but nothing terribly interesting. I got a new card and installed knulli which is a nicer looking operating system and has many options for tweeking everything but definitely took a hit on battery life. Device works pretty good with DC and PSP but not every game. PSX, SFC, FC, SG, And all the older consoles work perfectly. Thumbsticks work fine and placement is pretty good (I actually use them a lot). The screen is very clear, bright and a reasonable size. Overall this is a great product and I think certainly worth the price. If you want all the blockbuster games be ready to do lots of investigating as well as tinkering with a computer.

No longer works after one week. Pretty impressive in the beginning!
2025.06.04, the device wonโt turn on after the fourth day of playing on it ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ it had so much potential so I donโt know what happened?!?! So will be returning this product. 2025.06.01, got a hand held in thailand for $70. Worked for a month then it stopped charging. Compared to this handheld, the retroid is much more seamless and customizable. Pretty impressive game titles that it comes with. After testing out four games, one didnโt load correctly. The Digimon world, I forgot which system I was testing outโฆ Iโll do more testing and will update the review. Really worth the cash so far! Iโll probably get one for my sister

Pretty cool. Worth the money spent.
Works well, great price point. A mini to full sized HDMI plugs it into my TV, good times.

Amazing product, my kid loved it
This little console is awesome. Tons of classic games, smooth controls, and the screen looks way better than I expected. Perfect for killing time or reliving old-school games. Super portable and just fun to have around. Great buy!

Missing a lot of big title games!
The games works fine. I just hate that im going to have to do the extra work of installing games. There were NO GBA games installed! No mario games! That's all I really wanted it for! Smh. Welp, let me go figure this out and buy extra sd cards and stuff!

Great handheld for beginners
Love this thing. It was a little confusing at first, since im new to emulating. But once i got it figured out, it was a walk in the park. The battery life is a little weak, i wish it had more, but thats not a huge issue. Plays almost every ps1 game ive tried perfectly. Only about 30 to 40 percent of psp games will run on this thing. If theyre too large, it will frame skip and lag a bit. GTA started lagging almost immediately. Good news, i can play the OG star wars battlefront 2. But the spinoffs dont work - renegade and elite squadron. N64 games work really well but the button mapping is a little difficult to get used to. Its kind of hard to mimic that old n64 controller. I loved it, but man was it wierd. Gameboy games, nes, older games run great. The fighting games are a little difficult to play, again its a button mapping thing. If youre new to this, To load your own games, (while powered off) just insert a blank micro sd card into the second slot. Then power up. The anbernic will put all the folders it needs in the sd card. Then give it a minute and shut it down. Then insert your micro sd card into your computer. Copy and paste the games to their respective folders. Then put the card back in the anbernic. Pretty simple if you already have roms saved in your computer.
