I give this to my dog for cancer. He gets 2 per day mixed into his food. I actually take them out of the caplet and just pour the mushroom powder out. The caplet itself is completely unnecessary and one extra thing to digest for him. So far so good. He seems to like the taste and no bad reaction to it. I was giving him a mushroom powder blend for a couple months before I found this brand which is a much better deal per Mg. I cannot say for certain if its slowing down his illness but no new tumors have occurred since using it and its been almost 2 months of treatment. I plan on continuing with this brand not only for the value but because in contrast to a blend of different mushrooms, Turkey Tail is very high up the cancer fighter list and with this he gets a full dose of it vs just a smaller amount in a mushroom blend.
